Rumors (54,306) by B from USA
I don't believe any of these rumors. I don't see Mariah's big brother saying those things about her. If he did say those things to her he would have said it privately. He isn't stupid, he saw quickly Mariah cut Alison off after her tabloid interviews. Mariah supports most of her family and that's a fact. She tried to help Alison numerous times and each and every time it backfired on her. She is a private person who lives a bubble for a reason. She really can't trust anyone. Even when she was married to Nick, who knew how private she was before they married, she spoke openly about their marriage and incorporated it into his comedy shtick. I still don't understand why people defend him. He used her and he humiliated her. Yes, he's the father of her children but that doesn't mean she has to do a tell a interview but she can make subtle references to him in her lyrics. This isn't a setback for Mariah. It actually makes her more sympathetic.

Mariah, bipolar disorder, let's talk (54,304) by Tiina from Finland
I highly doubt she's bipolar or suffering from any serious mental illness. She may suffer of insomnia but has never shown signs of extreme mood swings or psychotic symptoms, at least not in public. If she's bipolar, however, then it's the both of us. I'm bipolar or manic-depressive (I think it's more descriptive) type 1 with severe manic/depressive episodes, and to top it all off, have psychotic traits (paranoia, voices, hallucinating, the whole deal) among other symptoms, like chronic insomnia. I was diagnosed at 16 and I'm on an antipsychotic mood stabilizing medication 24/7. There. I thought about mentioning it in my previous posts on her alleged medication use as I've been on Zyprexa when I suffered my first severe psychotic episode during a manic phase and was hospitalized for the first time, which was a nightmare and I hated taking that numbing drug but then I thought that maybe it's for the better to not go there. It's not about me. And people judge. But after having read all your comments specifically on this illness, it's not bad at all, in fact I get the sense that most of you are understanding of it and of mental health issues in general which is fantastic. People often tell me that by looking at me and talking to me, they would've never guessed I was severely mentally ill and it's like that with most of us. I've been in a mental hospital locked up in a room with bars on the windows but it's not like I'm foaming at the mouth or crazy looking or anything like that. It was a very difficult journey (during which I found much solace in Mariah's music, her songs gave me faith and helped me to cope, which I will always love her for, I'm forever in debt to her) but I'm doing great today and I'm a stronger person for having overcome these challenges. The illness is under my control. Today I experience very few to no symptoms. The medical term for it is remission. I've been successful because I'm pro-medication (it's true that many of us are afraid of meds and yes, there are downsides to them but meds are absolutely vital in treating the illness as what this is is basically a chemical imbalance of the brain). I've also transformed my lifestyle. I don't touch alcohol (I never have actually, having personally known too many alcoholics). In fact I've always been against all drugs, even cigarettes. None of that has ever interested me and I don't socialize with people who do drugs. Many bipolar people have substance abuse issues. I'm quite the rarity. I even keep away from artifical stimulants, like soft drinks as they aggravate the brain. Rest is key and so is working on a positive mental attitude. I've also become vegan in the process. Basically I do everything that I can to think and live health and to strive for balance. They should stop glamorizing the illness. It doesn't make you more artistic or more cool. It's not a rock star accesory, it's a real illness, and untreated, makes you very sick and can drive you to suicide. It's no joke.

Morgan Carey (54,303) by LC from USA
Shawn definitely has his aunt's back. Just a few hours ago, he continued defending her on Twitter saying "Literally no one I'm my family has spent 25% the amount of time I have with her for the last 20 years. He's seen her 3 times in the last 7 years. Go listen to the 2nd and 3rd verses of I Wish You Well. I'm not allowed to say who they're about, but I personally know 3 of them. And that's not looking back, that's at the time." I'm so glad that he's helping to clear all of this up. Clearly, Mariah knows what Morgan has been saying and the effect his words have had on her fans, so I'm happy that she is clearing it up, though indirectly. I hope this is enough proof for all of the lambs to drop the topic because it was clearly just a sorry bid for money by a man who used to know her.

Congratulations Mariah! (54,302) by LC from USA
I don't know if this has been posted yet, but did you guys know that Mariah's #1 To Infinity show is in the top 10 of the highest grossing concerts/tours for the month of May, according to Billboard? In fact, at number 8, she also has the highest grossing show for a female artist this whole month, with over $4.5 million made from just 8 shows. You can see for yourself here. This is amazing. I'm so proud of her. At least, amidst the drama of her life, there's still so much positivity. Congratulations to MC and to all the lambs that had the opportunity to see her.

The thing about "buzz" singles is (54,301) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Does it really matter? Do people really care? I remember in the 90s to mid-00s, the term buzz/promotional single really meant what it implies. Nothing official. Just to create hype. These days, it has turned into more of an excuse. An intended single fails to make an impact or performs below expectations - it's relegated to buzz single status to somehow save its artist and record label from being branded a flop. So in this day and age where someone as big as Beyoncé had to release a string of failed songs before deciding she'd surprise drop an entire album, or someone as young as Rihanna has already released 3 singles and 2 videos to promote her eighth album but to no avail, I think Mariah's doing better than expected in this brutally ageist industry, especially for a legacy artist. I mean how many other 90's artists can say they've charted thrice on the Hot 100 in the past 2 years? She can fare better, but if she doesn't then she still has it better than most of them.

Mariah impersonations (54,300) by Tevin from USA
Did anyone see 5H do Mariah impersonations on some tv show. They really love Mariah, I wish more people from this generation showed Mariah more appreciation. Young guys should YouTube the video and tell me what you think. Also is Mariah's One World Trade Center performance online or also her Walmart one?

(54,299) by Warrior Butterfly from USA
After weeks of waiting I finally have my very own CK# 45202 Mariah Carey debut tri-fold card sleeve with fold-out poster album. I'm so happy. I have wanted one forever since I heard it existed, it's like a MC urban legend of sorts, the debut album that does not have Love Takes Time on the packaging but is on the CD. I believe it's "CD from the USA (2383)" in Eric's collection page. Thought I'd share my joy much love lambily.

Paris (54,298) by Darryle from USA
Mariah looked radiant in Paris today. Her look was sexy and classy. The hat was cute as well. She's really stepped up her style this era.

I totally agree with you. There should be no shaming to it. Illnesses can be treated. Sending love and positive energy your way Shelly.

Mental illness (54,295) by Dove from USA
She does look great in Paris, thanks for posting that video, it made me smile. Her smile is so genuine and contagious. If Shawn is saying she's okay, I'm going to choose to believe him. She appears to be doing better than fine. But, just to speak on behalf of alcoholics or people with mental-illness: bipolar is not crazy. I don't think people should be made to feel like it's a shameful thing because it's not something you choose and neither is alcoholism. There is treatment and things can get better. I'm not ashamed to admit that I became depressed in 2014 and started taking antidepressants. They helped, I'm still taking them, and my quality of life is worlds better. I had a professor who was schizophrenic and medication improved her quality of life, too. Most people have some issue they deal with, nobody's life is perfect.

MC in Paris (54,294) by Ardis Logic from Earth
As they say, "The best revenge, is living well." MC sure is showing that today in Paris. It's great to see that beautiful smile. I'm sure this whole "Morgan" thing is nothing new to her. She knows who she is dealing with. He just decided to show what an ass he is to the world for a small stash of money. Lame.

Is about flakey Morgan, shame how family will sell you ass out quickly. This woman can't even trust her family.

To Mimi L (54,291) by Otti from Belgium
I love your last post, I was thinking the same. Mariah is a hard working women. 18 number ones, more than 250 millions sold, touring the world. I love her promo tour lately, it's nice to see her to promote her work. The voice is getting better with every performance. It's sad that your own brother turns on you. But why now, is beyond know. But like Mariah once said, you can't have it all, being succesful and happy at the same time. It's the price she's going to pay, sadly. I hope she comes out strong.

Paris chic (54,290) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah is in Paris, looking hot tamale. Very TEOM meets Obsessed look going on. Her figure is on point, them boobies are covered up, the billion dollar legs are out in the open, perfection. She is wearing a pair of gorgeous heels, a tight black mini dress, with a hat casually thrown in. This woman, true legend, true diva, massive babe. This woman is my inspiration, smiling away at the haters. Mariah, you keep on shining girl. In case you all are interested, here is a video. Let's move past the negativity and stand by the woman who has connected us all together from different parts of the world.

Morgan sayings, Walmart (54,289) by Fulvio from Belgium
Forget about Morgan. Can we just give it a rest and applaude MC for literally improving her live performances. Feels good to see and hear her back on track.

Rumors (54,288) by Marissa from USA
I do not believe that Mariah's bipolar, a drug addict, alcoholic or any of the other latest accusations. Like some of you have said, these things would have been almost impossible to hide from the world. There's no way that someone who's on the verge of "dying like Whitney Houston" could have gone this long without being put on blast by the media, especially since the media doesn't seem to be particularly fond of MC to begin with.

Shawn (54,287) by Jenny from South Africa
Her nephew has tweeted more about the Morgan drama if anyone wants to check out his twitter page. I'm so glad Mariah has Shawn in her corner standing up for her. Most people just want to sell her out or throw her under the bus so it makes a welcome change. He said Morgan has only seen her 3 times in the last 7 years. He also implied that I Wish You Well was partly written about Morgan.

Mariah is a strong woman (54,285) by Ardis Logic from Earth
And she can still find peace and love deep within herself, among all the drama and heartbreak. Many people have issues with their so called "family" members. The family unit has been totally destroyed for most people. If you have "real family" in your life, who show you "true" and "real love" you are very lucky. I am glad that she does have those beautiful babies of hers. Their love is so pure and real and that should bring her a lot of joy. She is a very strong and amazing person. As long as she keeps herself as positive as possible, and tries to move forward instead of looking back, she will be just fine. Her fans who truly love her will always be here no matter what, even if she decides that she needs a break. I would totally respect her for stepping out of the lime light for a while, and focusing on herself and her children. That is probably the best thing for her at this moment.

What do we think happened? (54,284) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
What do we think causes Mariah and Morgan to have a falling out? They were so close for a long long time. Can someone with lots of insight give me a history of Morgan and Alison, as people? (What are they like as individuals, and why is there so much angst between these siblings?) I find it so interesting that they've given such inflammatory interviews about Mariah, but they never seem to gain traction in the media, despite the media going in hard on MC sometimes, like 2014, 2011, 2009, 2001/2, 1998. You'd think the media would eat it up.

Crowded rooms, so alone (54,283) by Randy from USA
If anything, this whole Morgan debacle shows that MC is truly alone. Look at her brother and sister. Her and her mother don't seem that close. Her husband is gone and all that's left is her kids. I feel bad about her family situation. And you can't make fans and backup singers your family. They'll turn on you quicker than family. I feel bad for her.

Let's be real (54,282) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I do believe Mariah does suffer from some personality disorder but I doubt it's bipolar so who cares? As a woman myself living a disorder and not at all ashamed. In my eyes, she should have owned this a long time ago instead of that story about exhaustion in 2001. In my eyes it would have made her more likable and more importantly relatable. I've been very vocal all along that I believe Mariah does suffer from something. Now, the drinking, I'm not going to discuss that. From looking in from the outside, I've always said Mariah loves her splashes. But do I think Morgan made it bigger and more deadlier than it is? Hell yeah. Something happened and let she clear, If Mariah does need help shame on him and his wife then to do this pubicly like this. You don't do this. This is the kind of thing that pushes people more and more to their vices and more depressed and more in their "bubble". The media and the public at large doesn't give a damn about these celebrities all they care about is moving magazines and for him to do this is low and sick. There's just no coming back from this. Which is sad, because we all know once Mariah cuts you off honey, it's a wrap for good.

Mariah Carey live at Walmart shareholders (54,281) by Liz Archer from Sweden
Its been so long. I loved that she sang "Always be my baby". It was such a favourite song for a long time. She sounded very good throughout, small hick-ups but general very nice. And of course Butterfly.

Yep. I'm really proud of MC and feeling happy reading that interview where she said that she's trying to leave wine and champagne. I can see that she is changing some aspects in her life for good. Good for her. Wish the best for her.
