Problem (54,125) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter The main problem is not whether the story is true or not. I think fans know that while MC does indulge in Champagne and all, she isn't a raging alcoholic or drowning herself in drugs. The main problem is this article is now out in the internet world, where it will stay permanently. The GP and media won't care if the article is true or if Morgan said those. They'll have a field day ripping Mariah apart. Wendy, TMZ. It's on Daily Mail, it'll be all over. All the image cleansing will now go down the drain because everyone will be like wow Carey's own brother is concerned. I agree with the person who said Mariah needs to sit down with Oprah or Diane Sawyer and go for an in-depth serious interview. No diva-ness, no dahlin' no splashes, no cleavage baring outfit. I'm not telling her to abandon it forever, I just want her to do that for the serious interview. It needs to be done. Yay. TBH I thought she would lip synch the entire song, so I'm impressed that she bothered to sing some of it live. 5 Mariah songs I really don't like (54,121) by NHYTG from nyc Ha, I think this is a funny idea. Mine are: 1) Against All Odds feat. Westlife: I do like the album version a lot but to me this track really sucks. Sounds uninspired, just leaning on Westlife to make make a hit. I knew it was a hit in some European countries and Asia but I was unpleasantly surprised to find it on the European tracklist of #1 To Infinity. My least favorite Mariah track. 2) Boy (I Need You): Mariah has made some songs that I like to call "the silly songs", songs with silly lyrics that are not suitable for a woman her age or blessed with her talent as a singer or songwriter. Like this one. 3) Up Out My Face: Same reason, most of the times I skip it when I play Memoirs. 4) I'm That Chick: Same reason, this should not have been put on an album that has Side Effects and Migrate on it. 5) Touch My Body: Same reason, great video, hugely succesfull but I never liked it, another silly song. Issues (54,120) by Malcolm from Asia I think it's time to Mariah to address all the issues surrounded about her in a tell-all interview, whether it's on Diane Sawyer or Oprah at least it's a credible show. It's time to take away the diva side of hers and be "real" because now, people are not really taking her seriously and sees her as a diva and a woman wearing only sparkly gowns. Mariah must address (1) the divorce, (2) what she feels about the last album's sales and recent singles and what she really thinks gone wrong or the problem, (3) about her departure from Island Def Jam and her comeback at Epic, (4) and recently and the most important to her talk about is the issue involving her brother's statement about her (if it's true). Mariah, please, be straight forward and handle the issues maturely, I'm sick of you having this diva attitude that covering your true identity. If you live in a "bubble" as some saying please someone call your mother and pop it out and live with her together with your kids. I said in my recent post that I want only good vibes for her but after I read Morgan's statement, I'm terrified. If she will continue to avoid these things, it will continue and will ruin her image. I'm not concerned in her music career as of now, if it's flop or not, my only concern is her, as a person. Just have a tell-all interview, be genuine in answering all the questions and go away, hire a life coach, reflect, be with your mother and have some private time with your family. Not selling her out for a paycheck, and exposing her private struggles to the world. You would think that was low enough. Then he says and I quote "She'll die just like Whitney Houston." What the [censored]? Seriously, if you really believe that then you should be banging down her door and doing everything in your power to help her. Why would you even tell that to the media if you really loved her? What an ass. MC should just stay the hell away from her family if they are going to sell her out like this. Some aspects (not all) does seem to make sense (54,112) by trox from united states The Morgan/National Enquirer story is horrible, but I don't think some aspects of it is that improbable. The drinking part during her pregnancy is a little bit crazy, beause Mariah would not jeopardize her children's life or hers like that. And she couldn't even get out of bed in the last weeks, so this is hard to believe. But there's some other aspects that do make sense: the enables, the depression and the drinking [censored]. She seems depressed in a way or other, but it's clear that her work is helping her to get through it. What I don't think is impossible is that she may have a (minor) drinking and prescription drugs problems. There's something about her that sometimes is a little bit off. Said that, I do believe she is a good mother and does her best to raise her children, so the article is malicious. I'm trying to have a mature perception of the situation. The possible truth behind Infinity video (54,109) by trox from united states Personally, I did like the Infinity video, but there's a simple fact that people are not taking into consideration: all the delays have must something to do with Mariah's image, or, in other words, her weight. In the video, she looks much tinner and fit than in real life. Probably they did a superb job editing the images and doing technical things to thin her up. I'm happy they did that, because Mariah would look like that with less pounds. I do believe the first shootings of the video didn't enter in the final edit because Mariah is looking overweight (it seems odd that they did divulge a short alternative version in YouTube where she does not look her best, very round-faced/the mirror part). They had to do alternate shootings to try to edit and make her seem thinner in the video. For me, this is why the Infinity video looks a little bit disorganized. The focus was more on Mariah's image. But I did like it. And I love the end, when she finally embraces real life and goes out with the guy. That part was the sweetest for me. The selfie part must have to do with her taking her picture with the puppy to send to the guy, so they can make up and go out in a date. (Wednesday 3 June 2015; 16:40)

I do not believe for a second the things he said about her drinking while nursing and also right after giving birth. The few moments we saw her with her kids, she seems like a great mother. While she had a little depression drinking moment last year, she is clearly in a better place for a long time now. Her alcohol episodes last year is quite understandable now since the woman was going through both personal and professional tsunami. I guess since I'm a late 70's baby I have an appreciation for the 80s sound. I can agree that she didn't need all the features. Most of those songs stood out on their own with just her voice. Please let this whole mess be a fabrication because I don't think I can believe Morgan would do Mariah like that. That's her big brother who's supposed to always protect her. This is going to sound horrible but I would expect this from Alison before Morgan. I don't know I can't even know what to say. I can already see Wendy running with this and slay Mariah until there's no tomorrow. Headlines upon headlines. I really hope this is false because I don't want to think of the possibility of losing Mariah. I seriously hope there's good people around her, not just record label execs/managers/pr team, but also like a life coach/therapist etc. With all the stress/tension she talks about and the celebrity life she leads, she must release it in some way and I hope in a healthy way. My 5 songs I dislike (54,104) by Licia from USA 5. Infinity - Everybody here pretty much knows I dislike this song. It's just not a good song and it should have stayed in the vault or the trash. 4. Did I Do That - This has to be the worst use of a sample ever. I'm upset Mariah helped create this mess. I love the original rap song. It didn't fit with what Mariah was trying create. 3. Say Something - I usually love anything that Pharrell touches, but it didn't work out on this song. I was ticked at LA Reid for picking this garbage as a single over better songs on TEOM. 2. To The Floor - This song just sucks. 1. All I Want For Christmas Extra Festive Mix - This remix of a remix was a waste of space on a good effort at a second Christmas album. This mix was not needed. The So So Def remix is the only remix that I acknowledge. I don't pass these songs up. They didn't even make it to the iPod. These songs don't exist in my mind. Lol. (Wednesday 3 June 2015; 16:07)

this_is_qhm (54,103) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Oh my gosh you didn't just diss "Triumphant" and "My Love". How dare you?. *shakes qhm* Haha kidding but seriously I love these 2 songs. I get why people probably don't like them, but I am so glad they exist. Also hey you can't really hate on "My Love" because technically its The-Dream's song and Mariah is just a featured artist. As for Triumphant, I have always loved that song. I think what went wrong with it was the timing. The song is great and the video is gorgeous, but it wasn't right as the lead single. I mean at that time people waited almost 3 years to get a proper studio album from Mariah, so when she released a song that made her sound like a featured artist on her own track, there was backlash. So yes, not right as a lead single but I love the song. Love the video even more. I also don't mind IWKWLI, especially the ending where it soars, however the other two songs you mentioned are songs I don't like as well. I mean I would be fine if they didn't exist. 5 songs Mariah should never have done (54,102) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines Despite how much we love our girl to death, we each have our own list of tracks which are not too fond of that have us reaching for the skip button every time they come along. This should be interesting. Mine are: 5. I Want To Know What Love Is - Okay, I don't hate it, I may even enjoy parts of it at times, but of all her ballad covers, this one impresses me the least. Her restraint in here is commendable, but the final product was a shadow of the original, so watered down. 4. Triumphant (Get 'Em) - There's a reason why this flopped. It just has zero crossover appeal, plus that chorus (which has potential) just ends up sounding limp for some reason. 3. My Love - I just never got into this track. Like ever. And the worst part is that I don't know why. 2. Got A Thing 4 You - I mean, I love "What You Won't Do For Love", but it is just wasted on this weird concoction. 1. Last Night A DJ Saved My Life - This track exemplifies what the biggest problem of Glitter was (it sticks out like a sore thumb in an otherwise great album): too many featured guests. It drags on way too long. It sounds fine in the context of the album, but as a track, this is just the sonic form of the term "ill-advised". (Wednesday 3 June 2015; 13:13)

New album (54,099) by 123 from USA Now that the video has come out, we can finally leave this 1 To Infinity era behind. The promotion was great and her performances have improved. She needs to continue to sing live. Now Mariah, there is no time for breaks before the July leg of your show. You need to get back in the studio and continue working on the new album, you know, the album you said you were up late working on a couple months ago. She needs resurgence with new great material, heavy promotion, and great live performances. May Infinity be a lesson that should have been learned with all the other lack luster singles (Triumphant, TALG, You're Mine) that you've tried to push while you ignore an album full of solid material (MIAM) or even a possible summer song (YDKWTD). No more filler to help buy time, get back in the lab, stay in hiding and reemerge with solid material that you promote the hell out of instead of paying it dust. (Wednesday 3 June 2015; 9:06)

Infinity video (alternative version) (54,098) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End This version is my current favourite with all the symbolism of the smudged 8 lipstick on the mirror and her bling jewely. She has never looked more beautiful and that is amazing in itself. Some of you are still not up to speed about the point of this song and videos because you're too caught up in chart positions. But that's okay because M is stealth like that. Not really, but let's pretend she is. It's freaking hilarious tbh. All is fair. (Wednesday 3 June 2015; 5:47)
