Re: MW episode 7 : Mimi L review (71,519) (71,522)

Well they can call the next season *gag*, Alternate Facts or Mariah's Alt Universe. Because you know the ratings have been "Stellar" and they will probably do another just for spite. Lol. Seems they've been posting the same teaser for weeks. I thought Nick was going to be on weeks ago on the portion of the episode that I caught. Tonight I caught The Young Pope. It is scripted and messy, but with some cultural context and good actors.

Preview for next episode (71,520)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
This is the preview for the next episode. A little more is shown after today's episode and when Bryan asks if M will marry "this guy", Mariah says "I don't even know anymore." Also they show scenes of M getting a piggy back ride from Tanaka on the beach and those cringe worthy beach scenes. Nick will be here next episode too so at least we'll have one normal scene.

MW episode 7 : Mimi L review (71,519)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
1) Mariah's Clash Magazine photoshoot behind the scenes. They are teasing Anthony by calling him the "king of opinions". Anthony says yes he is not a "yes man". 2) M is going through fan mail when Stella comes and asks why James left abruptly. M says she doesn't know and says she wishes she had more quality time to give James but she didn't (well to be honest, she would have had she told her entourage to go away for a while). 4) Tanaka can't continue for the rest of the tour because he needs to be on bed rest for 4 weeks. Stella talks about how she usually doesn't have feelings because she's "desensitized" but she feels bad for Tanaka. 5) Continuation of Mary Ann and Anthony drama. Stella who was previously throwing daggers for stares at Anthony for not wanting to share the bus with Mary Ann's kids is now team Anthony talking about how fights happen between family members and all. Stella's hypocrisy also shines through when she talks about it's not necessary they'll all have to like each other all the time, when she's the first one to fire people she doesn't get with. 6) Drama-naka talking about how he is confused about M and his feelings and their crazy connection. He is pretty upset and thinks he should go home (yes, finally a good decision but we all know that doesn't happen). 7) M is meeting fans, the guy who gave her the Barbie is also there. Stella comes and tells M that Tanaka is planning on leaving, that's when they decide to bring him on stage and straddle him. The whole scene is so cringe worthy, like girl, you were just trying on your wedding dress and now you are giving this dude a lap dance, especially after she's been told repeatedly that he has "feelings" for her. M says she doesn't want Tanaka to leave and Tanaka also decides to stay. 8) Mary Ann and Anthony talk things out, it was a cute moment, I'll admit. I understand now why Mary Ann overreacted at that moment. 9) They are on their way to have some weed cakes. So they're all pretty high. Bad acting of Mariah playing a "prank" on the dancer. Clearly the whole thing is an act. 10) They're in Cape Town. It's the birthday of the twins, I can already see Mishka drinking champagne. The twins are brought out on stage. Mariah sings ABMB for them, it's a cute scene. I love seeing these moments between M and the kids. They're always so cute. 11) Ok the last scene on the bus was too much, with Mariah falling all over Tanaka and dancing with Tanaka grabbing and groping at Mariah and kissing her arms and what not. That scene wasn't even necessary for the "docu-series".

There is a rumor that Mariah will preview/tease new music on the 8th and final episode of season 1 of MW. Liron apparently tweeted about it too.

Vítor Henrique, I was just messing with "Ribbon with a bow on it" in regard to his answer to your post. As you could see by his answer to me, he got that. And I expected that response, it was my intention to get a reaction just for fun.

Replying Edward is something I could. But I don't think I should. You know, we love everybody. Now then, let it be known that I knew what "on repeat" meant as well. I just didn't know why everyone was jabbering about "Charmbracelet" at length, neither why they were shooting the breeze alongside the words "on repeat". Thank you, Ribbon for kindly and readily answering me.

I absolutely love "Almost Home", it's probably in my top 15 Mariah songs. I seem to remember her saying in an interview that she either didn't like it or didn't fully connect with it or something? It's a shame, because it was quite a fresh sound for her, and a few of my non-Mariah fan friends have taken quite a liking to it. It has more mass appeal than her Mariah-by-numbers tracks, and it was a fresh sound for her. I'd love for her next album to have a few more poppy uptempos.

I love Almost Home, I was listening to that song again a couple weeks back after a while and thought wow this should have been number one. It stands out and I think she sounds amazing. One of her best songs

This interview is amazing. It's probably the most honest I have ever heard from her. Ever. It shows that: 5. Mariah really is a songwriter. You can tell it from her choice of words. 4. Mariah does care about what people say about her. Or at least the '90s version of herself did. 3. The diva persona is really a running joke that has progressed into, as we know now, a larger-than-life caricature that has taken on a life of its own. 2. To say that Mariah respects her influences is an understatement. 1. Mariah really knows her stuff. Seriously. The link to this interview should be reposted here every once in a while to remind us of how Mariah really is, as opposed to the shallow, self-absorbed cheating gold digger image our dear friend Stella has worked so hard to cultivate for her.

I always state my love for Almost Home in my previous post. At first, I thought the song was more "Celine" than MC. For me, it's similar with I'm Alive or One Heart. Of course the "Celine" elements started to fade with her whistles register. Like The One, Almost Home is in my permanent playlist.

This clip is so cool. It's impossible not to love Mariah after watching this. Anybody else think "Almost home" was great and should have been a hit? First time I thought too much autotune, but now I really love that song.

This interview is wonderful. Yes it shows how clever she is and I love how she talks. For me this is the real Mariah, the Mariah I love. That's one reason I can't watch MW. It's boring and my eyes hurt if I have to watch Stella and the empower clan. Lol.

Sister Wives is taken, it was number 3 in the same ratings list. They could try "Diva and Mud Duck Dynasty". I meant the urban dictionary definition of Mud Duck, FYI. Mudduck, adjective to describe an ugly female. Mud is for the make-up caked on, and duck because she's no swan.

The Social (Canada's version of The View) (71,503)
by Matty from Vancouver Canada

I'm just saying. Mimi should visit the ladies of The Social, they're cool, chill. I think they very accurately represent general Canadian views. Plus Canada generally supports MC (not nearly as much "hateration" press as in most countries I see posted (U.S and Uk for example), we're more on the Australian level), but it would be a fun and chill chat. Anyways [...] on this day in history, America. Stand up. I've been listing too Heavenly (No Ways Tired/Can't Give Up Now) for all of us.

Ribbon, those are impressive ratings. MW scored higher than "Hoarders" and "The Young Pope", but way lower than "The Real Housewives of Atlanta". I really think Contourella should come up with her own version of "Honey Boo Boo". A good title for a show with Contourella as the main character could be "Leechers" or maybe "I Love You Meme".
