I don't post a lot but I enjoy reading the posts more than the news articles. Anyway I digress. Mariah is a queen and a queen needs her people. We need a worldwide grassroots movement. This message board would be a great tool if we could come up with a way to start a fan club and try to help market our girl. We all have things we love Mimi for and yes in her 25 year career there have been some cringe worthy moments but Mariah has given far more in return. We should rally together and build up a base that is loyal enough to buy downloads, request air play, stream videos, ect. It's a numbers game and even if the song isn't our fave at the time we still commit to its success. It's about the big picture and helping our queen keep her throne. In return we keep MC's art alive and relevant. Even the past two years when you think about Almost Home, #Beautiful, Faded, my fave YM(E) just to name a few. Mariah is the gift that keeps on giving. I thought the BET Honors performance was iconic and the opening to #B at the BET Awards was magical. We all have a critic inside and no one is perfect but our girl is only human and I for one take the good with the bad. If she succeeds then we succeed because there are not a lot of celebrities loyal to their fans like Mariah. I still have a lot of life to live and I can't imagine it without my Mimi in the spotlight. Ty (54,147) by Abraham from USA How dare you. "Forever" is a nice song. It's catchy. "Say something" is a great up tempo track and my favorite from "TEOM". You tripping. "Babydoll" is a nice r&b number. Mariah's voice is so smooth and buttery. To me it was number one material. I happen to like "How much". And "Now that I know" is great. She actually did it better than in 1996, even better than the album version. I can't wait for her new album, it's gonna slay. She is going to dominate. She is back to her old 1995 self. It was probably therapeutic for Mariah to write and record, I don't think they released it expecting to be Mariah's next hit or #1. TAOLG and Triumphant were buzz singles. This week in history (54,141) by B from USA On 04-06-2014 Me. I Am Mariah debuted at #1 on Billboard's R&B Albums chart. Lead single #Beautiful sold a million copies and peaked at #15 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. You're Mine (Eternal) was a modest hit on Billboard's R&B Songs chart. Her album sold 100,000 copies in one of the worst years the industry has faced. Her career isn't in that bad of shape. She can easily rebound from these minor setbacks. #1 To Infinity was released to promote her residency. LA wouldn't have signed her if he really thought her days making hits are over. What would be the point? These rereleases aren't going to sell. Hopefully, it's part of a large attempt at turning Mariah image around. She always delivers when she's the underdog and she's been written off. It's like hearing those things motivates her and puts her in creative mode. Slay, Mariah. As for the Morgan situation I seriously hope its untrue on every level, because if so it would completely damage their relationship permanently I'm certain. If you're really concerned for your little sister, just pick up the damn phone or fly your ass to Vegas and have a heart to heart, but airing "alleged" dirty laundry is doing more harm than good. Morgan's story on Daily Mail (54,130) by ADAM from USA Why can't people realize when sources go to the tabloids or social media to air a grievance or concern about Mariah that's it's probably done as a last result because of all their attempts to reach out to her personally have been denied. I believe Morgan's account of what Mariah is going through. It was too specific and he's always been inside her entourage since the early days of her success. I always suspected she has a drinking problem at the least and suffers from depression. It's more than coincidence her "problems" arised when her voice started to fail her and her trickery started with lip syncing. Whatever the real reasons I feel scared about Mariah's well being. I think any and everyone whose every known or works with her needs to call her out. No more enabling her. No more lies and blowing smoke. I think one day soon if she doesn't take accountability for her action and get cleaned up well wake up to find out she is no longer with us. Overdoses are all too common and are the un intented consequences of bad behavior. If anyone has ever been a fan of Mariah please stop being blind to this ridiculousness. She looks happy and is cleaning her image up. She's given great interviews lately. Her vocals have been improving greatly. These people that are coming out with these Mariah horror stories are a day late and a dollar short. It seems strange that when Mariah did seem like she was in a dark place last year no one spoke out but now that she's getting to a better place in her career everyone wants to pop up with these expired stories. Infinity video / National Inquirer (54,127) by Dove from USA I liked it. It didn't blow my mind but she looked beautiful and the white sparkly gown gave me life. I agree with the people who said the scene in the closet (when she's rapping) was a little awkward. It wasn't everything I had hoped for but I still really love it. Hopefully the next video will have a more developed storyline. The National Enquirer prints stories such as "Hillary Clinton Adopts Alien Baby". Everyone knows it's not a reputable news source. I think fans know that while MC does indulge in Champagne and all, she isn't a raging alcoholic or drowning herself in drugs. The main problem is this article is now out in the internet world, where it will stay permanently. The GP and media won't care if the article is true or if Morgan said those. They'll have a field day ripping Mariah apart. Wendy, TMZ. It's on Daily Mail, it'll be all over. All the image cleansing will now go down the drain because everyone will be like wow Carey's own brother is concerned. I agree with the person who said Mariah needs to sit down with Oprah or Diane Sawyer and go for an in-depth serious interview. No diva-ness, no dahlin' no splashes, no cleavage baring outfit. I'm not telling her to abandon it forever, I just want her to do that for the serious interview. It needs to be done.
