If it was me (87,647) by Dove from United States I always try to put myself in the position of "if it was me" and if I was a world famous celebrity and I was being blackmailed I think I would just go with it and embrace the narrative. I wouldn't let anyone blackmail me into concealing a part of me that is or was real. I think about people who are icons like Elvis, The Beatles, Marilyn Monroe, The Kennedy's; even recent ones like Amy Winehouse and Britney - what makes them interesting are the grittier parts that are embarrassing but also make them feel human to us. A No No (87,645) by We are Lambily from USA I don't know if it's true but a guy who has some kind of connection with Lil Kim said he heard the track with a couple of DJs and that Cardi B is on it. I don't hear it but apparently that video that leaked with the director "who is a hot deal since he is also working on Meek and Drake video for their single", some hear Cardi B but I did hear a whistle note. Caution (87,640) by anonymous from UK Since Christmas and the whole festive period has thankfully left us (sorry to be a Scrooge, I just wasn't feeling it this season haha), I'm back to my usual routines, with an added guest - the album, Caution. I literally listen to it at least once a day. I loved it at first listen and it seems to get better the more I listen. The album length is perfect; I neither want more nor less, and it feels like a finished story by the albums close. It feels to me like a novel; the only other MC album I've felt that way about is Butterfly. And just like Butterfly, Caution is a novel I want to reread time and time again. Love it. To hell with charts, whether fans or MC herself cares about them, I don't give a damn anymore. I'll listen to what makes me happy or what I love, and Caution ticks those boxes and many more. Whereas I won't judge or even give a damn what she does in private, the sanctimonious public-at-large who have never put a toe wrong in their lives will be baying for blood. I'm sure we all here have done things were aren't proud of or had dark periods in our lives. I'd rather we keep it loving forward as the past can't be changed. Mariah and Nick fell apart because Nick couldn't keep his mouth shut and she saw it as a threat to her bubble. Stella came when she was in a very low point (probably in major depression and her bipolar medications would need adjustment) and probably filled her head with her women-empowerment-single-moms-rule speech and liked how she was unapologetic toward her acts so she definitely was drowned into her. She saw something in her just like she saw something in Tommy despite everyone warnings and repeated the same destructive behavior. I know that's just speculation and theories, but it's just my 2 cents. (Saturday 19 January 2019; 08:33)

I don't know if that would destroy her career but it would definitely be a scandal that she is vigilantly trying to avoid thus the lawsuit. Also, we have to consider the public perception of her to determine the impact that a sex tape would have. For example, if Cardi B had a sex tape leak it would be talked about but it would technically be "on brand" since her image is usually pretty explicit and even vulgar at times. Just like how her career either wasn't affected or was boosted by the Nicki Minaj fight. It was aligned with her brand so it wasn't considered to be that deep. Mariah shows her cleavage but she still has class about her and is considered the Queen of Christmas, so I don't know if she would face the same immunity that another celebrity would if that happened to them. Same thing with her vocal scandals. Any other celebrity could sound a hot mess and it wouldn't make big news, but because the standard for Mariah was so high due to her track record, the New Years and mic feed scandals were pretty damaging to her reputation at the time. I've already prayed that whatever the evidence is that it won't be leaked so I'm going to have faith in that. She is making so much progress and I don't want anything to derail it. Random thoughts (87,630) by Dove from United States When Mariah first hired Stella some were saying right away she was bad news based on the Illuminati jewelry. I was happy Mariah was getting new representation and gave Stella the benefit of the doubt. How could we judge a person based on a few pictures? I figured Mariah wouldn't hire her if she sensed anything was off. Looking back at that time, Mariah was having a lot of weird moments. She looked stoned at the Walmart shareholders concert, the wearing of lingerie out in public, just odd behavior. Some pointed out that Stella seemed as though she was trying to be a star and I didn't see anything wrong with that. If I were famous and my friends wanted to be famous, I would help them out. After watching Mariah's World though, I see it differently. They made a comment on how Stella tries to sue everyone and she just seems mean and abusive. She doesn't seem like a person who is loyal (to anyone but her children) or with a strong moral compass. Then that report came out about the hairdresser being caught at the airport with tons of prescription drugs. She wasn't that great of a hairdresser either. I don't think the recordings are sex tapes because Mariah is older and so are her fans. That wouldn't be so damaging. I think it's recordings of her using drugs and acting like a fool. Anna-Nicole Smith style. I still don't want to see them, I want to see Mariah doing well and succeeding. Mariah met Stella through Brett Ratner and I've never trusted him because the videos he makes with her are not good. Someone who cares about you won't let you look bad and charge you tons of money for it. (She can and has made good videos: Fantasty, AIWFCIY, Honey, the MSG concert, UOMF.) I think they're all a bunch of coke heads who saw a jackpot in Mariah who I see as a vulnerable person even though she's not a girl anymore. (Saturday 19 January 2019; 04:12)

I mean a grown woman "holding someone down and peeing on them". What the hell. Makes you think someone has to be on something to do that. And do it more than once too. I hope Mariah learned a lesson this time as it's costing her a lot of money and she keeps her clothes on in front of the "help" anymore and maybe not even have too much to drink around them either as there are cell phones that capture everything now. Seems like after Stella's lawsuit was announces that it was settled, the blackmail must have came to a head with the PA. Stella better hang on to Kelsey Grammer because I don't know how many people are in line to work with her with stories like these. It doesn't make Mariah look too good either sorry to say. I can only conclude that Mariah surrounds herself with these wax museum escapees because she sees them as kindred spirits, and that is dark, dark thought. It tells us a great deal about how she really perceives herself. Quite honestly I think Mariah chooses these kind of people precisely because they so obviously embody falseness and superficiality, the plastic faces tip her off.
