Tommy (70,837) by George Golden from UK
Tommy is very correct on this one. I loved the way he gave credit to Mariah and called her the biggest star of the last three decades. Lets not get it twisted. He made Mariah. She should listen to him. He may have been hard on her but I think he always intended her to succeed. Stella putting Tommy on blast is just vile. Who is she by the way? Mariah wants yes people to tell her she looks amazing all the time and sounds amazing all the time. Stella will ruin Mariah if she does not let her go. Her thirteen year old controls Mariah social media. That should tell people the state that Mariah career is in. She needs help seriously. A total image overhaul. That overkill of near naked clothes are for performers not vocalists. Not saying she should dress like a nun, but it has to be classy. That bodysuit uniform is not a good look for her. She needs to stop and take stock of where she came from and what made her so successful. It wasn't her body.

Article: Tommy Mottola says ex-wife Mariah Carey needs help (70,835) by Mister Lux from USA
100% agree. Mariah, it's not too late, drop the diva baggage and this mafia manager and get back to being the real woman who re-sang her remixes because she had professional integrity. Sound difficulties or not, Mariah could have winged it if she had taken the attitude and ego down a notch. What happened to the go-getter who over-sang, despite the fact that we knew she could sing?

Tommy Mottola (70,834) by Terna from Nigeria
This man is obsessed with Mariah in a very disturbing way. Wasn't he the one who called L.A Reid during the Emancipation Of Mimi Era to find out the album's sales statistics? Then that book the world slept on, written to slight Mariah, and then the Beyoncé comments in 2013, when we all know Beyoncé ain't no Mariah Carey (never has and never will) because Mariah's still very relevant. It's all spite and it pains him that Mariah left him and succeeded without any input from him whatsoever, and now is considered the industry's best - the standard (all caps) and a living legend. Mariah is the best thing that happened to Tommy Mottola.

Re: NYE front row video (70,805) (70,833) by RibbonB from USA
It would have been epic if her dancers got into their sofa position and Mariah sat down and sang without the music and chatted very nonchalant about the technical difficulties. I do wish she would shut down Stella's chatter about it after the fact. Stella should have stopped the mess before she let her go on.

Re: Blind Gossip article (70,807) (70,832) by RibbonB from USA
And I don't believe there is any way that M would do that without first making sure that 30 million was first wired into her account, so she could transfer that into Nickey's account. Especially after the stories were planted that she begged Nick to sign the divorce papers, right before James dumped her. Anything less than getting the money first would have been stupid. Shoot, I would have kept the money in my own account for a few weeks and make Nickey wait a little longer so I could collect the interest/finders fee, lol. I think Stella's lies and tabloid story plants will implode on her soon. I am hoping anyway. I think Mariah's self preservation skills will kick in over her self-sabotaging habits.

So true, I hope Mariah has a think about what he says and see that Stella and gypsy clan are all using and making a mess of her name.

LA Reid (70,829) by RibbonB from USA
LA is really the only record executive who should be speaking up. Has he abandoned her, or does she not listen? He is a big disappointment for seemingly offering no guidance or solutions. Because Mariah is likely to listen to Wendy Williams or TM as she would to her children. Well she respects their fashion advice, so I wish they could weigh in on Crustella.

Relax about the wine (70,828) by Todd from Melbourne, Australia
It's not like it was an empty bottle of Jack Daniels propped up behind her. There are wine bottles in 98% of photos of me, and most people I know, taken from December 1st through January 31st. And besides. She's in Colorado. She's probably baked.

Tommy should shut it (70,826) by RibbonB from USA
He isn't saying anything that many on this board haven't said since this debacle started. I know I have been consistent about it and even Wendy Williams has nailed it since the start of the stunt. All this may do is send Mimi struggling deeper into Stellar's clutches. Tommy should be managing his wife Thalia's career. Now if someone like Oprah were to speak to her publicly or privately it may have an impact. But hey, it is 2017 and anything is possible. After last year, maybe she is ready to go deeper with the "devil".

Relic (70,825) by Edouard from France
Well yes, Stella is brutal. But she allows MC to say things without having to actually say them. Don't you think they are a team and Mariah greenlights everything she says to the press? Tommy Mottola is full of himself and it was another way to take advantage of MC (sell his book none cared about). He is no Clive Davis, not a class act. The only thing he should have said is that Mariah is amazing. Period. Attacking Mariah's World is exactly that: attacking Mariah one more time. Trying to destroy her promotion and discredit her while pretending to care. Mariah is no fool. I'm glad Stella put him at his place. I'm glad Mariah's not having it anymore.

Re: Tommy Mottola is correct, reunite. (70,815) (70,824) by Dennis from Miami, FL
100% agree. At least listen to his advice and get rid of the Bulochnikovs. Don't extend the contract. In an article about Tommy (mid 2000s) some music executive said that Tommy still holds the handle for Mariah. I have no doubt that he could bring her back to the top. I've alway had a feeling that the song Circles was inspired by the encounter with Tommy and Thaila in 2004. All of them look awkward on the pictures. It was really nice to see him saying that about Mariah after he named Beyonce the greatest singer of our time in 2013 radio interview.

The brand (70,823) by Danny from Uk
Mariah Carey, although hard to accept, is a brand. She's always been marketed that way from her beginnings with Tommy Mottola in sing sing mansion to the present day being toyed around with by a reality TV show producer and her sprogs. Not saying it's a bad thing it's given us a lot of moments this past year and many candid moments that the brand wouldn't have given us the times before. And on a side note I don't think her social media is managed well at all whether it's a 13 year old or two year old she needs that part of her brand sorted ASAP and who's her PR? Where's damage control? It's very sloppy.

Re: More Stella drama (70,816) (70,820) by Licia from USA
Yes what Tommy said was very respect to Mariah. Stella being the great intellectual person she is responded as we all knew she would. Lol. Although Tommy gave Mariah some sound advice, because of their personal history I fear that his words will only push Mariah further into the hands of her new team. She may not be willing to listen to anything that's being said because it comes from him. On the one hand I understand why she wouldn't listen to him because of the personal history, but on the other hand she should push that aside and think of how well her business was managed during that time and take heed to what he's saying.

New Instagram photo (70,819) by Gigi from USA
I'm trying to understand why the big bottle of alcohol behind her was needed in the picture? Especially with rumors swirling that she was either drunk or high during NYE and worse that she may be an alcoholic. Stella and Mishka photoshop everything else, why add fuel to the fire by keeping it?

Re: Finally, the culprit is found (70,796) (70,818) by Jimbob88 from UK
Honestly I don't think the backing singers were there at all, let alone backstage. Judging from MaryAnn's FB posts she was a thousand miles away. I think their vocal was entirely prerecorded. P.S was Rachel Mcintosh fired? Stella is an utter disaster. I'm still mad that Mariah agreed to that tacky reality series. It's really cheapened her legacy.

New IG pic (70,817) by Lila from United States
I'm sorry but I have to vent it: I see we're also starting 2017 off with awful, cringeworthy, side eye inducing pictures. Mariah may think she looks sexy but in reality that's a negative. She looks like someone's over the hill, trying too hard to be sexy, acts like she's 20 but a dumb 20, stay drunk out of her mind auntie. That may be harsh but it's exactly what Mariah in that picture reminds me of. She couldn't even bother to have the empty bottle of alcohol removed from the background. I'll say it again, she needs to leave her face alone. 2017 here we come, I guess.

More Stella drama (70,816) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Tommy Mottola gave a statement where he is very respectful to Mariah and her artistry and achievements but goes on to say she should be working with a more seasoned and respected team. He says what happened in NYE could have happened to anyone and has happened to many but it also could have been avoided if her team was more professional. He further talks about how he would have never steered her towards reality shows because that does nothing for her integrity and talent. He asked her to take some time and reconsider her team and all. Through and through the letter was respectful towards MC but has put her team on blast. So since Stella has been put on blast, guess what she does? This is Stella's statement "Really? Tommy is a relic. Did he give you that statement from a rotary phone?" This woman has zero control. Why does she keep responding to Page Six, and more importantly why even respond when Mariah isn't being attacked. She only gets heated up when she is put on blast. Here is a recent sit down with ET news where she talks about the sabotage. When asked "Why do you think they would sabotage her?", her response is "Are you kidding? Because it happened". Like Stella, they asked for a reason girl. Plus why is she even giving interviews? Where is Mariah? I understand if Mariah doesn't want to give interviews but then neither should Cru-Stella.

Tommy defends Mariah and gives his 2 cents (70,814) by Marissa from USA
So here's what MC's former oppressor had to say about the travesty: "MC is arguably the greatest pop voice to come along in the last three decades," Mottola wrote. "She has had more number one hits than any pop artist in history. She is a global icon and a treasure with incredible talent not only as a singer but as a great songwriter. What happened on NYE could've happened to anyone. Yes, her technical people should've helped pay more attention to all of it so that there was no chance of that happening." His opinion on her shitty team: "My only advice is that she should hire more seasoned and respected professionals to surround her and help her with her career. I would never have encouraged her or guided her to do something like a reality television show. I don't get it." Mottola wrote, adding, "That does absolutely nothing for her integrity, her credibility, or her massive talent. She should take a step back, think carefully and figure out what to do next. That is what she does best. Most certainly none of these issues or problems ever existed with her in her early days at Sony for the first 10 years when she skyrocketed to global superstardom. Where absolutely meticulous and methodical attention was paid to every single detail and nuance that went on into her career." I've said it once and I'll say it again. Tommy and Mariah were horrible for a relationship but perfect for business. His motives of releasing a comment are questionable and I do think this was his opportunity to demonstrate to Mariah that she finally needs him (or someone with a managing style like his), but overall I agree with everything he said. Here was Stella's response to his statement: "Really? Tommy is a relic. Did he give you that statement from a rotary phone?" Stella, if you're such a great manager, cite your accomplishments and experience (oops, you don't have any). Her high school clapbacks only prove his point.

James Corden (70,813) by Mara from United States
On another note, James Corden came back live after the holiday break and it was his first show since George Michael passed away(still can't believe I typed that) and he clearly was a huge GM fan and was upset by his passing. He brought up how GM was the original Carpool K before he had an American show and how he sent out the tape of George doing it to all the celebrities and everyone passed. It wasn't until Mariah Carey got the tape and responded "If its good enough for George, it's good enough for me." I can't tell you how much I love her for that response and I can totally hear her saying that. She was such a fan. We all know after her, all these other celebs came out to do it and had even the advantage over her since they all were able to tweak theirs since her appearance. But this just makes me wish all the more that she would do some sort of tribute to George. If anyone should, it should be her.
