Cheers, toast, bravo to 25 years of Mariah (53,357) by Tiina from Finland
Today I'm grateful to have discovered Mariah and her music. I'm not going to get too personal here but her music has saved my life, so you get the picture. I'll be forever in debt to her. Sometimes we get so caught up in our criticisms and analysis that we forget to show the respect this woman deserves. We forget to be thankful for all that Mariah has done and still continues to do. She's still here, after 25 incredible years, still passionate about music and giving us real artistry (every single album she's released is truly a work of art and mean something to me). It's a blessing that she's sharing her rare talent with us. Imagine a life without her and never having had the privilege to hear such beauty. My life wouldn't be the same. Mariah's music has not only saved me, it has expanded my musical consciousness and music being my greatest passion in life, that's saying something.

Mimi L (53,356) by Jono from USA
It's been a couple of years, but Mariah does not forget about these things. Once you cross her, you might as well be dead in her book. I'm just annoyed that, if the seating chart is true, the producers clearly just want the ratings to see if the tension boils over. Once again, the respect of Mariah having her 25th year in the industry is nowhere to be found. And by now I'm no longer surprised that the fame-thirsty sisters are invited to every awards show. Society feeds them. The more fans they have, the more exposure anything they touch gets. Clearly they are there for the ratings. So long as Mariah is front row, because I swear if they put those talentless hacks in front of Mariah they better be forced to go on stage and perform.

Marian's publicist (53,354) by Bill from the UK
"Unfortunately it was under her doctors advice which unfortunately was unfortunate late timing." How unfortunate. Somebody needs to buy him a thesaurus.

Respect (53,353) by Tevin from USA
It's sad that artists like Whitney and MJ only get respect after they pass. Rest in peace. Please I hope this doesn't happen to Mariah, she still has a long life ahead and deserves a lot of respect and recongnition. Happy anniverary VOL 25 years.

Honey (53,352) by Otti from Belgium
I would like to say few things about the song "Honey", the remix with The Lox and Mase. It's one of my favorite up tempo song by MC. The video, I think, was way too sexy, at that time, especially the helicopter scene, when Mase pulled Mariah up from the jetski, and she landed on his lap, while turning with her butt in that swimsuit. While he is raping her, you can see Mariah raps some lines along. The song full of sexuality and dubble meaning, is genius. The beat gets never dated. Sounding so sexy and free. Most of all her attitude in the video, is so [...]. Like bring it on haters.

Jono / seating (53,351) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Well I heard they changed the seating and now Mariah and Nicki will probably be on the same row. Plus now Britney is on Mariah's right. While I think Nicki will be on her left. Haha someone is having a blast with the seating arrangements. It might very well just be that MC and Nicki are no longer feuding. I am sure their team would interfere if they had problems. What's worse though is that the Kardashians are right behind Mariah. What the heck? They deserve to be way back. I demand that they switch places with 1D.

25th Year festivities (53,348) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I better see some of those people citing Mariah as the reason they started singing to wish her on her achieving 25 years milestone. I also agree with Baby about Billboard giving Mariah a new award.

Wendy's influence over the "lambs" (53,347) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So I see a lot of people saw the new episode of Wendy's show and now they are flooding Mariah and her team's pages with ideas that Wendy put in their head. Real stupid. Wendy suggested that Mariah should have lip-synced instead of cancelled. Ya right. The moment she would to that, Wendy would be the first to jump on the "oh Mariah is at it (lip-synching) again, the voice is no longer there" bandwagon. Plus the fans now demanding that she lip-sync would be the same ones to go on and write about how they didn't pay so much money to hear her lip-sync. Really anything Mariah would do would backfire. The great Wendy also suggested Mariah to host a meet and greet, as if that's the best thing to do while she is on vocal rest. Wendy stop trying to give out advice like you know everything. This woman thinks she's the best adviser in the world. She suggested Britney should come out in a wheelchair and perform when she hurt her ankle. I get that fans may be upset to have their plans spoiled but really some situations are hard to control. On another note, I was a little surprised to hear Wendy call herself a lamb multiple times today. She always maintained she is a fan not a lamb, but today she called herself a lamb many times. Also no so unexpectedly, Norman the fake lamb was making fun of Mariah.

Re: Dutch tracklist #1 To Infinity (53,238) by the webmaster a.k.a. Eric (53,345) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
5. Dreamlover
6. Blind Alley
17. We Belong Together
18. Two Occasions
19. If You Think You're Lonely Now
20. Don't Forget About Us
22. Infinity
I've seen similar track lists in various European online record outlets and it's very curious that 6, 18 and 19 are listed as if they are actual tracks while Fantasy, Honey and Heartbreaker don't have their respective sampled/interpolated songnames listed after them. Like who is DJing this playlist? Hmmm.

Billboard Music Awards hitlist (53,344) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
1. They better be honouring Mariah with a unique award/plaque/trophy/ice sculpture. I am not here for them giving MC any JLo leftover accolade. That would mean they have been planning to shade her since last year? Why can't Mariah get the first Billboard Legacy Artist Award?
2. All this business of having nicknames all around Mariah is x 100
Maybe Stevie Nicks is giving her the Legend Award speech?
3. Emotions (Unplugged intro) and Infinity, with the lyrics video playing for the audience to sing along to. I'm so here for it. Anything else is just icing on the anniversary cake.
4. Arm candy? Whomever is the video hunk from Infinity OR Michael/Shawn/Morgan/Trey.
5. Attire: Anything black, fire engine red and sculpting. Must photograph well. She's been looking really really good lately so shout out to whomever the stylist she is collaborating with. I wonder if she still has a few of those Victor Alfaro dresses from the Music Box era in storage, you know the one she had on for her Endless Love performance with Luther at the Royal Albert Hall concert that had a tuxedo cut? But I know it's gonna be a mermaid moment because that's her thing right now so I'm here for that too.

25 years of the empress (53,343) by darrian liu from taiwan
I've only become a lamb since 2013 (I was born in 2000), but as a child, she gave me a dream that until now, still prevails. When I was 5 years old I heard We Belong Together on the radio and I was blown away. I used to want to be a doctor. I thought I'm gonna be a doctor someday, and nothing was gonna change my little mind. But that long belted note turned my head upside down and I said to myself "I don't wanna be a doctor. I wanna be like her." Since that day, I always knew that someday, I can be as inspiring as her and touch people with my music, my voice, just like the great Mariah Carey. God bless her in everything.

Mariah the firecracker is back (53,342) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
I just love how forthright and candid MC has been this past year. This LA Times piece is just jucier than watermelon. Whew, it's almost like a giant weight has been lifted off her shoulders and she's back to being her authentic self again. Her relaxed stance reminds me so much of the Butterfly promo era, especially the marvellous Molly Meldrum interview. This era of transparency is such a breath of fresh air after being stuck in what felt like the shallow end of a kiddy pool. That other genius "publicist" would have probably harrassed Mariah and made her delete her tweets about bronchitis being the reason behind the other night's cancellation. I really enjoy Stella Bulochnikov as her new partner in crime. When is the last time Mariah ever had a female manager, aside from herself, that's also mature and completely comfortable in their own skin? Does Patricia Carey back in 1988 during the signing of her first record deal with Columbia count? With all this nostalgia it's very fitting that Vision Of Love came out 25 years ago today. Happy anniversary M and all you old school Lambily, class of 1990, to infinity and beyond.

Billboard Music Awards (53,340) by SM from Citizen of the World
I find it odd they have Mariah seated in the audience. When was the last time she sat in a audience at any award show? And the fact she has a show Sunday night. I wonder if she will receive a special award for 25 years along with performing. Idk maybe wishful thinking but I can't imagine her sitting in the audience not being recognized for anything lol.

Younger throwback artists (53,339) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Mariah is musically an old soul. No matter how strong her hip-hop influences are, her sound will always be deeply rooted in singers and hits of the past. I'm always happy to see younger artists dabbling in retro sonics for their material. Since Amy's not around anymore, at least we can be thankful for Adele, Bruno Mars, Meghan Trainor, Charlie Puth, Sam Smith, and yes, even Ariana Grande for somehow keeping this sound alive by introducing them to this younger generation who seem to be all about the Taylors, Katys, and Rihannas these days. Of course they're never gonna do doo-wop like Mariah does, or complement "wall of sound" production like Amy does, but at least they're there to balance all the mindless generic pop that currently seems to be flooding the airwaves.

25 years of Mariah (53,338) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It's already the 15th here, so I just want to say, happy 25th anniversary of your career Mimi. "Thank God I Found You" and your music, you have struggled and you made it and no matter how much people shade you and "H.A.T.E.U", you are a living legend and they "Can't Take That Away". Your voice is a sweet sweet "Fantasy" of thousands of wannabes around the world and dahlin' you are a "Vision of Love". "I Still Believe" in you and always will. I know you will rise again "Against All Odds". You are my "Hero" and "Someday" I will be able to tell that to you in person. Mariah, "Honey" you are "Beautiful" inside and out. The music industry would be nothing "Without You". I love you with "My All" and you will "Always Be My Baby". Mariah Carey, you will stay "Triumphant" from now to "infinity".

The BBMA seating (53,335) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
They must have some humor, because Nicki Minaj has been seated right behind Mariah. Like the very seat behind Mariah. I'd like to see how that plays out. I mean I don't really want them fighting, but if the AI feud was still on, someone or the other will roll eyes or change seats. Anyways so the Kardashians are right next to Nicki, while Nick Jonas is beside MC. You can see it here.

The media (53,334) by Jono from USA
How surprising, the media was fairly silent when it came to Mariah's successful opening night and subsequent performances, but now it's rampant again about how she cancelled her show. Could her team have handled the cancellation better? Sure. But isn't it convenient that the news is now spinning the story that Mariah's show had been "struggling". Haters stay mad lol. Unfortunately these brainwashed puppets who are so used to subpar vocal skills and singing from current artists they don't realize the vocal olympics that is Mariah's set list. Hell, even Mariah's opening rift in VOL would send many acts today running to the backing track. This is the media guys, sensationalism sells and gets you clicks. It is extremely irritating though, it's like our girl can't catch a break. That being said, I'm wishing Mariah a speedy recovery. It's a little troubling to hear about her having bronchitis again, especially since that was a problem in Asia last year. I don't know her schedule (and would never attempt it), but she needs rest. My roommate was a trained opera singer and she was absolutely strict about resting her voice and getting enough sleep. We know how hard Mariah works and how staying up until the early hours of the morning is normal, but it's not good for someone who has such a delicate voice. But this is just a minor setback, and I know she will bounce back. I'm excited for this weekend, big things are coming up.

Mariah's wisdom (53,333) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Even when she was young and starting out, Mariah always had this beyond her years maturity. Yes, maybe she learned to indulge the 12-year old self more and more as her career progressed, but she would always have this more serious side that she usually only shows in more intimate and casual interviews. It's very interesting to see how these conversations reveal just how smart and savvy she is. Especially her latest interviews, where her answers seem to hold more weight (like kilos, haha) and substance than ever before, possibly because they come from a woman who has weathered more storms than most artists can get out alive of. The wisdom in her most recent words is intriguing and quite extraordinary, as they manage the delicate balance between being too safe and revealing too much. That's why I find it fascinating to listen to interviews with legacy artists such as Mariah, Madonna, Janet, etc. because they have been around for so long, you can't help but learn from them.

Mimi L (53,332) by darrian liu from taiwan
I'm really hoping that the BBMAs would resurrect Infinity, as well as the video. I wish that this single won't be another "buzz single". Lol the LA Times interview was amazing, I had the same feeling with Mariah when SIO didn't go #1, I was like damn you WBT can't you like step out of #1 for a week for SIO then just continue your reign the next week? Idk how they would make Infinity climb up the charts again. I think to make it a hit they'll need to re-introduce it with a killer remix. Sam Smith re-did Lay Me Down as a duet with John Legend and it flew into the top 10 immediately.
