I hope she will sing those two songs whole instead of cutting out the second verse. They are the ultimate ballads and early #1s. I don't care if she just sings a snippet of TGIFY, which she did for her first show. For those that went to the show, did it show a video montage of her life/#1 hits before the curtain raised? I'd love to see similar to that. I went to see Celine a few years ago and it had a short video of her career and how she traveled the world and I hope Mariah and her team includes something similar that it, just to show the Vegas residents/non old-school fans that she's been around for 25 years plus and the collection of awards she's got. That's all. Out of the outfits, I must say I don't like the last pink one. It looks tacky and unflattering with the shoulder pads. There's one dress (butterfly dress) out there from Givenchy's Fall 2015 collection and when I saw it, I immediately thought of Mariah because there's whole butterfly embroidered in the front of the dress. It's sparkling and I hope she will mix things up in the later shows. It's a hit or miss with her stylists. It seems like she has multiple stylists or something. I'm so tired of comments like yours. Using pre-recording vocals or singing over it is not only part of Mariah's shows. Most of singers do that. Celine did it for her shows too. Especially in Mariah's case because she uses a lot of background vocals in all of her songs. Now about her voice, your comment is like it is about an easy thing to do. What are you expecting? It's not like going to a store and pay 100 dollars and say ok now give me back my voice. "Recovering her voice" is not an easy thing after several years of singing and especially in MC's octaves it's obvious her voice is damaged. Get it. Now her voice sounds raspy and stop bringing that stuff again. She's doing her best or what do you think? That she wants to sound like that on purpose? Some people are so selfish, only thinking in what they want but don't think for the other part. It must to be harder for her because its her voice not yours. She feels the frustration, not you. It's so sad to see you so sad. I suggest that seeing a shrink can do you wonders to relieve your sadness. If you say that you can sing higher than MC, then go write, produce and record 18 number 1 hits and then talk. Mariah is human and it is natural for her to take care of her voice by using support systems. She is not a robot and she has been doing great in Vegas. What is so sad is the fact that you keep on mentioning the past negatively incidents such as Jamaica and Rockefellar. Live in the present and the world has moved on from those negative incidents and are currently enjoying Mariah's success in Vegas. I've always been under the impression that the degradation of Mariah's vocals were due to improper belting technique and nodules. There are so many advances in the surgeries they do on vocal chords for entertainers these days. It's a far cry from when Elton John did it and his voice was never the same around 1987. I think she should do it. There's no reason at her age she shouldn't be able to hit these notes like other veterans. Cyndi Lauper comes to mind. (Thursday 7 May 2015; 17:24)

I was expecting Mariah to recover her voice, I thought that after the Rockefeller performance and Jamaica's playback which became viral, she would stop doing it or at least doing it better. Yes, Love Takes Time and I Don't Wanna Cry sounded good because she re-recorded the bridges and difficult parts of the chorus. It's so sad to see my idol, the one and only Mariah Carey who once was the best voice in the business, not being able to sing just one entire song without doing playback or using a back up track. Vision Of Love was awful, I think I could even sing higher than that and better. Yes, VOL was 100% live and 90% horrible. She lipsynched/used pre-recorded vocals in all of her songs except in VOL and I'll Be There. It hurted me to see Mariah doing such a poor rendition, however I loved the combination with Michael's version and the tribute. She even lipsynched Infinity. All the whistle notes from Emotions, Someday, Love Takes Time and even Infinity were re-recorded vocals. Such a shame to watch Fantasy with her 1995 voice, clearly Mariah knows how to make us laugh. At least she could have recorded a full new version with her current voice. The only song she did very well and 100% live was Thank God I Found You. So sad to see your idol fall. So sad to think that if she could have all this big scenario and dancers and feathers and lights at her prime would have been an amazing show to watch. (Thursday 7 May 2015; 17:01)

I enjoy your posts as well, especially since you tend to point out a lot of things that most are likely to miss or skip. Thanks and that's nice of you, though I'd have you know that the keyword in your compliment is "sound". Haha. Anyways, yeah, I'd love for Mariah to work with someone as talented as Mark Ronson. Having listened to some of his work, I'd have to say the guy's terribly underrated as a producer. He recreates retro sounds like no other. His work sounds very convincing, you'd actually think the songs were actually from the decades that inspired them (his latest album is great as well). But I'd have to agree with you on the Amy part. Really, if Mariah were to do a straight-up throwback album a la Christina's Back To Basics, I would really like her to work with him. It would be interesting how he would use the wall of sound technique on a voice as unique as Mariah's. (Thursday 7 May 2015; 14:59)

That LTT clip is awesome. I love when she sings that live. Now that she's with Sony I actually have hope that there will be a DVD release. The stage for the Infinity show is just beautiful. It's amazing the photo and video quality even coming from instagram. Re the Infinity extended video, anyone else reminded of the Daydream era a little with the one curly strand in the front of her hair?
