It's not like she google herself and watches her own performances. I have often thought she needed to do something drastic but I think she is to proud and she won't do what's necessarily. She probably just want to have fun and lost her interest in her career. I'm not saying you should sing perfect every time. She just makes wrong decisions all the time. She needs a reality check. (71,322) by Liz Archer from Sweden I'm so disappointed by MC lately. It's like she won't grow up and take adult decisions. The stupid diamonds, her tv show which flu is more on her co-hosts and fake drama. If this really was a documentary as she claims this would be about her music, scenes with her singing on stage and so forth. Her diva behaviour with I'm eternally twelve and that stupid boy toy is making her unlikable. And you wonder why James broke up with you? You where all over him. I hate how he smiles towards the camera, it's like he loves the attention and it makes me question why he really is with Mariah. I wish she would find a guy that wasn't memorised by the fame and was ok to be in the shadows. At least such a guy would not take advantage of 5 min of fame. Sorry, ranting big time. Can we all just get real and all agree Mariah was a great singer/songwriter in the 90s, Stella is a c**t, she has been lipping for most of her career, her voice is f**ked, she doesn't care any more and that bride should get her money back. Oh yeah (and I never thought I would ever say this), Andrew seems to be one of the few who actually makes sense on this board. Like myself he is a fan, but is sorta kinda "keepin' it real" I'm glad I'm old enough to have seen the Daydream, Rainbow and Charmbracelet tours (I even enjoyed the Sweet Sweet Fantasy gig, for the nostalgia, but being front row shows all the discretions). My husband slagged off MC over the NYE incident and for the first time I didn't have the strength to cover for her, I simply told him I loved her as a singer songwriter but didn't like the person much. I will rather just continue watching/listening live performances of the "make-believe" Mariah of the Daydream era (or earlier) instead of the real Mariah of 2017 who can't even lipsynch for her life. Rotterdam Daydream vocals (71,317) by ktktkt from Philippines I have to listen to this after hearing her recent gig of the young Russian couple's wedding. Where did this vocal go? Perhaps, where did this woman go? This is her best sound and technique (effortless). I can't stop wondering (though it is crazy to think) that the real Mariah has been cryogenically frozen by some mad scientists and will slay in the year 2030 and the one that we're witnessing right now is just an impostor/fake. And yes, every karaoke singer is better than Mariah of 2017. I'm not gonna watch any of her "live" performance or appearance in YouTube until she drops a new album with incredible vocals. I know it will be overly produced but no amount of auto-tune or technology can "mask" a damaged voice. It hurts to hear and to know that the once mighty voice that she had ended up like this. Mariah Carey slayed, now they can't hear (71,309) (71,315) by Edward from USA Marissa, I once said I didn't want to see the day Mariah's voice would end up like Whitney's, but if she doesn't do something, that's where she's heading. It's really sad to watch such performances. It is even sadder that she charges much more money than she would get from a regular concert, and still doesn't deliver. I know that the people who live in "Nodules and Polyps Excuse" and "She Needs 20-day Vocal Rest" Lands would come with a thousand excuses, but this is not acceptable. I would ask for a refund. Oh, maybe it's the quality of the video, it was just recorded with a cellphone. Yeah right, how many times will we make the same excuses? When she has a production behind her she's able to pull these magical performances with all the smokes and mirrors, but things are coming to the light little by little. Will she ever address having irreparable voice issues? I doubt it, but I think it show she's just a human and people would be much more forgiving. Re: Article: Russian billionaire spends £2.5million hiring Mariah Carey (71,309) (71,314) by B from USA I think she's been drinking heavily since the NYE debacle and smoking weed (she was photographed entering and exiting a marijuana dispensary) and hasn't been working with a vocal coach and hasn't been implementing the not speaking for a day or two before performances. She slayed in Vegas and during her Christmas concerts which proves when she's focused and we'll rested she's still capable of delivering the goods. Unfortunately, instead of allowing Mariah to take a break from preforming Stella keeps booking gigs and Mariah keeps allowing it knowing she isn't ready, prepared, or able to perform to the standards she's always going to be held to. Mariah please stop drinking and smoking and start working with a vocal coach. If these horrible performances continue I'm not sure I'm going to want to see her this spring and I've already purchased my tickets and it wasn't to see Lionel. I love Mariah but if she didn't stop drinking and smoking she's never going to recover her voice fully. Did you know when you quit smoking your voice gains a octave or two? Rare gem: Mariah - Underneath the Stars (Drifti (71,312) by B from USA It's great to see this song getting some love outside of the Lambily. Mariah's singles also included several remixes. Everytime I hear someone say the only reason TGIFY reached #1 was because Lambs purchased multiple copies I'm shocked. That single reached #1 because of the remix featuring Joe and Nas. That remix is still played on the radio. Yes, the original is forgettable and bland but the remix is fire. (Monday 16 January 2017; 1:36)

Seriously, if no one knew her back catalogue and that she was once "Mariah Carey" people would think she was that tone-deaf aunt who got up on stage, always thought she could sing and never could. I can understand having an off moment but she didn't even sound like a professional singer on that stage. That looked like a slightly upscale talent show. I just don't get it. Are her vocals irreparably ruined or has she just been putting no effort into cutting out drinking and getting vocal rest? Listening to that wedding performance was tragic and humiliating. I truly don't believe that Mariah loves herself. She might be full of herself, but that doesn't mean that she actually loves herself. When you love yourself, you hold yourself to the standards of excellence and you take care of your God-given gifts. A person who loves themselves would never constantly subject themselves to so many cringeworthy and humiliating vocal disasters and then frolic off into the sunset bullshitting themselves into believing that it's okay. They always say that one of the signs of depression is giving up on self-care. Just because Mariah always steps out in full hair and makeup doesn't mean that she's taking care of herself. Self-care is about a lot more than making sure you look cute. The fact that she even does performances as bad as this wedding performance and can still look herself in the mirror (and probably won't do anything to improve for her next performance) is proof that she's given up. I never thought I'd see the day where Mariah, the "perfectionist" would be so comfortable having a track record of vocal f*** ups. (Monday 16 January 2017; 0:44)

I don't think that's necessarily bad, a lot of A-list celebs do that, plus this girl is Antonio Banderas's daughter. Or do you mean she should actually be on rest instead of over working herself? In that case I agree, she really needs to take some time off to rest. Or are you talking about her voice here? Those were definitely some bad vocal moments, especially "My All". I hope she is not ignoring her instrument. Her voice is a gift and she seems to have forgotten how she once talked about losing it because of smoking and how she prayed and prayed to get it back promising she'll give up smoking and then she got it back. Another example of Mariah's genius as an artist when she puts her focus and dedication into her craft. I will never doubt this woman's greatness no matter the missteps or scratching my head moments because through her art she has proven herself. She does have the capability to be as private as she wants to be, but the call was made and the Daily Mail is there to plant yet another story about M. and her assistants. But I am glad that her SM shut down includes no posts by the 13 year old or 13 year old's momma. If that was Mariah's call to do that, then it was a good one. I hope Mariah changes the passwords.
