Re: Happy belated birthday (74,881) (74,885)

Time has really gone by fast it seems. I hope they all had a great day at Disneyland. Someone tweeted a candid shot of Mariah, Nick and Roc and Roe on some roller coaster type ride. Roe looked like maybe she got scared on the ride. Awww. I see Mariah's nephew Shawn was also at the event. Their little Mickey and Minnie Mouse cakes were as adorable as the twins.

Asia-exclusive album as next step? (74,884)
by Jeff from United States
| |
|
|
I know Mariah has had a commercial apocalypse in the States, which is a shame. I still love "I Don't" and listening to Me. I Am Mariah, I'm stunned that I previously thought it to be a lesser album than her previous works. The sequencing is truly brilliant and the fact that she could create such beautiful vocal inflections on "Thirsty" proves her artistry. Secretly I feel that Beyonce was inspired by that album (specifically Thirsty) as well as Solange (Cranes in the Sky steals from Stay the Night). But I have a feeling that Mariah's next step should be to do an Asia-exclusive album since her fanbase is still huge in Asia. I listened recently to IU's new single "Palette" and I can't help to see the Mariah's influence by the stacked vocals and quirky lyrics. I live in Korea, grew up in the States, and my experience here has been a Mariah love fest in strange ways. I heard "Make it Look Good" at a convenience store, "Don't Stop Funkin' 4 Jamaica" at a popular department store, "You Don't Know What to Do" playing outside in a busy district, and every time I go to a karaoke room, I can always find Mariah rarities such as Outside, Close My Eyes, everything from the Glitter Soundtrack, yet... Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Madonna and Beyonce don't have an extensive catalogue available even in Seoul karaoke rooms, only the major major hits. I mean, I can rarely find New Order's Blue Monday or Culture Club's Do You Really Want to Hurt Me. Yet for Mariah, I can find most of her catalogue even in karaoke rooms in the boondocks of Korea. I feel like she should do something akin to what Mary did with the London Sessions and maybe do a "Korea Sessions" and branch out. Her albums have always done well on the Gaon Charts and BTS's cover of #Beautiful was extremely popular here, even to the point where you can no longer watch Mariah's original on VeVo without disrespectful comments saying BTS covered it better. Just a suggestion. She is the only current American artist to have conquered Asia. I know the horde always say that Mariah is not an international star like Madonna since she didn't conquer Europe, but that is simply an ethnocentric notion purporting Europe to be the center of the world. Asia has a large population and has been rising in influence. Come on Stella, make this happen.

Mariah (74,883)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)

Let me start by saying we have all been influenced or influenced someone a time or two in our lives and Mariah is different after all she is human like the rest of us. I find as a majority of the fans hate Stella to maximum capacity we just want to nitpick at this point anything we can to say she is wrong for our Mariah we have become so spoiled with MC we find a majority everything wrong with everyone in her life. Don't get me wrong I am by no means a Stella loyalist because to me she has done anything to prove her worth as Mariah's manager but her last team became dead weight also but what do I know I am just a fan observing and with an opinion but at the end of the day I know that until Mariah decides Stella and company have to go they are not going anywhere. All I can do is either continue to support her in the ways I choose or leave her alone all together as for right now I may not like everything going on in Mariah's world but I am open to hear where the direction of the new album is going to go. I believe this new era will determine the duration of Mariah and Stella's business relationship.

Happy birthday (74,882)
by Lila from United States

I already wished them happy birthday from my Twitter account yesterday but I'll put it here to: Happy 6th birthday Monroe and Moroccan Cannon. I hope you had so much fun with mommy and daddy at Disneyland and that your 7th year will be even more blessed and fun than the 6th.

I can't believe I missed wishing the twins a happy birthday. I hope they enjoyed their party and I'm sure they were excited to have both mom and dad there. Time really flies. Before we know it they will be teenagers. I don't think Nick will be ready. Lol.

Mariah's fashion (74,879)
by darrian liu from taiwan
| |

I thought I was the only one thinking Mariah is somehow morphing into Stella with the leather jackets and tight jeans 24/7. I feel like her fashion choices are so off lately, I mean compare this era to the Idol era. Ugh. Stella is a toxic influence. When will Crustella finally be fired? Should we make another petition?

It's unofficial for sure, quality questionable. But could be fun to have all those tracks on one compilation.

Mariah-Stella (74,876)

Mariah is definitely morphing into a desperate new version of Stella. Like Stella, Mariah's bloated, her face has gotten round full moon like Stella, her wigs are kind of questionable, her cheek implants look like Stella's. I just hope she doesn't get contoured like Stella, well she did when she revived Bianca. They say lovers end up acting, talking and looking alike.

I was a long time collector. Some of my items are featured here. I bought fan made promo CDs. I never had a bad experience. I guess my only advice would be to check the person's feedback. Buying bootleg stuff is hit or miss.

Yes and Mariah never liked bags, especially the big ones. In the past she only had those little ones for an award show or something really special. So it's clear that her "docu series producer" is also the advisor for her fashion choices. Unbelievable.

I give a dislike to all the Mishka comments. As much as we don't like her mom, those comments are just evil.

Would anyone consider buying this unofficial release? I bought the Russian greatest hits package earlier this year and I have to say the sound quality sucked. I didn't know that was also unofficial.

Oh Edward, you know I leave the kids out of Crustella's shade, but I was really concerned that the teen either isn't a teen, or she is a with child one. Glad that is not the case. But look at all of her pics the past few months, she seems to pose behind others. But I'm done with it and wish her well.

Really wasn't about body shaming her, I never mention weight even on MC. She really looked like a pregnant lady in that video so I was worried. I read through her IG pics and someone even said to her weeks ago that she looks 6 weeks. Anyway, she is a cute girl, but she is looking a thirty-plus one on that video. I also read on one of her pics that this is her first intern job. She started at the top it seems.

Ribbon, that kid looks like that in the picture because she obviously had a extremely heavy meal. I'm very disappointed in you. Human beings are different, some get bloated, others get gas and so on. No reason to trash her, girl gotta eat.

And she is taking a picture with Shaunie O'Neal who produces the Basketball Wives series that does absolutely nothing but exploit black women, women of color period, by making them look like a bunch of thirsty, ghetto, dramatic, no class, always fighting bafoons, who for the majority aren't even married to basketball players anways, straight up to the curb clowns. Wow, that's women's empowerment for you. At least Shaunie looks nice.

Stella style (74,866)

Stella, that jacket needs to go and that tank top needs a wash. She apparently was a guest speaker at some luncheon promoting women empowerment and I can't at her wearing her uniform (jacket, unwashed tank top and tight jeans) to that event. Like woman a 34K Louis Vuitton trunk and yet you can't pick out something else and a little more formal to wear at an event like that?

Stella also kinda influenced Mariah carrying the ugly oversized bag situation. Now I love a good oversized bag but the ones Stella carry are downright ugly.

Mariah's biggest fashion problem is her refusing to wear her size. Andre Leon told her to lose weight but I don't think he was really saying Mariah you're fat. Her fashion choices requires a toned body like in 2008. She's starting to look like Stella. It's scary and ugly. I'd say bring back June Ambrose who did an amazing job during the MiMi era.

Come on now RibbonB, you know I love you and your posts, but let's not body shame the girl. It's hard as it is with such high standards for beauty that everyone feels inadequate. I have made it abundantly clear that I don't like Mishka's leech antics and her brat act but as for her looks, especially at the age she is it at, I wouldn't want her to feel pressurized to go get surgeries done. In fact I really wouldn't body shame anyone, because I've seen how that ruins lives. The girl is pretty, I'll give her that. She just needs to stop messing with Mariah's career and I wouldn't mention her name ever again.

I thought exactly the same. My first thought was, the outfit reminds me of Crustella. I love a casual style but the Stella influenced style doesn't look good on MC. On nobody. The jeans were screaming Stella all the way and like you said the nails. Because of my latest "obsession" to the "I still believe/Pure imagination" remix I watched the beautiful video. Mariah has never looked more beautiful, the dress, the hair. Just natural beauty and sensual in a classy way. In all clips from 99 Mariah's beauty is overwhelming. Never thought that Mariah would hire such a fake woman and allows to influence her. It's sad.
