My opinion (42,944) by enwar00 from usa
For me, I don't feel like I have to buy the album or that I'm in any way obligated to do so. I will buy the album because I love Mariah and her music and always find enjoyment in all of her albums and therefore I want to. Whether the album was released in 2012, 2013, 2014 or 2015, I would be buying it. At the end of the day the delay won't matter to me because time rolls by anyway. Mariah doesn't disappoint me with her music and I feel a connection with it. That's just my opinion and how I feel.

Nobody's here for all that noise you keep making about "not buying the album when it drops". Yeah right when we all know you'll be one of the first people to rush out and buy it. Just spare us the headaches for having to hear you say it for the umpteenth time, you're beginning to sound like a broken record.

My money, my choice (42,942) by Marissa from USA
I don't see anything childish about not buying an album if it gets delayed again after we've endured so much mess this era. Unlike Mariah, I'm not worth half a billion dollars so I think before I spend. Many of us have been expecting an album since 2012. I don't have a problem with the album not being ready, I have a problem with her/her team getting our hopes up and dropping us on our behinds constantly. If you know the album isn't ready, don't make us think it is. Apparently some people think that's an unreasonable request. The thing is neither I or anyone else who hasn't been satisfied in this era is dictating what she does because we have no power over her actions. We do have power over how and what we spend our money on. Some of you guys think that no matter how much bs we go through it is our job to spend our money on whatever she does, like it or not. Is this an album purchase or a tithe? I'm not obligated to do anything. Buying an album from a terrible era (if another push back happens) is like giving your waitress a big tip when you didn't even enjoy the meal or the service.

Album title (42,941) by Badr from USA
I agree with that wise person who said people should stop guessing the album title. Most of these guesses are ridiculous.

Album to be entitled "Champagne"? (42,940) by PeterB from UK
I think it would work for several reasons: 1) We all know how festive MC is. 2) We know how much she likes Mimi splashes and moments dahling. 3) The album is about celebrating Mariah's legacy and future.

Push back (42,939) by steven from usa
I'm new to posting but I read the message board every day and I notice a lot of people saying they will not buy the album if it is pushed back. That is childish. How can you dictate when she releases her album? You are treating her like a child. "If you don't release when I say, I'm going to punish you by not buying the album." Come on now that's so ridiculous. Why not support her choice? This is her work not ours. Her albums are gifts to fans because we get to hear the beauty of her voice. Support her.

You aren't slick (42,938) by Marissa from USA
Can someone explain to me why I read an article saying the album is coming out in late May instead of May 6th? If this is a sly pushback, you guys already know what I plan to do (or rather what I plan not to do).

Album (42,937) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I can't wait for more details on the album and its release. Mariah spent so much time on it, I expect really good songs. But more than that I'm just "thirsty" for some new MC songs. I won't bother trying to guess the name of the album, it can be anything, so I'll just wait. I hope the cover is nice and classy. I still am rooting for Beyonce to be the surprise guest star. I think a duet with the two of them can burn the charts down. The Justin Bieber rumour, I don't know if it's true, but even if he is on the album I don't mind as long as he isn't the prized surprise guest. This album is really important for Mariah and I really hope it goes to number one and also that she picks up atleast one number 1 single from this album which will definitely get her back to the top where she deserves to be.

Shezz / Stevie (42,936) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Stevie Wonder is not the surprise guest. Mariah candidly talks about working with Stevie in the Canadian interview. She said that Stevie is on the album but only plays the harmonica, he has no vocals (which is sad, it would have been great if he did sing). Anyways so since that name is already out, the surprise guest has to be someone else.

Webmaster (42,935) by Shezz from Pk
Ok, new here and I didn't know that the webmaster proof reads and changes some words. I actually wrote since he's not listed in the performers in the Billboard article, maybe she means Stevie Wonder is the surprise guest. [Webmaster: If you just write in English, I don't have to change words. "n" and "r" are not words, the same for "cud", "wud" and "cudnt".]

Album title (42,934) by Danny Braden from Uk
The album is about faith and the Lord. That's something so personal to her and she believes hand on heart music has got her through things and the past 5 years have been hard for her including a miscarriage. I think it will be a journey, the hardest one she's ever had to endure.

Album release / special guest (42,933) by Shezz from Pk
Is anybody else concerned about the fact that splitting the album release between digital first and physical week 2 might not give her enough of a first week tally to get her a number 1 album? As we all know sadly Mimi no longer has that large of a fanbase. If some of the lambs wait for the physical cd to purchase it, we could sadly see a low first week total. Secondly, I hope rumours are true and Beyonce is the special guest, but since he's not listed in the guest stars, couldn't it be Stevie Wonder? (Which would be awesome as well.)

Radio play (42,932) by Chicago Lamb from USA
Mariah's back catalogue always garners spins at radio leading up to a new release. It's a way to bring the artist back to the public ear. Happens every album release.

Album title (42,931) by NCredible Nick from USA
Hi everyone. I am new to the message board. According to a recent article that I read, I think Mariah's new album title will something that has to do with the baby grand piano that she purchased from Marylin Monroe at the auction. We knew that she said it's "a possession of her and it's an entity" and the article I read further explained why she purchased the piano. She bought it because it reminded her of her childhood, "It was the only piece of childhood she's ever had. That's why she clings on to it." Anyone else agree? Btw the article was from The Guardian.

Suppose the album is released on Monday (42,930) by Bobby A from United States
What if the album is released as early as Monday? Remember, I was the one that said that she was going to release the album in a different way. And I feel strongly about my next statement. Suppose the special guest star is Beyonce. We all have been hearing about a duet with Beyonce called "Further Up". It would be a great move to capitalize on sales. Even the non-Mariah fan wants to hear these two voices together. I just hope there is a deluxe edition with extra tracks or a DVD. I am looking forward to hearing the Hit-Boy, Mike Will Made It, and R. Kelly tracks. I want to see that #Beautiful remix video with Young Jezzy as well. I am going to buy two copies, one for myself and one for a co-worker. I hope every lamb pledges to do the same to make this album debut at #1. It is time to dethrone Frozen. We can do it. Mariah deserves it after all of the complaining and criticizing we have been doing in the past three years. Like I said before, this is going to be the best album of her career. She has never taken this long to release an album. I have been like addict without my new Mariah music to bump in the car. When the album is released digitally, we need to call up every Top 40-Urban-Rythmic radio station and request that they play Thirsty or other tracks. I am so excited.

On the radio (42,929) by Darryle from USA
This is off topic of what everyone else is talking about but I heard Mariah twice on the radio this weekend. I heard Emotions and ABMB. When they came on I just started jamming out and singing. It made me really happy to hear her. It's a good sign that she's getting played because I live in Japan on a military installation so our radio is top 40 and request. So that means someone out there on base is thinking of Mariah. This just goes to show that Mariah has longevity and a lot of artists don't have that. Half the music on the radio won't be remembered 15 years from now but songs from 95 and 91 are still getting played. I'm happy for Mariah, she's got a legacy and it's long lasting.

JD (42,928) by B from USA
MC should have left JD in 2005. Yes, they wrote Always Be My Baby, We Belong Together, and Don't Forget About Us. I forgot to mention The One from Charmbracelet. He is irrelevant. She needs new producers with fresh ideas and sounds. She needs a real manager like Benny Medina, not one of her friends (Randy and JD). I think she's doing JD's job for him anyways. Trying to help him avoid bankruptcy?

Re: Secret duet (42,925) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
I don't think you should believe anything QueenMC writes. When asked what his sources are, he never answers. On April 16 he said the album was called "Liberation", one day (!) later he said the album was called "Illusions" and he even presented a full tracklist. The same day he told us about a duet with Justin Bieber, called "Swap It Out". On April 18 he knew the album has a Minnie Riperton/The Sherelles sounding. On April 20, he suggested the album was pushed back to July 3. On April 21, he said Mariah has recorded more than 20 songs for the album. On April 25, he said the album is called "Heavenly Existence" and now he tells us the album title and tracklist could change the last minutes. Yeah right, this way he can tell us later that all his fantasies he shared with us were true.

Secret duet (42,924) by QueenMc from Usa, California
A possible secret duet with a certain singer (I won't mention "her" name) may be the lead single to the new album. About the album, title and tracks may change at the last minutes. She still has time to make new decisions. It's a digital release so it's possible to have more then 15 tracks. And the album could be released any day now so lambs get ready. The new era begins now.

To have and not to hold, digital release is a cop out on MC/IDJ part (42,923) by Paul from Usa
In my oppinion an "all at once digital release" is a huge cop out on Mariah's/IDJ part. It's definitely the less risky option at this point in her career. Big bucks go into the production and disbursement of millions of discs, album art. Going digital is just gonna relieve all those expenses, and eventually they'll print physical copies according to sales on iTunes, and other digital outlets. I don't like the idea of digital products. I like having a physical copy of anything I purchase. iTunes may not be around forever. Some people may not have iTunes or access to the digital world. Then what? I just don't understand the logistics of it all. She's saying she's "beyonceing" her release, but not really. This isn't a surprise, it's just another tally on the disappointments and let downs we've been given. We've been waiting for a new album for years. Things keep changing. We still do not have a release date, for all we know it will be delayed until Christmas.

No secret at all (42,922) by Orkun from The Netherlands
I personally do think the album was gonna pushed back, but the overload of criticism made them change their mind. This is not a secret release. The only secret is the album title, cover and single. For the record, not only pop music is marketing influenced but everything. Every genre. They released a promo video of her well deserved accomplishments. Isn't this marketing too? I'm happy it gets released. Truly. I just miss the honesty. JD was nervous during his last interview and to me, it felt like he didn't support her choices but he just simply followed orders. I didn't feel his confidence. Trying to prove she could still sing with TAOLG? What kind of a statement is that? It's like hanging a big poster in a public place that says "everybody knows that smoking is bad". If so, why the poster if you believe everybody knows it?

Billboard / QueenMC (42,920) by Bill from the UK
Hey all. I just wanted to say what a stunning shot that is of Mariah on the cover of Billboard magazine. I think I prefer it in black and white as it really works with the bold yellow lettering. She looks beautiful as always. QueenMC, please, you've been dropping hints about the album for a while now. If you are indeed privy to its content and title, please don't spoil the surprise for those of us waiting for Mariah's official announcement. We all saw how upset she was when the original TAOLG title was leaked.

3 Things (42,919) by OGmattyICE from US
Just trying to be brief. 1. Stop guessing album title. 2. I hope a single is released with a music video already filmed so it can be streamed as well on Vevo and YouTube. 3. This Beyonce comparison is an insult. Media should know better. I love my queen.
