New album (58,502)

I really hope Mariah is planning something big with her next album. Strong singles with good videos with maybe a few surprise collaborations.

Lacey Chabert gushes on working with Mariah Carey (58,501)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|
|
Awww, Lacey is a total sweetheart and she's got the art of effortless plugging down to a science on The Real. The amount of information she packed in to a 0:57 second clip is astounding: Mariah (whom she's a big fan of) serenaded her on her birthday when she got the part on A Christmas Melody which premieres this Saturday December 19th on Hallmark directly followed by Mariah's merriest Christmas. And she looks fabulous doing it.

O Holy Night (58,498)
by Lee TS from USA

I think this has to be the best performance thus far. I thought the first couple nights were kind of shaky but this one is a definite stone groove. You hear her lovely lower tones and she sounds strong.

Buying a ticket (58,496)
by Luke from United Kingdom
| |
|
|
I'm considering buying one and going on my own purely because I don't know how much longer she'll be touring and I don't want to miss a chance. I could ask people in my family to come but they've only really liked her older stuff and I feel it might not be enjoyable for them when she sings her other songs. Has anyone been on their own? What is it like?

Re: Mariah's European tour (58,424) (58,494)
by Andrew from UK

I missed this post. But, Rene, I am glad you are thinking of me during the festive season. I shall remember to consider thinking of you more often. If it was a genuine question, and not Travis-like [censored] comment, then the answer is: I don't know. I went to the UK Rainbow and Charmbracelet tours. And went to a UK chat show with her on it. And camped outside her hotel several times. And actually got taken from queuing to get a CD signed on Oxford Street in an ambulance and admitted to hospital with meningitis (I stayed until I could stand no more). My criticisms of Mariah's performances over the past few years undiminished I would not not want to go to a UK tour. That being said, I'm not particularly excited (I was for Charmbracelet and it was terrible). I'm worried it will be the same songs as per every show she has ever done, with poor staging, and over-heavy on lip-sync, with duh duh duh "smoke and mirrors". However, it may just be a surprise, as Edward reports from The Beacon, and, perhaps, I may find what I have been missing for the past 2 to 3 years. Regardless, my Australian friend is bouncing off the walls and I may be attacked with a well-aimed didgeridoo if I don't get tickets.

Re: Mariah Carey's opening a $20million museum (58,489) (58,492)
by Jared from USA

Well, Baby from Dreamville, that's one interpretation. Coming from Dreamville, I'd take it with a big chunk of pink rock salt. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if anything of this sort comes to fruition. The persistent rumors that Mariah and her people have been working on getting a Christmas movie made turned out to be true although it ended up being a Hallmark movie instead of a HBO movie. All I know is, at the ripe old age of 30 years, I may not be the concert-going kind of Mariah fan, after all. I've seen her on her Charmbracelet tour, on her Adventures tour, at her Beacon Theatre taping for VH1 Save the Music when she did the duet with John Legend, and various other tapings and appearances in the NY Metro Area, but in your book, I'm one of those haters. I'm ready to call it quits as far as going to Mariah church and worshipping our idol. I'm not forking over hundreds of dollars for one seat if I am going to be surrounded by screaming lunatics who can't even figure out that taking a seat might help everyone in the venue to enjoy and appreciate the show more. That's all. I'm absolutely certain that Mariah will be around a loooong time in some form and I'll be able to enjoy her on TV and in the movies where people are still allowed to enjoy the show from their seats, and those pesky camera-wielding attention seekers can still be asked to put the damned gadgets away so other paying customers can enjoy the show.

Well I actually didn't even read the article because the headline alone sounds made up. Lol. But the idea of a Mariah museum is cool to me. I can't apologize for that. My comment was more on the basis of the idea itself.

Mariah Carey's opening a $20million museum (58,489)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|

Who's the idiot hater who concocted this Mariah Carey traveling museum story? It's obviously written to mock her very successful tours/residencies that are now for sure gonna be a big part of 2016. You guys need to learn how to read between the lines. Every word is strategically placed to make fun of Mariah on an almost (no, strike that) definitely on a personal level. This is some moron's idea of being clever. Whatever [censored], Mariah is unstoppable now that she has a genuinely happy personal life and fulfilment creatively. Team Mariah is on fire slaying dragons and saving lives. That's why reading antagonistic articles like this and [censored] posters don't really bother me. It's just proof MC is hotter than ever. Mariah just made my day, my year and my life with the Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour, coming to a continent, country and city near me. Can you all [censored] please refrain from nabbing the best seats? She's gonna be lipsynching the whole concert anyway, so why come at all? Don't waste your money, be smart, stay at home and invest in cochlear implants instead. Besides, it's much easier to keep complaining about Mariah's voice and music when you just watch 16 seconds Instagram clips. Mariah will understand and the Lambily will for sure appreciate it.

I would love if Mariah would sing Hero with just a piano playing like she did at Tokyo done during the Daydream tour. Like she showed us the last [...] shows at Beacon concert she still can sing Hero with that light airy voice, like she did back during 96. If she could practice those belts I think she could gives us a performance at least 90% of what that one was.

Mariah tickets- bucket list (58,483)
by Anonymous from

Well guys, I never thought the day would ever come that I get to meet Mariah Carey but low and behold I've managed to purchase some Meet and Greet tickets for the 02 Arena. I'm ecstatic. Am I crazy, well yes I am but the last time I got to see her perform was when I was 18 years old in 2003. I'm now thirty and was adamant that I wouldn't miss an opportunity of seeing her again, especially as she finally returns to the UK. Meeting Mariah was on my bucket list and I can not wait to tick it off. I've told my partner that I waiver all gifts for birthday and Christmas for the next 5 years and beyond. You only live once. I'm sharing this because only you guys would get it. Much love and congrats to all the lucky fans finally getting to see Mariah. Hold on in there fans to those that haven't seen her yet, it took 13 years for her to return to the UK, who knows with your country. My Christmas has now officially started, let the countdown begin.

Not the greatest sound in the Beacon balcony, but I thought I'd share my audio from the show I went to this time (12/14). I love when she talks to the crowd and sings during the band intro because it's Christmas time in the city, in the city.

Save for waiting for someone to rip off a wig somewhere [censored]: that was really great. For the European tour she may want to finally lower the keys to her songs. It would sound so much better, I'm not sure anybody would think negatively of it.
