I listen to both Christmas albums all year. I don't need any excuse. AIWFCIY is my jam.

Todd those are hands down my favorite Christmas CDs as well. They are all so good. The only other one I even own is Vanessa Williams. It's too early for me though. Yet now I feel inclined to hear them all. Great, thanks a lot for that. I'll try to wait at least until November.

Pre-order surprise (85,009)

Is it a bonus track with Britney Spears? I'm not sure if y'all are aware but BS was on Ellen a few days ago saying she was there to make an announcement that she's gonna make an announcement on 10/18. I wonder if it's something related to Mariah. Haha. Wishing thinking.

Finally (85,007)

I happy that our Archives family is finally having some light-hearted fun moments again, because as of lately the energy here has been very tense but again with family we will have our disagreements, and challenges but as long as we come and realize our reason for why we come here and continue to use this outlet for its purpose without disrespecting each other everything will always come back to love.

I broke the seal (85,006)
by Todd from Melbourne, Australia

Yesterday I had the MC playlist on Spotify on shuffle. AIWFCIY came on. Normally I'd hit next. But given Christmas stuff is already everywhere here in Melbourne (and it's nudging 30C/85F - which despite the lyrics in all the songs is very much Christmas weather), I figured why the hell not. I enjoyed it. I smiled. I felt Christmassy. However - it's October. I am a bit of a Christmas freak, but usually hold out until mid-end November before busting out the Buble-Clarkson-Carey combo otherwise I'm sick to death of it by December 25. So now I fear that I've opened a can of festive worms and now it's the beginning of the end. Christmas music wise, at least.

I hope no one took your post seriously. That was hilarious to me. Can you imagine arguing with someone about Mariah's most mature title for real? The other person: Her album titles are so childish. Me: Not true hater. The other person: Name one mature title. Me: Charmbracelet b*tch. *starts singing Clown as I walk off with a straight face*

If that was directed towards me, I knew you were joking, and I thought it was funny too, I was just "stanning" for "Butterfly" a little. Just clearing it up.

While "Charmbracelet", "Rainbow" and "Glitter" were quite childish album titles, I think "Butterfly" was the perfect album title for that album. It signified her metamorphosis, her finally being free emotionally and also free to experiment with her sound and do the kind of music she wished to do. It also signified her change in her music videos and her personal style. That album title truly represented Mariah and her music at that point of time.

My first thought of the album cover was it reminds me of an comic. Because of the colours. Like superwoman. But I like it too.

Music Box was a brilliant title for an album that you had to buy in a cassette or CD case: literally a "music box". And Mariah was also on the cover of it, rather than the cartoon of that woman she asks to fill in for her now. Oh my gosh, look at me being stuck in 1993 this month. I might stick myself in 1998 next month before we all stick ourselves in 1994 at Christmas.

I love it. But just one question: who is it? Mariah used to have herself on the album covers. Now she had cartoons of this other woman. Just wondering who it is? Anyone know?
