MIAM was a cohesive body of work but it didn't have any strong singles. Caution seems like a collection of potential hit singles sequenced to tell a story like Rainbow. Caution seems like a Rainbow/E=MC2 hybrid.

10 tracks? (85,385)
by We are Lambily from USA

Yes mama, I'm loving every bit of the shade, I honestly feel like MIAM is one of Mariah greatest albums and I will never get over the potential of that era.
Now let's appreciate these 10 "11" songs and maybe the the next project will arrive quickly.

Bill I thought the same. Seriously I was frightened. I mean even normal clowns are a bit spooky but horror clowns are just awful. If I was a kid at the age of Mariah's children I would get nightmares for a long time. Does anybody know why the clowns were "meeting" MC and her children? In the article it sounds like they are fans from Osaka.

I found the look on Mariah's face at the end when "When you believe" won quite funny like she already didn't know her. Did anyone else ever notice this lol.

Money (85,381)
by RibbonB from USA

I love Mariah's song Money, but Cardi B's song Money is absolutely banging and takes it many levels higher. So good. Mimi Should get Cardi or Kim to do a remix of A No No and go all in. I don't really get A NoNo, but she's giving attitude.

AIWFCIY remake by PJ Morton (85,380)
by Licia from USA
| |

PJ does a nice little rendition of the song with Storkley from the group Mint Condition. Y'all know how much that song gets on my nerves after the 50003221st time of hearing it remade and sung by Mariah for three months. You can listen here if interested. It might not be pleasing to everyone, but It's nice. They made it their own.

Did Epic release A No No from the album? I don't know if everybody else knows, but A No No is now showing up as track 4 on Amazon. However, you can't download it like the other 3 released tracks. These songs being released or leaked is becoming interesting everyday. I just feel that there will be more than 10 tracks on the album on November 16th.

"Loving You" would still be a piece of cake for Mariah to cover with her current voice, but "Back Down Memory Lane"? Well, Ms. Riperton effed that song up making it impossible for anybody else to sing it. I wouldn't want Mariah to even try it. That classic should be left untouched.

Wouldn't Music Box be considered Mariah's Thriller? It's sold 28 million copies worldwide. Hard to believe Mariah only has two best selling albums of the year: Mariah Carey (1991) and TEOM (2005). Why wasn't Daydream considered the best selling album of 95 or 96? The best selling album of 1995 Hootie and the Blowfish's Cracked Rear View sold 7,020,000 and the best selling album of 1996 Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill sold 7,380,000 while Daydream sold 10,000,000.

If the tour is well received and financially successful Mariah and her team will most likely add other dates. Unless she residency contract prevents her from visiting certain states (territories?).

My friend was saying the same thing. I'm wondering if they are going to release more dates with more places, but are just trying to test the waters with sells for these first shows. I do hope that's the case.

I'd love to hear her try Loving You or Back Down Memory Lane by Minnie, Ever-changing Times by Seidah Garrett (Aretha remade this one with Micheal McDonald), How Can I Ease the Pain by Lisa Fischer, and Black Butterfly or Silly by Deniece Williams. I have so many more that I can't think of at the moment. I shall return with a new list.

They might as well leak the whole album then on November 16th, drop an entirely different album. Now that would be epic.

Indeed. But if we're to believe the hype of 200 million records sold, then the debut far surpasses everything, selling c. 61 million units. It's the only album not captured by Soundscan so simple arithmetic will get you to that figure when you consider her other album sales officially total 139 million. Unless of course Mariah's album sales are counted by Enron's accountancy firm (they were known to, shall we say, round up).

I was just going to say that, but it could actually be "Music Box" in terms of sales. Those are her most successful albums.

Blue color for Caution album (85,364)
by Chicago Lamb from USA
| |
|

Hey, maybe Mariah's blue hue for her album art is a subtle reference to her political choices? Generally, she shies away from making statements in the political arena. In the U.S., blue is for Democrats and red is used for the Republicans. Our mid-term elections here are upon us and the rhetoric has been ever present for about a minute.
