I agree that Mariah's public persona has only grown increasingly un-relatable (it's been O.O.C. since the E=MC2 era). I also agree that lambs have this tendency to act "delusional" at times, making them seem like they're living in a state of denial, and yes, that does get on my nerves at times, but then I'd think of how Mariah gets bashed by the media and haters on other sites as well and realize that I'd rather have people who are uber-supportive to so somehow balance things out. And don't let the "blind allegiance" act fool you. These overly positive lambs see what's wrong. They would rather just black out the negativity and see the good, even if what they see is average by your standards. They are also just being considerate. It's obvious that Mariah's voice isn't in the same effortlessly brilliant state it was in the past. But considering the ravages it has survived over the past quarter of a century, it still stands head and shoulders above what all them regularities out there can offer. Lambs who praise her current voice appreciate the fact that at least she didn't take the Whitney route despite everything she's been through. You may put this message (maybe even me) in your "delusional" pile - I'm fine with that. I'm just being supportive, because I finally realized that if Mariah really wanted the harsh truth, she would have listened to it a long time ago. Just saying.

It's an unofficial release, so Mariah didn't make it available but also she is not making quick money with it as you put it.

Comeback song (48,682) by Darryle from USA
I think for Mariah's comeback song she should hop on a song and be a featured guest. Just like IKWYW. It'd be easier to get a top 10 hit as a featured artist I think. She can hop on and it person's song and their publicity will boost hers. Also if the single were to fall flat and not chart she wouldn't be blamed because the song isn't hers.

Pearl theater (48,681) by Darryle from USA
I actually don't think it's authorized. It's been released under a different label. Also I noticed that one of the tracks is title Shake It Up. I don't know if it's because it's a mashup of some sort but I believe it's an error. So I'm definetly leaning towards the side unauthorized. Which sucks because one I want to buy it and two it'd just bring even more trouble for Mariah.

I don't understand what you're fighting for. You're a person full of negativity. I always see you on this site posting negative messages about Mariah.

Don't feed the trolls/haters (48,679) by ktktkt from Philippines
Let's just enjoy this holiday without wasting our time to haters. They are "haters" for a reason and there's no way that we can sway them. What we can all do is to ignore them (e.g. don't respond, don't make post for them, don't mention their names, because we all know who they are and they will lurk and lurk since they can't get MCs out of their airheads). We should all spread love and support to our dear MC. If I am a hater of someone, I don't need to "religiously" go to her forum and spread my hatred, that's just so pathetic as I spend most of my time finding glitch to the person I hate so much. It's just doesn't make sense to me. Funny that they are not getting "tired", they must be getting energized bashing MC. The answer is to treat them as if they don't exist. (I'm just going to post it once since they will think that I care to much for them lol. I'm writing to fellow lambies to not entertain these trolls because they don't deserve our attention.) Looking forward to her Beacon performances, I'm positive that MC will slaythose haters again in the Nth time.

Signature song (48,678) by Jon from Netherlands
We talked about the song that Mariah is recognized for. I was wondering what song better symbolises Mariah, the song that she could sign underneath saying "this is who I am and what I did as an artist and this reprensents my career". I would say "Fly like a bird": it has the vocals she is known for, the big production, the choir elements she uses often, the religious content that she believes in, it's not a love song (which is not how I think Mariah would like to be remembered) but an inspirational (ish) one which is very Mariah, it's part of her big comeback and a testament of her perserverance and proof of her endurance and that Grammy performance could be the performance for which she is remembered. It is also evidence of her vulnerability as a person and honesty as a songwriter. If I were to choose another one I would say "I wish you well". It's clearly one of her most (if not the most) personal song. I don't think it's very representative of her music though. It's not her typical sound but it represents who Mariah is very well.

Is it authorized? I heard the clips on Amazon and they sounded pretty good. It's only $8.00.

Pearl Palms concert live (48,675) by Darryle from USA
So Mariah, I just noticed that Mariah released this onto iTunes. I wonder why? It might be to make some quick money or just because. I'm really just wondering why this concert out of all of them. She's had so many but she chose to release this one. She sounded very good then so I'm considering buying it anyway.

Critics (48,674) by B from USA
Who are you guys calling critics? Bloggers like Perez Hilton? I wouldn't take his opinion seriously even if he paid me to do so lol. Rolling Stone, Billboard, and EW gave Mariah's latest album high marks so saying critics don't like her is nonsense. A better statement would be bloggers who were relevant for about five minutes over a decade ago are bitter that she never gave them a moment of her time.

Hey my fellow lambs. The 3 week break from this post went swell. I am happy to see more positive, enthusiastic, and less negatively righteous fans overflowing this post. Even through skeptism, negative public opinion, heartache, divorce, being a mother, it is great to finally see Mariah Carey more focused on music. Music is her peace and her fans are her everything. So to see fans support Mariah with less cronstructive critism or borderline negative, is a great thing to see. I believe she is tired of hearing what everybody thinks, including fans. We have the tendancy to expect perfection. We seem to not appreciate the fact that Mariah Carey is human and she loves to show it. I rather see her show how humanly authentic she is than to act fake or perfect like most other pop stars. People will respond better in the long run because imperfections everyone relates to somehow. Thumbs up to those fans on this post that gave constructive critism while keeping Mariah Carey's positive name intact and not giving in to being all constructive, all the time.

Andrew (48,670) by JAXGH from United States
Actually the reason why she's not being played is because the radio doesn't like the fact that she has 18 number hits in the US, more than Elvis. Notice after Touch My Body she went down. Then miscarriage happened. Also after the horrible performance of "I'll Be There" in 2009 at MJ's funeral (which was watched by the whole US) everyone thought she lost it and and it started going downhill. To say it isn't as good compared to other releases isn't really true. IWTKWLI was #1 in Brazil for 27 weeks (longest in history). MOAIA debuted #1 in countless countries. Her star power is pretty much still the same in other regions except US. Love Story, Migrate, I'll Be Lovin U Long Time, Stay In Love, Up Out My Face, I Wish You Well, For The Record, Last Kiss, Bye Bye, Angels Cry, HATE U, Inseperable, YDKWTD, Heavenly, Supernatural are all artistically excellent records but are all completely foiled and wasted due to lack of promotion and exposure, bleak music videos and low budget production. Also her arm injury hindered her from doing anything. She just needs to work with a better management, a more honest team, great video directors and stop being late. Her voice might have changed but the skills never left. She still is capable of vocal gymnastics and writing/producing amazing records. Also she's a child of God so never doubt her. She will smash everyone with a new fire album. MOAIA is Glitter, MIAM is Charmbracelet. Watch out for the next one.

Delusion (48,669) by RockyRoc from England
Wow, that video that kt posted is amazing, Mariah's singing in the video is definitely above average and more than enough disproves those people who criticised her other recent performance. I think if a delusional obsession exists then a delusional hatred exists too, two equal and opposite forces. Anyway, Mariah is at it again (slaying), but I am a lamb that believes she should tone down the diva, I admit that she does things wrong sometimes, but she has gone through the consequences and I am more than positive about the next year. Merry christmas MC and to the lambs I met at the Mississippi road.

The queen delusion (48,663) by Andrew from UK
The comment that current music listeners just "aren't sophistitcated enough" to appreciate Mariah's songs is a new low for "lamb" excuses. People haven't been playing and buying Mariah's music in the last 5 or 6 years is not because it isnt' good, but because it just isn't that good compared to other releases which can be more catchy (e.g. Taylor Swift) more accessible in it's emotional intent (e.g. Adele). Radio also is not interested in Mariah because all she has done in the past 5 years is relate a terribly boring and aloof persona. Also, putting up recordings of average singing, claiming it to be amazing and having disproved earlier criticism (when it doesn't - and she's still lipping the high parts, but we'll wash over that part and pretend it's not true before the "lambs" start bleating) and then pre-empting the intent of the person who disagrees, is an even lower low. It serves to highlight how desperate the maniacal "lambs" are to do or say anything to pretend nothing is wrong. Essentially to be a "lamb" you have to think Mariah is a "queen" who can never do anything wrong, everyone does things wrong to her, critics are "haters", people who don't like her new music are unsophisticated in their taste (pity the fools for liking accessible, relevant music) and the media are just damn right meanies to poor Mariah Carey for pointing out that she is not performing well (after arrogantly holding everybody up for hours and wasting their time just because she decided to). It's funny how the aggressive "lambs" call everyone who disagrees with their needy standpoint "haters" while spouting the most childish, petulant rubbish. I think "delusional" is too light a word. Peace out.

Mariah (48,660) by B from USA
I read a comment on YouTube this morning that sums up my opinion on the current state of Mariah's career, she's one song away from a comeback. All she needs is a great song and the public will embrace her again and forget the dismal Rockefeller performance.

Otti / show tonight (48,658) by Mara from United States
I was just listening to those same songs along with Looking In and felt they fit Mariah today. She always rises. I can't wait to see MC tonight. We are on our way into the city now to spend the day doing some other things, and top it off with Mariah. It's going to be a magical day and night. I can't wait to be in the same room with this amazing woman once again, along with the Lambily.
