Hi guys hope you are all well. I very rarely message on here but visit to read the news and lambs' messages. I love Mariah so much like you all but lately... well last few months to the past year (well since Stella and co took over) I feel saddened when I see Mariah's image drop so dramatically to the point where I feel so embarrassed to even look at the pictures of her anywhere. I mean what has happened? Although she used to wear short dresses etc back in the day, there still used to be an air of grace and sexiness and her make-up was so toned downed and subtle and I just adore those 1997-2001 looks. I know we are in 2016 but since the emergence of Stella and co and looking at the way she behaves and dresses a la mutton dressed as lamb, I'm thinking that Stella's image is rubbing off on Mariah. Any thoughts my lovelies? I'm just so sad and I hate all these jump suit pieces. I want Butterfly tour looks. I know I'm forever stuck in the Butterfly era Mariah looked the best in my opinion. Her tribute to Pati Lebelle [sic] and her look there is how I want Mariah to go back to looking like. The hair colour is beautiful than this trashy blonde nonsense and I loved those deep curl moments. So natural. Oh I could go on but I am a sad lamb. Sorry.

You shouldn't worry about that. Britney and Madonna used to have much more serious situations in their careers. Public always likes a good comeback story. Mariah needs strong material and good promotion. There's nothing impossible.

Hi Licia. Yes I found clips on YT I searched SSFT Mexico 2016. I actually thought I replied to the Babydoll topic not the shadiest moment one. I seem to constantly mess up if I look at the board on my iPhone. Lol.

Expensive mess (68,223)
by IfWeeeeee from Over There

Her clothes are. Whoever is styling her probably worked at Hot Topic. In DJ Khaled's snaps, she was wearing a gold jacket, denim skirt and black fish net stocking. Blech. Also she needs to stop drinking - that's probably one of the reasons why her voice is so nasal and fragile. She needs discipline in her career.

In her defense though many fans and the media complained about her always wearing ballgowns and dresses for her shows. I applaud her for trying something a little new although I'm not happy with the choices. Lol I prefer her fun outfits like I've seen on tours like Rainbow. The themes were better as well. It was more than just a job. She looked like she was just having fun.

Mariah's voice (68,220)
by Danny from Uk
| |

Everyone wishes they could sing like Mariah. Even on a bad day it's such an interesting voice it should be studied in schools world wide. It's imperfect which makes it in my opinion all the more awe inspiring. The Lord gently crafted each one of her chords with love and care like he did with us in his image, what we do with it is our choice.

As usual, thank you so much for posting. I love it when she sings songs we don't get to hear very often. Plus, it's from the Butterfly album. I'd love to hear The Roof or Close My Eyes in concert again. I just watched a video of clips from Mexico and I thought she sounded good.

Thanks. I would love her to come up with a dramatic, emotive, well orchestrated jam for Mr. Bond. It could happen. I still listen to Gladys Knight's Bond song "Licence to Kill", so underrated, but IMO one of the best Bond songs. I love that Mariah said the Gladys' voice is a "textbook for singers to learn from". The young queen paying homage to the Empress.

I haven't seen any posts about this but last night in WWHL, Andy Cohen had a poll on which diva can be president, the listed which included Mariah, Beyonce, Britney, JLo and Madonna. I think there's another one. If it's any indication of her popularity now, Mariah got the lowest which was 2%. Britney had a 30 something percent. I dunno what I would feel about this.

I'm so ready for her to look immaculate and timeless like she did at her Hallmark Christmas special. When she's that classy she just oozes beauty that she simply cannot match in the racier numbers. Please Santa bring me my Christmas wish.

I hate these leotards. Looks like a swimsuit, something for the beach. But her dresses are so beautiful. The longer, the short ones in any color. They look wonderful on Mariah.

Ugh Mariah's wigs look so cheap and fake. Seriously she should just ask the Kardashians for their wig expert. They have impeccable wigs that look so real, I can never tell which is which. And yes I saw Mishka is the new "intern" in Mariah's fashion department. Waiting for her to be the new accountant and lawyer and publicist in the next 6 months. While Sasha gets upgraded to social media manager. Stella basically is going to make an example of herself of being the trashiest and most ridiculous manager for an A list star.

Haha Marilyn would never be caught in a dress like that. The woman was a classy sex symbol, who almost had this child like innocence about her. She was a strange (but good) mix of innocence and bombshell beauty.

That's a great question. Mariah really does have some nice pieces in her closet. Why she doesn't utilize them, I have no clue. I would also prefer her to lose the leotards and just wear some gorgeous dresses. I really love a lot of Mariah's gown moments.

Patti and Mimi (68,207)
by Mirage_Nunez from America

I agree with Edward, I've never felt that having a louder voice makes you a better vocalist. For me it's all about the way you use your voice and the effectiveness or how you emote lyrics. Mariah is the master of that to me. Just because someone can drown you out while singing doesn't mean they sound better either. Mariah has so many beautiful delicate and powerful features to her voice and at her best she knows exactly how properly place, highlight and phrase a song to sheer perfection like no other. Then there's Mariah's artistry that's just unmatched. Now we love godmother Patti don't get it twisted; she is a beast live on stage, but I'm just saying if we're going to go there and compare let's not do Mariah.

Mariah's life (68,204)
by Mirage_Nunez from America
| |
|
|
Mariah's world has always been a chaotic circus since childhood. She has always alluded to it in her music. "I've always longed for individedness and sort stability", "Life was a windin road and I've learn many things little ones shouldn't know" etc. Also her life has never quite been "conventional". She would always be up all night with her mom and her musician friends, much like Stella's children are doing now. Even her marriages have been unconventional in a lot of ways. That's just the way Mariah is and the way she was built to function in chaos. This does not make her a bad person or a terrible mother (as some have implied). I'm sure she has the best private teachers/tutors for Roc and Roe (as she had mentioned in an recent interview) and they seem to be very smart, well behaved, and balanced.
