The truth isn't hating. She didn't sound good. I wasn't expecting perfect or 90s vocals, but I did want decent. She's had plenty of moments where she has sounded better with her current vocals. That just wasn't it. I do hope for the best with the benefit concert though.

She needs to sing live and give whatever voice she had left and just go through it. She can lower the key, and adjust the arrangement to suit her current voice. I know she can do it. She doesn't have to sing like the record, just take her time with the song and sing. The return of the voice.

Acapella / piano for the benefit special (93,381)

I would suggest for Mariah to sing Through The Rain (acapella or piano version) for the Elton John's Virtual All-Star Benefit Special. Imagine Mariah wearing tank top and jeans and belting the final chorus of Through The Rain. It would go viral.

It's not the worst thing she's ever done. She sounds decent, I don't see the big deal. She does tend to get carried away sometimes though, like when she put us all to sleep while singing happy birthday to Sharon Osbourne.

This is a nice idea. But, please, America, when this is all over, no Hollywood movie(s).
*cue deep 80's movie trailer voice*
"In a year where coronavirus has decimated the global population, one man stands alone to smash the shit out of everything. And save his little girl. This year, Dwayne Johnson is: THE VIRUS KILLERRRRR"
I bet they're planning it already. Maybe Mariah can have a part as his pissed off therapist who won't cut him a check.

Come on, it was weird. For the life of me I do not understand why Mariah just cannot stand still and sing a bloody song the way it's supposed to be sung without making it some sort of skit. The whistle register section was not pleasant to listen to, the head voice slowing the song down to new levels of awkwardness, and the low notes produced by some sort of guppy fish mouth. She could have just sung the few lines she had to in a normal voice and the world would have moved on. Only modern Mariah could [censored] up He's Got The Whole World In His Hands. Jesus wept.

Personally I did not think M would take part in the challenge. In [my] opinion I think our queen made Mariah, and honestly I was not disappointed at all. Those who were I will say you win some, you lose some.

Article: "Greatest Hits" already? (93,375)
by Courtney from USA
| |
|
|
Uh Columbia released Mariah's Greatest Hits after she had left the label so she had no say so in it. As for the others it's an easy way to make money particularly around the holiday season to release a greatest hits album and many of them had had more than enough hit singles to do so when they did #1's was released to tide fans over while Glitter was in development as was Rainbow when the film got postponed to its eventual September 21st 2001 release date in the US. Paul McCartney and Wings did something similar in the 1970's after 6 albums and a live album a greatest hits album was released in November 1978 their 7th studio album was released June 8th 1979 or Curb Records released Tim McGraw's first greatest hits album in November 2000 he had had 21 top 10 hits up until then 12 of them #1's that's on the hot country songs chart.

Is the secret out with Kelly, Arian JoJo and Tori? (93,374)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
What is up with JoJo, Tori, Ariana and Kelly doing these MC song covers? Could it be that MC is planning an album similar to Luther Vandross' So Amazing and Aretha's Jewels In The Crown. If so, it would make perfect sense to go along with I Had A Vision Of Love. I did hear Kelly say in her video that she needs the backing track for Vanishing to be sent to her in Montana. I hope my feeling of a tribute album comes true.

Easy. The left one cost 90 million. And the right one cost 110 million. Because it's slightly bigger.

Was her net worth ever that high? I have only read about 300 million so far. Not sure if this includes real estate and her catalogue.

Don't believe everything you read online. According to Mariah's prenup when she married Nick, she was worth 150 millions. These magazines and websites keep pulling numbers out of their ass.

How has Mariah's net worth gone from 520 millions to 320 millions in two years? Is her life that extravagant? Will Mariah go bankrupt in a couple of years?

Article: Mariah Carey - Breakdown (93,368)
by Lainsky from Philippines
| |
|
|
When this song was released in 1998 I was hoping Mariah to score another No.1 after "Butterfly" became disqualified to chart due to its new rules back then. Only to be disappointed again when released "Breakdown" like Butterfly, just for airplay and not as a commercial single. I believe it is one of her best work that needs to be given justice too like Glitter. It was ahead of time anyway and when I listen to it, it sounds so modern and fresh. Hope they would also make a move for #JusticeForBreakdown.

Yes, you're an SJW - seriously the biggest threat to humanity this generation has and will every face. Try to find meaning in your life, other than siphoning off energy from other people by finding something to make you feel important and good about yourself. You find heroism by seeing victims when there aren't. You are a spoiled brat without a real cause. Please find something more meaningful in your life and not infect ours.
