I love this idea. In Chicago here but a FaceTime to join the U.K. lambs would be cool.

Mariah's anniversary 2018 (80,753)
by Anonymous from

Hey peeps. Plan on having a Mariah anniversary party in London for UK lambs and would love other countries to have their own parties. Time zones allowing, we could facetime or send pictures and updates. Lets finally all meet up, and celebrate the lovely Mariah. As her birthday is on a Tuesday we could celebrate the weekend before, potentially the Saturday if easier (23rd). Happy to arrange venue, was thinking food, drinks and Mariah Careyoke. If anyone from overseas would like to attend London meet up then happy to help out with arranging flights and accommodation. Let's celebrate Mariah's anniversary together globally. One

Yep, agree 100%. YDKWTD could have been such a hot summer jam. Still love that song. So many gems on that album.

Yeah I agree. MIAM is a very good, solid, album. Received alot of positive reviews from music critics. It's very unfortunate that MIAMI didn't sell well. Alot of gross miss management when it came to that album.

Mariah may have dropped Infinity, I Don't, Unforgettable as just something for all the impatiant lambs. She could have some masterpiece recorded thats she's been working on for years and just needs to finish the story it will tell. Anyways we will not know until the time comes.

Ditto Tyler. By the way, I love MIAM. To me it was solid although it didn't get much promotion. Personally, I enjoy all of her albums and as a whole. Carry on MC. Secretive behavior is good.

What a great post Tijl. I enjoyed it a lot. I had all the described scenes on my mind. Perfect daydream. Haha. And I also think most of us love the same videos of the one and only Mariah. Those are my favorites too plus Heartbreaker (funny and MC was rocking the cinema), ABMB remix with Da Brat (Mariah looks like a model and the cat scene is just gorgous), Bringin on the Heartbreak (love her style, the red dress and the little "tribute" for the rose movie) and last but not least Fantasy (love the typical 90ies flair and the skating and rollercoaster riding Mariah).

On his latest commercial. I look forward to the Superbowl commercials. I liked his Christmas commercial for T-Mobile, but hopefully this one will be better. I'm really glad that he and Mimi seem to have worked out the parenting thing although I miss all the videos of Dembabies that Nick used to share with the fans. Rocky gets an A for effort on his "I have a Dream" recitation on MLK day.

How do you know what she is doing right now? How can you speak on something you have little facts around? I actually hope while recording the next album she gives little details around producers ect. I think you need to calm down and have several seats.

She could be making music although it would seem very sporadically. We honestly don't know what she does in between the random photo ops. If dinner outings, shopping trips, random award show appearances, etc. Her nephew Shawn seems to imply that she has some monster Grammy worthy project cooking up in the studio. On Grammy night he tweeted that he hasn't attended since 2006, but he plans to attend next year. I will be pleasantly surprised if she releases new music in time for Grammy consideration. I font see that happening this year though. Based on dongs like I Don't and her shaky feature on Unforgettable, I'm not sure. Mariah has said that she would like to work with Kendrick Lamar and that would be very interesting if it happens. I can't even imagine how that would sound. I am hoping for something great, but this is one time when I don't know what to expect from her musically. She really had lowered the bar since MIAM and though it has sone good sounds, MIAM is far from her best.

Super blue blood moon (80,741)
by this_is_qhm from the Philippines

Suddenly the phrase "once in a lifetime" takes on a bigger meaning. Let us all be grateful for this moment, one that we may never get to witness again in this lifetime, that for some reason, we have been the extreenly blessed ones chosen to witness this rare phenomenon. It's one thing to see an eclipse. Another to get a glimpse of a blue moon. And another to catch a blood moon. But to watch all three unfold right in front of our very eyes is not just unbelievable - it's destined. And that's how all of us managed to be together whilst being oceans and lands apart. Happy Lunar Trifecta y'all.

My ultimate list of favourite videos (80,740)
by Tijl from Belgium
| |
|
|
It seems that we all share the same favourite videos. Following Andrew's point that it is impossible to pick one absolute video here is my list depending om my mood or my needs. Most iconic: "Honey". The ultimate break and liberation from her old image featuring a sexy yet classy Mariah Bond. Highlight: That escape into the pool wearing those fabulous Gucci heels. Most gorgeous: "I Still Believe". A tribute to Marilyn and Brenda K. Starr, this video shows Mariah looking absolutely gorgeous. She pulls of Old Hollywood glamour like none other. Highlight: Close-ups of Mariah in a jumpsuit with a ponytail driving dem marines crazy. Most random: "Sweetheart". Despite being hidden in the obscurity of '90s RnB collaborations this remains one of my all time favourites. A great juxtaposition of Mariah and JD with slick and longing lyrics. Highlight: Mariah lounging in the Guggenheimm useum holding a white cat. Honestly? Most kitsch: "Get Your Number". A perfect song when preparing for a night on the town. A bronzed Mariah barely clothed flirting like there is no tomorrow and bragging about her penthouse and G4. Highlight: Mariah on a gigantic bleeding telephone. Most sophisticated: "It's Like That". The queen returning to prominence with a banger clearly stating that it will happen the way she sees fit. Beautiful cinematography, gorgeous sets and Mariah looking like a million dollars. Highlight: Every single frame is fabulous but nothing beats the opening scene where she is escorted down the staircase: "I came to have a party..." culminating in a cliffhanger that made every lamb crave for more. Most adult: " The Roof". Her sexiest song to date. A very different and more mature approach within her formula of looking sexy. This Mariah is longing and the viewer is doing accordingly. Great '80s vibe with the vintage limo and superb styling. If only "Glitter" had a notch of this video it could have been quite a different 2001 for Mariah. Highlight: Mariah straight up through the skylight of the car clearly enjoying the caresses of the warm November rain.

I knew it, the photo she tweeted of how she "misses" her "second home" was just an obvious stunt, when in fact she wasn't really doing anything in making new music. She's so full of [censored].

You are so right Tameka. It has been a while for me since I have listened to a complete album from the beginning to end, of course other than Mariah's. Bruno's voice and catchy songs would make you do that.

I sometimes find having to nominate your favourite anything in terms absolute quite a difficult thing and I think you hit the nail on the head almost. I have favourite movies/films. I have a favourite psychological thriller, a favourite comedy and so on (Silence of the Lambs and As Good As It Gets if you're interested lol). And so it has always been with Mariah, such is the amount of my life I have dedicated to her. I have a favourite ballad, a favourite uptempo, a favourite power vocal, a favourite sex song (yup, I've actually stopped sex and said "wait, listen to this bit"). I probably couldn't say there's one ultimate favourite because it depends what you are looking for at that specific time. And so it is with the videos. Agree with you that Touch My Body is the best video for comedy (actually its CTTA - but for different reasons lol). Would offer that Honey is the best for storyline, The Roof the best for making people pause during sex, ILT the best for sophistication and DFAU the best for Mariah looking like she could turn all the gay men across the kingdom straight. Well, it worked on Nick Cannon. Keep having babies, Nick. That'll make the urge go away.

Bruno Mars (80,734)
by Tameka walker from United states

I just want to say that I think Bruno Mars deserved every award that he got at the Grammys. There seems to be a lot of talk that Bruno didn't deserve it or whatever. Let me say this every time over this past year his music was in escapable. I listen to that CD it is off the hook. His music remind me of Michael Jackson. I also think that if Mariah works with him, she could have a hit. But of course she is good in her own right. I really do believe that the Grammys got it right this year. The only thing I would change is that more women should have won too.

Exactly. His first two albums have a lot of bangers that would fit Mariah. It's worth a try. I just want to hear what they could come up with together. Ribbon I agree about Miguel. I'd love for her to explore more with him. I honestly don't care who she works with as long as the music is good.
