Re: Like him or not (70,853) (70,863) by Special K from USA
I have a feeling Mimi might be listening a little bit. Hopefully someone like Russell Simmons or even Oprah (like Ribbon mentioned) is in Mariah's ear repeating some of the same things. Patti Labelle need to come get her goddaughter quick. What Tommy wrote was powerfully positive and he did put things into perspective about Mariah's career.

Re: Stella's backlash (70,840) (70,862) by Special K from USA
Naw she wouldn't say anything. If she did, no other artist would ever in life ever work with her in the industry. Artists fire management teams all of the time. It's the nature of the business.

Knock knock, having a blond moment? (70,861) by Edward from USA
Those who are talking shit about Tommy and his open letter are missing the point. What some of the "super-lambs" should consider is whether the advice is something you would agree with if it hadn't come from him. Focus on the advice, and not just on the parts you don't like about it just because it's coming from Tommy. Some of you decide to bypass the part where he speaks highly of Mariah. Tommy's advice is what we've been regurgitating for long time now, Marissa even put together well-intention petition that fell in deaf ears, but now we have a way to make this message heard and all you focus is who the [censored] advice is coming from? It's ridi-[censored]-diculous. If Tommy said Mariah should keep Stella, I would be the first one to oppose it, but he's just giving her a great and free advice. Even though they didn't work as a couple, he helped Mariah developed her brand to a point where she could fly away freely on her own. Many artists were dropped from the Sony roster so they could invest in Mariah, because he saw her potential, so let's not pretend the man is not partially responsible for her success. There are many talented, beautiful, gifted vocalists and lyricists out there, but they never got the muscle behind then to build their careers. It took an incredible talent like Mariah and a visionary like Tommy to turn Mariah into a mega star. So from a business perspective do not dismiss the voice of experience and wisdom. On a side note, even though Beyoncé is nowhere near as talented as Mariah, let's not pretend Mariah is more popular and relevant than her when the woman drops an album and within a week sells a million, her brand is almost impeccable, her videos are great and well produced. Yes, exactly the way Mariah used to be.

Madonna biopic too? (70,860) by RibbonB from USA
The tragic irony that a Madonna biopic is also in the works and produced by none other than James Packer and Ratpac. This is too rich. Mariah needs to take a break. Lol. I wish she and dem babies and hell even Nick would retreat, luxuriate in the Bahamas for a year. Clean house, clean slate, clean bill of health. Just sit out 2017. It'll never happen, but would do a body good, better than her getting that Kanye type 5150 rest.

Article: Tommy Mottola says ex-wife Mariah Carey needs help (70,859) by Betty from Canada
I have been a lamb since 1990 and absolutely adore MC always and forever, so while Tommy's comments may be reasonable from his point of view, I will always support MC's decisions as long as she is happy. Her professional success is not more important than her own personal happiness.

Re: Tommy defends Mariah and gives his 2 cents (70,841) (70,858) by Mike from FL, USA
I can't believe Stella is now trash talking Tommy. Calling him names when he is at least 50% responsible for Mariah's early successes is a bit flippant to say the least. I do think Stella has done some good - of course the bad does seem to outweigh most of the good - but I think it was so disrespectful calling Tommy names and attempting to put him down. The man knows what he is talking about.

Re: Article: Tommy Mottola says ex-wife Mariah Carey needs help (70,822) (70,857) by Shezz from Pk
Isn't this what most of us have been saying all this time? This was a very thinly veiled "Ditch Stella ASAP" call but now that Tommy is saying it, it's the truth. Mariah is a brand that clearly needs to be managed and when managed well she has proven to be highly successful. So yes these last 2 years are a result of terrible management by Stella and so Mariah's fault because she hired her. Problem is that she is now living in an impenetrable Bulochnikov world so there's no way anyone is getting through to her since she never ever leaves her side probably afraid that someone might take her Russian red tinted glasses off. I understand that Mariah loves her and her family and probably feels she needs them. I'm scared there's no way out. Funny how Wendy is calling Stella out as well and saying the only decent member of her team is Kristopher.

Re: Article: Tommy Mottola says ex-wife Mariah Carey needs help (70,830) (70,856) by Liz Archer from Sweden
You know, I hate to say this but, I totally agree some of what he is saying. To me it seems like she is dealing with very unprofessional or unqualified people (that doesn't know what they are doing). That, or she doesn't control every part of her business as an artist should do. I have often wondered why things are not promoted enough. You know, I have tons of innovated ideas that she could do to build up her fans again and creativity but I doubt she will listen. And frankly I am scared that she likes Stella too much and won't act accordingly. Stella is very unprofessional. You can't tell press or who ever you are working with to piss off. Her languish and the way she presents herself, speaks a lot of what is going wrong. To me it seems like she is good at yelling and sucking up, but not making sure to run a well oil machine. The mistakes that has been done under her watch speaks for itself. Yes, it is difficult to get good people. Sighs, just my rant.

Mariah biopic coming (70,855) by RibbonB from USA
Oh well, Stellar is announcing a new Mariah biopic and confirms three hallmark movies are still in the works. Not confirmed is whether there will be a season or two of Mariah's World. This is a great time for Mariah to drop Stella as her music manager and let her manage the movie aspect of things. She needs to pull the plug on this "traveling family" concept and take her personal life back and deal with her children. If the biopic comes to life, I hope it doesn't flop in the ratings. The 90's singer Michel'le had a successful movie for Lifetime this year, but the way Stellar has handled MW, I don't predict a wild success.

What happened to? (70,854) by Lara from Middle East
"Be nice or leave"? Isn't that one of Mariah's favorite sentences? Well none of Stella's replies have been nice so far.

I agree. I would never want or ask her to work with him again, but I'd like her to at least consider the advice he's given.

Too proud and stubborn (70,852) by Sasha from Nomansland
She's too proud and stubborn to listening to Tommy or anyone else advices. I think all we can do is to wait patiently for her to reach the bottom and only then she'd maybe wake up and get rid of Stella. Until then there's nothing to do, I'm afraid.

Vent moment: Mariah's World (70,851) by Lila from United States
I'll keep this short and sweet. I caught the episode, the whole thing was horrible, the Tanaka moments were disgusting and I mean literally disgusting (so so so so so so so lost as to why she's going out of her way to make it look like she was cheating on James). Pranking Molly was stupid. I'd feel bad for her but then I remember she's an actress. I said to myself, this is the fourth episode, we're halfway through, if there's no full performance shown, there most likely won't be any. Lo and behold nothing. We didn't even get a taste, like on episode three. The series was blah from the start but the fourth looks like a demarcation of it taking a tacky nose dive.

Re: Blind Gossip article (70,832) (70,850) by Lila from United States
Right. Lol. To even think it plausible for Mariah to do anything else but get the money first is to admit that she's just a plain dummy and anyone else for that matter. I think her self preservation skills will kick in. She has no problem finding her damsel in distress cape. In a way I feel sorry for Stella - okay no I don't. Still, every time the woman opens her mouth she proves that she's none too bright, has no tact, and no strategy. However, she seems to sincerely think that Mariah and her have a true bond and they're best friends lol. I see nothing of the sort, even after watching Mariah's World, there seems to be nothing about their dynamic that seems like true friends. Mariah keeps her around because she's willing to be Mariah's mean girl persona come to life, doesn't curve her behavior in any way, she's not alone, and it's a party 24/7. Mariah has been loyal to a lot of people but I don't think Stella is one. She'll be sacrificed with no problems if things turn ever get too bad. Now if I'm wrong, I never claimed I was a psychic lol, it's just a theory.

Tommy Mottola (70,849) by Tiina from Finland
Wow, I'm shocked he chimed in. This is getting good. Whatever happened in the past, this man knows what he is talking about. I agree with him 100% and it's also nice for him to speak about Mariah in such a respectful manner and to have her back. I doubt Mariah will listen though. But maybe she will.

Re: Blind Gossip article (70,811) (70,848) by Lila from United States
I can't believe how many fans are still stuck on that era. Mariah stopped doing promo during E=MC2 because she wanted to be with Nick. That was her decision. She was happy and in love, that became a priority, and good for her. Some of ya'll really can't bring yourselves to ever lay blame where it belongs: with Mariah. Nick never forced Mariah to do anything that she didn't want to do and he wasn't holding a gun to her head. You don't know anything about Mark Sudack that makes him any more "decent" than Nick or anyone else. Personally, though I wasn't a fly on the wall, a mouth inside Mariah's camp let some lambs know that things between Mariah and Mark were not peaches and cream by a long shot, they argued a lot, and things were not getting any better. Had they married it's very possible that it would have been an awful marriage. As rich and connected as his wife's dad is, it's possible that there's extra incentive to be wonderful to her. As for his current wife, he may love her but I don't doubt that there's extra incentive to walk the straight and narrow because her daddy is very wealthy and very connected. I also remember a while back, reading a fan's account of him being rude when he was interacting with Mariah fans. Also, Madonna did not use a "sperm donor" for her first child. She was with Lourdes' father for almost three and a half years and that man is in Lourdes life. Last year, the girl even got a tattoo of the words mom and dad on each hand.

Nothing but the truth (70,845) by Edward from USA
Whether people like it or not, he spoke the truth. As many of us have stated here before, Mariah shouldn't be managed by an amateur just to save some money. She might've saved pennies but now she's spending dollars. Mariah's management is at an all time low professionally, and she seems to think everything is OK. Once she referred to her best friend/manager Stella as an alpha female, I knew Stella wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon. So, it is safe to say that Mariah and Stella deserve each other. Mariah condones Stella's unprofessional behavior, since at the end of the day, and as Nick said, Mariah manages Mariah, she has the last word. Having a 13-year old managing her social media is also crazy, she should at least give Instagram to Stella's father to manage, and Twitter to Stella's mother. This docu-series is uninspired, messy and mediocre, also a flop. Instead of looking for fault or possible motives on Tommy's words, appreciate the fact that maybe even when she might hate it, his words could be read by her, because our efforts have been in total vain.

Re: New IG pic (70,842) (70,844) by Mara from United States
This really looks more and more like the Anna Nicole Smith/Howard K Stern story. Now we have the pics of Mariah going into the store herself non the less, why not have someone do it for you and the pics with glasses in hand or nearby. I really hope they are not pushing these substances on her. Sorry but damage control needs to be done now. Anyone know who Mariah PR people are now? Is that Stella and Co now too?

Re: Stella's backlash (70,840) (70,843) by Mara from United States
100% agree. This is the most toxic person Mariah has ever worked with as far as the press and how she represents herself. I'm sorry Stella, I'm just going by how you put yourself out there. I'm sure MC would be terrified as to what Stella could say. However, at the same time Stella giving all these unprofessional responses, perhaps people wouldn't believe her or feel she has her own things to gain. She may be doing us a favor by making herself look worse.

Re: Tommy defends Mariah and gives his 2 cents (70,814) (70,841) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Tommy has spoken, and I can only agree. As you said for a relationship he was not the man but for business a good partner. Anyway everthing he says is so true. And the reaction of Stella is embarrassing as usual. Mr. Mottola is no relict, he's a pro and Stella is a thirsty, trash-looking wannabe. Since she is hired Mariah becomes more and more a joke. Mariah did some image damage herself, but this horrible woman Stella is encouraging it and she will have "no problem" if the superstar is lying down. She already got everything she wanted. Money and attention. Please Mariah wake up.

Stella's backlash (70,840) by Lee from UK
If Mariah gets rid of Stella, can you imagine the backlash. Stella would have a field day in the press. Stella would not be a very good enemy to have. I imagine she knows quite a lot of things about Mariah that Mariah would not like the world to know. They have seemed pretty close over the past year.

Tommy M. (70,839) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Now who would have ever thought he would be showing any kind of respect or compassion for MC after all that has been said about himself by Mariah. As far as his statement goes I agree with him as I see that a majority of fans do, now his motives behind said statement is another story. Honestly Stella is showing her childish and juvenile behavior with all these clap backs and all this does is dig a deeper hole for Mariah and make her look bad. As far as the blind item I am going to say it maybe a possibility but I am sure like TMZ has reported everything else regarding this divorce that definitely would have been mentioned. But stranger things have happened. But again Happy New Year to all.
