Re: Mariah's new audio (70,996) (71,059) by B from USA
Both Mariah's team (made up entirely of Stella's family and friends) and DCP's team were to blame for the NYE debacle. I think Mariah handled it well all things considered. I also don't blame her for giving up when the album version of We Belong Together started playing.

Re: The significance of the voice mail (71,000) (71,058) by B from USA
I agree that the voicemail is a step in the right direction. I hope it is a sign that Mariah is about to take back control from Stella.

Why is Mariah being sued and by who? [Webmaster: Read the aricle here on MCArchives.]

Re: Voicemail (71,043) (71,056) by B from USA
Mimi, I agree. I think Stella and company were behind the NYE fiasco. When Mariah started asking questions Stella blamed DCP. Stella and Mariah need to take a break. Mariah needs to hire whoever is managing Barbra Streisand or Lionel Richie. She also needs to make amends with Cindy and beg her to be her publicist again. This debacle has only highlighted how out of her depth Stella is. She's a reality TV producer not a manager.

Make Stella go viral (71,054) by darrian liu from taiwan
Once she goes viral producers will come to her pitching reality TV shows. Then after she makes good money with those shows, she won't need to be on Mariah's payroll. Y'all gif-makers and meme makers, where ya at?

Sued (71,053) by Lila from United States
The Daily Mail is reporting that Mariah is about to be sued by Felix Entertainment Group Chile for loss of finances and image damage. It's apparently going to be filed in a Los Angeles court later this week. The Daily Mail can be shit but they don't really gain much by making things like this up, when they can go with something more stupid or salacious. Whether they actually go through with a lawsuit, there, at least, must be some smoke going on.

If they are saying that, I hope they say it more. The faster Stella gets her own reality show, the faster she'll leave Mariah. Also in the meantime Mariah will not appreciate someone else getting the spotlight so she'll fire her. Win win.

I meant Mimi moniker. It's probably auto-correct.

Re: Voicemail (71,040) (71,047) by Luke from United Kingdom
I actually thought the same thing. I didn't even think it was Mariah at first because it sounded nothing like her. I didn't bother saying anything because I just thought it was me being nit-picky lol. She must be able to seriously manipulate her voice to sound differently, because I could barely recognise her if that's how she normally speaks.

Tommy and MIAM (71,045) by Dennis from Miami, FL
I often wonder if Tommy listens to Mariah's resent albums. What it feels like for him to hear "I wish you well", "The Art of Letting Go" or "Languishing". It could be that these songs are not about few persons. Mariah is very careful with the word choices. For sure she uses special phrases only those involved would understand completely. Was he surprised by the Minister moniker, or he was one of those closest? He apologized to Mariah few times in his book about their marriage but he said nothing about anything that happened after the divorce. Like it never happened. I bet it was painful for him to see the Honey video. And even more painful to see MIAM not being promoted as it supposed to be.

Does Stella steal MW from Mariah (71,044) by Sheila from United States

Re: Voicemail (71,040) (71,043) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Is Andrew bear finally coming to the path he has been accusing me off for a while now? Which is "Stella is manipulating Mariah"? Anyways now that you mention it, it might be a clever tactic. Everyone and their mother has been flooding Stella's instagram calling her nasty words and all. So she might have seen posts here about how we miss her voice mail days and got Mariah to read off a scripted monologue. I also think that this whole "sabotage" thing was an idea Stella planted into Mariah's head to cover up how Stella messed up big time. It wouldn't be difficult to plant it in Mariah's head because post-Glitter, Mariah has always been super paranoid about people stealing her idea. She has said that someone stole her idea during MIAM and then as recently as this year, she said someone just stole her idea "2 months ago", if I'm not mistaken. So since Mariah always feels a little insecure, it wouldn't be hard for her to buy into this sabotage narrative.

Sometimes, the best advice (71,042) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Comes from old fans whom she alienated throughout her career. It's tacky copying from a comments section of some site, but in this case, the most basic, non-musical advice make sense:
"1. Stop drinking. 2. Stop eating everything within sight. 3. Practice to walk on those high heeled shoes, it looks ridiculous getting carried around at your age. 4. Just because you're famous doesn't mean you don't need to practice. 5. Stop dressing like you're 12. 6. And last but not least start taking responsibility for your actions." And if I were to add anything, it would be for her to fire her current team, but we all know that ain't happening soon, so: 7. Forget about explaining the incident further. Stop fanning the fire. Drop it - the whole world has moved on and so should you.

Mariah's World exposes frauds (71,041) by Sheila from United States
I realized last night that the James Packer marriage was a sham, she has no connection with this man or any "respect". She was behaving like a single woman. The Bryan deal is 110% not believeable, I still think he's undercover gay and they said a year ago Anthony Burrell was gay and everyone was like he has a daughter blah, blah blah - and guess what? He's gay. Mariah's world should have shown her singing at the piano and she had the chance to prove to the world she could still sing. And what happens? They dropped the ball. Again. They [...] the Elusive CD with Faded and [...], and now this. She has lost her way.

Voicemail (71,040) by Andrew from UK
Am I hearing something different from everyone else? Mariah sounds almost drugged and she is clearly reading aloud something that has been written down (potentially for her by someone else). I wouldn't be surprised if Stella was there moving her finger along the words with one hand and topping up Mariah's glass with the other, so desperate to make sure people know Mariah is with her and not against her she probably is. And taking a break from social media? Mariah doesn't even do her own social media so who cares? Even if she did, "I'm not sending tweets for a while" is hardly ground-breaking. And just drop the NYE thing, nobody cares anymore. What a lot of weird tosh.

Such a gracious person (71,039) by Terna from Nigeria
Aretha Franklin once (actually more than once) described Mariah Carey as a very gracious person, she always used that word when referring to Mariah in interviews. Listening to Mariah's voice message made me see that side she was talking about. Mariah's grounded, she has that inner peace, that calm very few people possess. And when you're like that you're unshakable. She's coming back swinging and heads will roll.

MW (71,036) by Lila from United States
I just watched on tv this time because, at this point, it doesn't even matter. The episode was so blah. I liked hearing the fans talk about their connection to Mariah's music, the short beginning where Mariah was hanging out with Roc, and the karaoke moment. Other than that though, the entire episode focused on Mariah being lifted by the dancers (not actual practices just being randomly lifted and swung around), hanging out with the dancers, Tanaka's made up crush on Mariah, and his hurt knee. That's it and I am so serious lol. I would like to include Josefin but we didn't even get to see her and Mariah interact and hang out. Mariah just said some stuff about their past history (that we all already know) and that was it. I know I said that the last episode was a demarcation of the show taking a nose dive but I really underestimated just how right I was and just how much of a nosedive it was going to be.

Re: Social media break (71,029) (71,034) by Licia from USA
Seriously though whatever is going on I hope she's just really taking a break to get away from all the bad press. I don't even want to think it's another Glitter situation. I refuse to believe that's what it has come to. I honestly don't think she's firing Stella. If she's reevaluating her team I doubt Stella is one of the people who's going. As always I wish her the best and I hope this hiatus gives her peace and clarity.

Re: Social media break (71,032) (71,033) by RibbonB from USA
Bless her heart, I do wish her, dem babies and Nick the best. And all the best to those around them who are genuinely trying to help the situation. I am glad her industry friends have been reaching out to her, that must mean the world to her. It was weird to see even Chelsea Handler tweeting something remotely positive to MC. I notice the Brat does not chime in when they have been discussing the debacle on Dish Nation. I wish she hadn't initially been encouraging this MW mess, but maybe she thought she was being a friend. IDK what is going to happen, but I have often thought there may be a little more revealed before MW ends. More than what they have leaked over the summer. I hope it doesn't end on just scandal and "mess".
