Why not wearing them? They're cute (70,368) by Edward from USA
For those who see nothing wrong with wearing fur coats, take a look at this video from Peta. You might not think the same way after you see it. Since when did human beings become so inhumane? Those who wear fur coats create the demand for them hence they're as responsible for the cruelty these animals are put through as the those who skin them alive or just kill them inhumanely for that purpose.

I wouldn't wear one, but I do wear leather and eat steak.

Nothing wrong? Just check the living conditions of these animals and I guarantee you will never wear a fur coat for the rest of your life.

How well you know Mariah Carey (70,363) by herseydenvar from Turkey
This a fan quiz I have just found on a website. I think all Mariah fans must score 10/10.

I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing a fur or even a leather coat, but it is tacky to promote that on her site. Oh well.

Well, everything she stood for earlier, doesn't mean anything to her anymore. So disappointed. I don't think she has any connection to the real world these days. I wonder if she reads or look at the news, or is it all about alcohol and dressing like she works on the nearest corner?

I'm leaving MCA behind in 2016... shake it off (70,358) by radhames from Curacao
Today I came to this site after some days being absent, and I was reading the news. Then I said let me give the message board another try. Oh dear Lord, the first message was complaining that Mariah has made a reference of One More Try. Seriously? Isn't it appropriate for her to link a YouTube video or Spotify of the song she coved as paying tribute to her friend? And we all know she doesn't cover songs a lot. When the massacre took place in Orlando, they were complaining that she didn't wrote anything on social media. And now that she actually wrote something, now it's extra? That was the moment I made the decision to leave this community. The audacity they have to question all these marketing strategies lately. The woman is 46 and will not sell anymore like she used to do. Just check her last album. Nowadays if you're not Adele, you can't. Anyways, I want to thank everybody for the time I had here all these years, but it's truly time for me to move on and leave behind all these marketeers, The Voice judges, fashion police, life coach how to raise kids, etc. I will continue being a lamb using Twitter, Instagram and all the Facebook pages. At least there I communicate with real lambs. Oh yeah, the new MariahsWorld website, which I love. Like I've said before; either you join the boat or jump off from it. And by posting this message I've jumped, because I'm not in for all this 24/7 negativism. By the way, good luck hating on Stella and the new team. Because I personally think they will be there for quite some time. Happy New Year lambs. Oh last thing, Mr. Webmaster, you may delete my account if you need some space or something, I don't know. But I know I'm not an IT technician. We love everybody. Bye.

This is just a sign that Mariah clearly has no idea what's being posted all the time because everyone knows she supposedly doesn't like or wear real fur. I'm not sure she'd promote real fur, but then again times change. Lol.

Re: Fur coat? (70,355) (70,356) by Edward from USA
This is an excerpt from a Peta article titled "Me and Mariah" from November 9, 2006: "As with so many things these days, the whole chain of events was started off by a wealthy Russian oligarch. A big fan of Mariah’s work, he sent her a pair of ludicrously expensive fur coats in a misguided attempt to impress her. Mariah, understandably peeved about receiving dead animals in the mail from some sketchy Russian tycoon, immediately donated the coats to us." From that I inferred that she didn't promote nor wear fur coats, at least from that point on, but I was wrong, she still wears them. While Debbie Harry and Kim Cattrall donated all her fur coates to Peta on 2014, Mariah donated "some" of hers too, just some. So yes, she might have donated some of her coats, but it is evident she still wears them. I think it is sad because the way they skinned some of those animals alive is beyond disgusting. Maybe they should make a coat for her and those who use them from the skin of their beloved dogs, maybe they would stop. Let's see how the super fans defend this one. Maybe she wears them because she broke up with Packer and she's sad.

Fur coat? (70,355) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
Am I correct that Mariah promotes a fur coat? If so, I'm disgusted by her and I don't know if I can support her any longer.

Re: Test (70,343) (70,354) by Andrew from UK
I thought that Mariah had one last push in her, one final hurrah before the curtain call. But, with the arrival of this new website of hers, it is now incredibly bizarre and unthinkable to imagine that she is a person, an artist, at the top of their game who can sell and stream. She's nowhere near the top of her game. This current PR project is a great idea. For someone young and fresh and starting out. For an ageing diva it's the promotional equivalent of the stain that men walk out of the public bathrooms checking their crotch for. I think Martyn is probably right that the One More Try reference was a bit too much. Whilst it wasn't trying to sell the record, it was trying to sell Mariah through the record. Enough just to let the man go in peace and wish him well, methinks.

The twatterverse (70,353) by Andrew from UK
Twitter is amazing: it allows people to talk to the dead. Cynical I may be, but it is rather like using someone else's death for self-promotion, isn't it? And, am I so cynical to flinch every time someone says "my friend". Does it matter that everyone should know that you were friends? It would seem to matter only if you want your flagrant self-promotion to be more important than the other guy's. It's a staple of award shows: "And the award goes to - my friend - Vacuous Simpleton." Too many tweets make a twat.

Agreed. If I continue to get these idiotic lifestyle brand updates from Mariah's Facebook page, I will unlike her page as well. I'm not here for it.

Re: Mariah Carey remembers friend George Michael (70,344) (70,350) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Well said. I remember this interview. Yes Mariah had a poster of George when she was very young. It's so sweet, imagine young Mariah admiring George Michael. The music industry lost again one of the greatest. And there are only a few left. I wish they had made a single together. The voices would have harmonized so nice. That George liked Mariah's version of "One more try" is such a big compliment.

If Stella lurks in the darkness (70,349) by Todd from Melbourne, Australia
If Stella is a phantom messageboarder, here's a tip for you. I'm about to unlike Mariah on Facebook because of the daily posts linking back to the mindless "articles" that are being posted on the abhorrent www.Mariahsworld.com. I've been a diehard fan since 1995 - so who knows what the casual AIWFCIY fans are thinking.

Subtle Invitation (70,348) by 123 from USA
I've said it before that if Charmbracelet was sung in full voice, the album would be 10 times better. I love her singing the verses in Subtle Invitation live here in the Charmbracelet tour. If you keep watching the video it goes into her impromptu introduction of the band and vocalists, which reminded me when Trey was called "Big Nasty" when he was slim and trim. When they had his face blurred on the show I wondered out loud and someone told me, "Maybe he didn't want to be filmed because he was embarrased of his size and didn't want to be seen on TV that way." Not sure since he was filmed in her current videos but the struggle is real to keep your weight in check. Eating holiday chocolates as I type this.

Mariah or maybe it was Walter has said that they wanted the same Hammond B3 Organ that George used in One More Try for Can't Let Go.

The intro of the original One More Try is almost identical to that of Mariah's Can't Let Go.

Mariah Carey remembers friend George Michael (70,344) by B from USA
[What] Mariah won't soon forget is the single "One More Try" that served as a tribute to George's influence. Back in 2014, George thanked Mariah for recording the song which immediately touched her heart. "I'm so honored you like my rendition of 'One More Try'," Mariah wrote. "You and this song have always meant so much to me. Fan and friend for life." I love that Mariah shared this recent memory they shared and I don't understand the cynicism. She's not using George's death to promote MIAM. She barely promoted that album when it was released and how anyone can/could think sharing her most recent conversation with absurd. Didn't Mariah say in an early interview that she had his poster on her wall? She's always been a fan of his and one of his songs inspired one of her songs (it's the intro, can't remember which song).

Re: Test (70,325) (70,343) by B from USA
I hope not. I don't think Mariah's ready to give the game up yet. She's still writing new music. By doing the residency, world tour, and North American tour she's reconnecting with her fans and reminding them of why they love her. This strategy worked after Charmbracelet tanked. Mariah's next studio album is going to be vocally epic. I want Mariah to work with the writers and producers Bruno Mars, Frank Ocean, and Miguel write with.

Mariah (70,342) by B from USA
Mariah's varying perfumes were selling like hot cakes at the local Wal-Mart. I overheard tweens saying they love her. She just needs the right song to make another comeback.
