Amen, amen, and a huge, gigantic amen to you. I could not have expressed those sentiments any better. Perfect post. Edward, your post was great too. It's ironic to me. The people calling others haters are the drama seekers in reality. The rest of us are just trying to have an enjoyable conversation, even if at times we disagree. Some fans take a disagreement so dang personally, like disagreeing with their opinion is the same as a personal insult. It's so laughable, really. Anyways, those folks are the ones who need to grab a chair and sit down, and chill the heck out, lol. It ain't that deep.

New song or songs (47,578)
by B from USA
| |
|
|
I think Mariah is going to release a new album sometime next year or she's planning to release a new version of MIAMTEC that features new songs. I think that she has a song up her sleeve that will be a commercial hit. She's not stupid. She's an amazing singer songwriter and she'll come out and slay all the people who doubted her and her talent.

Twenty four years (47,577)
by B from USA
| |
|
|
Mariah has blessed us with her gifts for twenty four years. She's an icon. Her voice continues to improve and yet people still say she sounds like a cheap imitation of her former self. They say they don't understand what and why we enjoy some of her recent performances? What is your reasoning? I really hope Mariah never reads the message board. I'm ashamed that some of you continued to post nothing but negativity. Be nice or leave.

All I Want For Christmas (47,576)
by Jono from USA
| |
|
|
I know there's still two months until Christmas, in fact Halloween hasn't even happened, but is anyone else excited that the holiday season is coming up? There's just something about the spirit and mood, despite the cold, that really excites me. It also has to do with Mariah being synonymous with the festivity, since she has given us two incredible albums. And this year will mark the 20th anniversary of All I Want For Christmas Is You, which I think is incredible that it has truly become a holiday classic and will be for generations to come. And so long as winter holidays keep existing, future generations will get to know Mariah's work. She has created something that many of her contemporaries never could.

Kuala Lumpur (47,575)
by Lee from UK
| |
|
|
Having watched as many videos as I could of this Elusive Chanteuse Tour, I was extremely worried for Mariah. That was until I saw the Kuala Lumpur video. I liked how there was less production in the concert, there was less dramatics and over the topness. It was literally Mariah singing her songs without a lot of the campness that goes with her performances of late. As a result, she sounded a hell of a lot better in my humble opinion. If I was to see Mariah on this tour, this is exactly what I would expect. I hope Mariah can maintain this for when she comes to the UK. Nobody wants to see her try to compete with the likes of Beyoncé for "putting on a show". We British are quite simple people. Show up on time, sing your little heart out and we will go home happy.

Like a dragon (47,573)
by David F from Mexico
| |
|
|
Wow MC is like a dragon to me, that has been sleeping quietly, and something woke her up all of a sudden, to spit fire with that raw but beautiful voice of hers. I have been watching the videos from her Elusive tour and to see fans from there showing love for her and singing along Hero for example is totally glorious. I think her eyes and heart needed to feel and see the response from them. I have never seen these things in the past. She is so big in Asia from what I have read, God has blessed this woman over there. I am happy to live in this generation where I look to her as an example in terms of enjoying a talented artist who doesnt show twerks or booty, but real things like belting out a true emotion or be sexy but with confidence and keeps slaping those wanna bees. All she needs is a true strong man inside the music industry to help her with the promotions, open doors in the radio stations. The whole Elusive album is radio friendly and good, so sad since they rather support a Barbados or a UK Katy than her own talented artists. She said the powers that be I understand. I miss the big voice ballads from the 90 's, on the radio remember? I just pray for those artists who are doing wrong things to get exposure, but I would not change never ever songs like Hero instead of Dark Horse or Anaconda Hello. Anyway I wish so much she could sing "Through the rain'' as an opener. I would be magical because of the harmonies and the surviving feel. Bye.

New song (47,572)
by Abraham from USA
| |
|
|
That new song in Kuala Lumpur sounded interesting. That short clip wasn't enough. Hopefully we'll get to hear all of it soon. I was wondering when Mariah was going to start singing new songs. She had said to not be surprised if sang some new songs, other than the "Don't explain" cover. I was like, okay, where are they? Not being rude. I just really want to hear some new stuff, but still enjoying the album though.

Impromptu moments (47,571)
by MCFan#1 from usa

I am new to this message board but not new to the site. I had to come in and comment on the Kuala Lumpur impromptu videos. Now that's what I call perfect. "In the rain, I guess we're just a little bit south of Spain. Lighting strikes, Kuala Lumpur." I mean it does not get any prettier than that.

Marissa / bitchiness / paid haters (47,570)
by Edward from USA
| |
|
|
Marissa, your post was spot on. I was going to say something about it, but you stated it perfectly. Now that the messageboard is "all-loving and positive" and that "we're holding hands, lipsyncing and hitting high notes together", some fans want to stir the pot. It is like bitchiness is the new trend here. Talk about crucifying the "so called haters" and then summoning them when they are not around, what a contradiction. Some are so cocky behind their monitors thinking they've crushed the ones who have disagreed with them and that's why the "crushed ones" aren't posting; that's what I call pure delusion. And for those who think there are "paid haters" posting here, shouldn't we be seeing them posting several times a day to get paid for their services? It is not that Mariah's eclipsing or threatening anybody's career.

Impromptu moments (47,569)
by Lee TS from USA
| |
|

I live for moments like these when she makes things up off the cusp. It's meant to be silly but it's also kind of like seeing her songwriting process. Just her singing to whatever, the whole, "I would sing all day rather than speak if I had her voice" sentiment. I wonder if she'll debut a new song like she had said for the tour's press statement, which would be a nice treat to the lambily.

I get what you're saying and I agree with most of it, but when the last tour started a lot of people were on here saying things like Mariah can't sing, Mariah's career is over. I appreciate everyone's opinion, but I just don't like to hear that because I disagree with both points. Btw I'm not one to over react and act crazy. I would never personally insult anyone here. I was merely stating that there does seem to be many haters on a fan sight. Anyways though, so glad Mimi's tour is going better. On another note, I think we have discussed this before, I get so tired of hearing the same songs. The set list from her first night was amazing. I mean I love Emotions and ABMB, but I rather hear Faded or Camouflage. Actually I would die if she did a concert where she just sang MIAM all the way through. Wouldn't that be amazing?

I had to get this off of my chest (47,567)
by Marissa from USA
| |
|
|
No matter what is actually going on in Mariah's career, there is typically fighting and shade on this messageboard. It's sickening. It's hard enough to be a lamb in a world where people like Wendy Williams are bashing Mariah every day, but then people think it's cute to turn around and create wars among ourselves. When there's finally some peace on this board, people see it as the perfect time to stir up s*** again by calling out "haters". Now you're trying to take away the one common ground that we all have, being fans, just because you disagree with someone. The sad thing is that half the drama here isn't the posts themselves, but people's over-dramatic reactions to them. I don't think we'd have any issues if people wouldn't see other people's opinions as a personal affront, realize that we're all different and move on. No one is any more or less of a fan than the other, but every time something that can't be blindly agreed with is said, someone shows up to remind people of how they aren't really fans. You aren't suddenly a hater if you didn't like a performance that some people raved over. You aren't delusional if you enjoyed something MC did that many others didn't like. If someone believes in their heart that they're a lamb, let them be that. It's no one's job to fit into your (whoever you might be) idea of what a lamb is.

Some people (47,566)
by B from USA
| |
|
|
Some people are delusional. They call themselves fans and yet they complain about everything Mariah does. I don't get it. I love Mariah. I love her. Her voice isn't as shot as some claim. She was clearly sick that first night. I think her upper register would be the first to go. Look at Maria Callas. Her upper register was shot before her death. I think it would be a similar case for Mariah.

The Elusive Chanteuse Show in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia (47,564)
by Leonard Mimi Carey from Malaysia
| |
|
|
The Chanteuse totally liven up to her reputation as not only being elusive as her usual diva self, but a true song bird who could really sing, I mean, really sing with her real voice. Mariah Carey made another spectacular impact to the city of ?Kuala Lumpur? last night in her ??The Elusive Chanteuse Show? as not only she wowed the crowd with her smart choice of songs and also torn the stadium down into pieces with her impeccable vocal. She broke the myth by her last concert where she was a one-dress woman and this time, not only she has had few dresses changed, and change of dresses too. She was sexy without being slutty, she was sassy and absolutely classy. The real true diva herself was so great that, even the royal families have to sit down on the plastic chairs under the never ending rain with the commoners, all right below her admiring her ever so sweetly. Oh, God is fair, lol. Hero, you are truly one hero to many many many of us around the world, and last night, Malaysia became the center of the world for one very good reason, finally. I was told by the organizer that your final words before leaving to Singapore was, "I'm really gonna miss KL and the lambs truly amazed me, I am gonna miss them so much." You, queen Mimi, need to remember this, the love we have for you in life-long, and never ending. You, the elusive chanteuse, just sing and keep making great music for us all. We love you. I love you. Thank you for making me so happy.

Another record (47,561)
by Twisterman from Brazil
| |

Mariah's world tour, "The Elusive Chanteuse Show", is a commercial success. After singing for more than 30,000 people in Japan, Mariah Carey became the only western artist in history to sing to 5 sold-out stadiums in China, and also the only western artist to perform a concert in Tianjin. In celebration of this, Mimi won a little gift in the Dior store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Sabotage (47,559)
by Orkun from The Netherlands
| |
|
|
As a final reminder, please please be aware of sabotagers who really get paid for what they do. I'm not calling names. Just putting the topic out there. So please be aware of the situation. It's real. Just look at how you feel lately when you come to this messageboard. Think. There is your answer. Don't look at the words written. Or the name. Look at the intention behind it before you give a thumbs up or skip. I give thumbs up to messages some of you won't even expect. Even sometimes the ones which are directed at me, when it's well written with good intention. This is a Mariah message board. But the "in your face, haters" messages or "I love Mariah" messages don't get the thumbs up one would expect. 10? 20? Shouldn't it be more? It's the easiest way to get thumbs up on a fan board. Sabotage much? We all know how to do it. It's the easiest thing. Some crave the thumbs up, no matter the cost, and some crave their messages to be read and to be heard. Know the difference please. You may be supporting people who, in real, hate Mariah. Every word of mine is sincere I swear. Peace.

Baby, perfectly written message. Great sum up. Jono, you attacked me personally. I read your last post and I agree with what you say. I'm sorry you got bullied in the past which I think 99% of this board has gone through. You have attacked me, my profession (life coach), and have tried to gang up against me with some people. Here is the story: I got bullied as a child. That made me a life coach to protect myself and others who suffer from the same. Of course, Mariah was there for me too. And as a Mariah fan, I am not expecting a "congratulations" but respect. You seemed to have chosen the other option. Bullying back. That is how you came across to me. Your last post was nice and very well written. Let's all move on.

It appears that Dwayne Johnson, Brett Ratner and producer Beau Flynn were in Beijing, China, on October 16, attending the premiere of their movie Hercules at the Wanda CBD. There was also a picture of Dwayne visiting the Great Wall on October 18. I wonder if they were able to attend Mariah's concert since she and Brett are really close.
