Thanks M, you are a sweetheart. I didn't want to make you feel bad because I know you took the time and work. By the way, they don't look fake, what program or app did you use to make them? I agree that Mariah doesn't have a specific style, but we can all agree that when we think of a mini skirt or low cut blouse Mariah comes instantly to mind, not counting the leopard haha, too obvious. I would actually like to see Mariah being dressed more by Elie Saab, those dresses are sexy but they still look very elegant and make the feminine figure stand out graciously rather than cheap. Lots of stars have wore them and they look great in those dresses.

Big Jim's collaborations with Mariah have always been highlights from their perspective albums. He is also doing a great job as her musical director in Vegas and on her tour.

I think her new album will be Rainbow-ish. MIAMTEC and Butterfly are about divorce and I think the new album like Rainbow will be about finding love again unexpectedly.

Don't hail Mariah (65,338)

Did the author consider that she might have had a legit reason for not being there? Maybe she had other commitments? No. The author assumed because she's a diva she was a no show. Besides if she was contractually obligated to be there she would have been.

You're Mine (Eternal) is one of my favorite songs from MIAMTEC. However, it was a poor choice for the second single. When was the last time an R&B ballad topped the charts?

I have not had a chance to search for the link, but I think they showed it during Mariah's NBC special with Matt Lauer, before MIAM was released. If I find I will give the link.

I love your edits. It is surprising how much younger she can look with a change of outfit. She'd look pretty fab wearing those too while strutting on stage. I gave you a follow too btw.

Next album (65,329)

When is she going to realize how gorgeous she sounds singing with just a guitar or piano? Mimi needs to record simpler acoustic songs with minimal layers. Her voice sounds so warm and earthy right now, I think a guitar will complement her voice amazingly.

Dahlin', Stella realizes that all too well. But the point is she doesn't know any better, probably doesn't even care to know better because her main aim is to reduce the unemployment in America by getting jobs for her entire family, which she has accomplished. The woman's knowledge on style and music is non-existent.

I respect your opinion May. I just want to see Mariah on another level of style that is new for her. And I don't think she have any style because for me her fashion is so random, it have ups and down and doesn't have consistency. But the one thing that she's known for is "ample cleavage" or "dem boobies" and that's it. I'm afraid this bras will be her signature style.

Thanks Marissa. I'm doing this just for fun and also for Stella to see it. Who knows she might wake up from reality and realize that the person she's handling and managing is a legend and not just some cheap starlet. Well like what you said, at least we can dream lol.

Faded is the standout rnb track that screams directly at Nick. Running all over the world and not being the man he swore he would be. Faded is huge to me. It's like Betcha Gon Know then Faded.

It's good to see MIAM getting love. I appreciate it for what it is but I still think Mariah could have put better songs on it. Especially with "You're mine", "Money" and "One more try". It would be so nice if she let us hear all those unreleased songs she recorded since 2012. I hope her next album is a masterpiece.

I completely disagree, I think you were overreacting calling them "awful". They're certainly much better than what Mariah has been serving us since 2014. All those ensembles with the exception of the last is age appropriate for Mariah. I don't know if you know Mariah's age dahling but she is 46. She's damn near pushing 50. I could definitely see her wearing the first three. The first one is very nice in my opinion, than the third. Mariah would look so classy in the third one. But no, she continues wearing Stella's hideous wear as well as exposing the twins on a daily basis. I hope she makes some good music though.

Hope for the next album's theme (65,320)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
I hope the next album is more uplifting and flirty/sexy. MIAM basically was the diary of a woman with a broken heart. That was probably one of the ways she healed herself, by pouring her heart in an album, letting her feelings out and getting done with it. Kind of like therapy. The whole vibe on MIAM was gloomy and dark and sad, something which reflects the phase she was going through at that time. So now that she seems to be in a better place (or so I hope), I hope the next album is more colorful, with different flavors, more uplifting songs, sexy numbers, some nice ballads and fingers crossed for a song that turns out into a women empowerment anthem with another major female artist. But I am probably pushing it with the last one. So yes, basically I would like a happier album overall, but I wouldn't mind a song which can serve like a BGK part 2 as well. That song was a gem.

The great thing about "How do you mend" and "If I were your woman" are that you know them immediately, so distinctive. M. and big Jim needed to put some distinctive qualities on Cry and Camouflage. But it's all good, her catalog is so nice that there is something for everyone, but everything is not for everyone. Lol.

Whoa sorry typos, I was on my tablet for that last response. I meant not watered down sap fests. And it's rough as in rough draft, not rough for its own sake. Too many typos. I love many Gladys Knight and Al Green classics and Cry doesn't compare. The song is just boring, but that's my take. Some classic painful goodbye songs that are timeless classics have beautiful memorable melodies and poignant sparse lyrics. My favorite examples are Bonnie Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me and Brenda Russell's Piano In The Dark. These are beautiful timeless haunting songs with great music, melodies and vocals. I can hardly remember Cry until I listen to it each time, that is not the marker of a good song, but the words are nice and sad.
