Re: AMA confirmation (84,025) (84,040) by Lara from Middle East
Exactly. I miss that Mariah. She seemed to have fun during her performance. I d rather having her miss the notes than missing her presence. Maybe she was going through a (hypo)manic episode back then.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey on date night with boyfriend Bryan Tanaka (84,033) (84,039) by Bill from the UK
It is odd that she cannot move without a system of hoists, pulleys, dancers and chaise lounges. And then when she does manage to walk unaided for a few yards, we praise her like it's some massive achievement.

Article: Mariah Carey on date night with boyfriend Bryan Tanaka (84,038) by Kelley Keenan from USA
I think she only does it when she knows she is going to be photographed and doesn't want to risk falling. Her heels and the uneven streets/sidewalks are a recipe for disaster.

Listening party (84,037) by Shezz from Pk
So last night was the album listening party at Craig's. Confirmed by Shawn's tweet. It's ready. Wrapped up packed up, ribbon with a bow on it.

Webmaster: Why do you hate exclamation marks? They are not grammatically incorrect. [Webmaster: Because people use them too much, like five or ten at the end of a sentence.]

She doesn't do it all the time though. There are plenty of pictures of her walking without support as well. Must be the weed? Must be the he-E-l. Let her be. We pick on enough things about her anyway.

Re: Nick Cannon shocks on Mariah's secrets (84,032) (84,034) by RibbonB from USA
Yes, he was very respectful and he always speaks well of Mariah even in the touchy subjects that affected him, that she never deals with any more at least. Lots of people interview with Vlad, although I can't stand him as an interviewer, based off of other interviews that he has conducted. Nick into appear on the new season of TV One's Uncensored. That should be interesting as it goes in depth into a persons upbringing, career etc. Tiffany Haddish's episode was very touching and revealing. I hope they include some rare footage of the three kids.

Am I the only one who is ashamed when I see that Mariah can not walk alone?

Re: Nick Cannon shocks on Mariah's secrets (84,030) (84,032) by Licia from USA
While I agree he does talk alot, he didn't say anything wrong. He actually took up for Mariah and didn't take the bait when Vlad was trying get him to say she was having episodes. I thought he was informative while still being respectful to her and her situation. Sone of the stuff he talked about we already knew. Such as Mariah living in a bubble to protect herself. Y'all actually need to watch part nine so you can hear it for yourself and make your own judgement of what he was saying. The way Shelia described it makes it seem as if he just went in telling all her business and that's not what I got from this.

Re: Nick Cannon shocks on Mariah's secrets (84,030) (84,031) by RibbonB from USA
It's funny how you didn't post any receipts. Those Vlad interviews are not new and he was responding about how those guys came at him during the marriage, or after the separation. Perhaps if Mimi could keep her former friends in check hersell. Nick bore the brunt of a lot of her old drama, imo. Let's hope the usual suspects don't reappear to drag the paid escort in this new era. It probably wouldn't be any fun for them.

Nick Cannon shocks on Mariah's secrets (84,030) by Sheila from United States
Nick Cannon has been making the rounds: talking about Stella's extortion attempt, Mariah being bipolar, if Mariah slept with Eminem and Cam'ron and living with a diva and why she lives in a bubble. I'm not sure if I like all this information, he's got a very big mouth. Two interviews (1) Mariah Carey part 9 and another interview Vlad Tv. Very interesting interviews.

Re: AMA confirmation (84,025) (84,029) by Licia from USA
I've never watched any of the Jamaica thing besides the Fantasy flub. She was feeling VOL. She had something that she needed to get off her chest. Lol. This is the first time that I've seen a performance of Beautiful where she looked as if she enjoyed herself. Cannibisriah singing VOL may knock out Drunkriah singing Heartbreaker as my favorite Mariah under the influence moment.

Nervousness (84,028) by Malcolm from Asia
I can understand why Mariah suddenly became nervous on stage. I mean just the fact that she recently admitted that she have bipolar disorder makes sense why. I also think she's aware that her ability declined so it's harder for her to live up with the expectations and there's this other side where she still wants the spotlight, making music, etc. She's unstoppable and confident in the 90's and mid 2000's because she knows that the talent were there 100% backing her up. At the end of the day, if she's nervous then she's nervous, because she's just human and now it is up to us if we will still support her.

Re: Mariah's voice and breath control (83,981) (84,027) by 90sMariah from SG
Then don't wear them. If the corsets and the heels are the huge causes of her not being able to sing well, then stop wearing them. I don't care if she has to walk on stage barefoot if she'd be able to sing half as decent as she used to then just do it. Ugh.

Re: Can we talk about WBT? (84,001) (84,026) by 90sMariah from SG
She didn't lip the end? Ooh-kaaaay. It's really getting embarrassing how she signs herself up to these big live events and just half-ass it like her previous showing. Again - if you're going to lip sync your songs, better lip sync the bish out of it. At this point, a drag performer lip syncs and performs better than her. Take GTFO, it's a new song and she didn't even bother to sing it live or re-record a version for her to sing "live". Embarrassing. Stop enabling her.

Re: AMA confirmation (84,012) (84,025) by 123 from USA
Forget the splash, she needs the fragrance she inhaled for her Jamaica concert. It's her best worst concert ever. I not so secretly love it. She lets loose vocally for once instead of playing it same and showing restraint, takes off her shoes, and is a bit comical on stage. Probably the best #Beautiful performance. I like how she's so into her live vocal that she forgets the pre record moments twice-lol and off were her shoes. Here are some other highlights. I prefer Cannabisriah over Pinot Mimi anyday lol.

Re: AMA confirmation (84,019) (84,024) by Shezz from Pk
You of all people need not be convinced that she's lost her vocals largely and has become more and more insecure about it as the years have gone by. She probably freaks out about how she sounds in front of other performers (most industry people still see her as a vocal legend and an inspiration) and a crowd that hasn't really come to see her (which she has mentioned in the past). Though she doesn't sound all that much better in her own concerts you can still see her much more at ease then. With all the positive changes she has made in recent months I don't believe she hasn't tried to make an effort with her voice because she does put it front and center a lot these days. Maybe it's just beyond her control. Let's just appreciate whatever she's still giving us. I do believe she's put her all into this album and wish her the best. Always.

Re: With you (84,021) (84,023) by Bobby A from United States
I love MC. But she better go on vocal rest for 3 days before the AMA performance of Someday and With You. The whole world will be watching and waiting for her to mess up. But I believe she will show up and show out. MImi forget about all that junk and mishaps in the past. Get up on that stage and slay. The cards are just right for her to open the show with Someday and move right into With You. We probably will get the album title and tracklisting the next day or so.

Barbra Streisand suffers from nerves when performing. Most performers have admitted to it because they are only human. I mention Barbra as she is a legend as well.

Re: With you (84,002) (84,021) by Andrew from UK
I, for one, think the title "With You" puts a shit load of pressure on the song. It is, essentially, the opposite of "Without You". Actually, it could just be an updated "Without You" as another "[censored] you, you cheated" song. "I can't liiiiive, if living is with yooooou".

Re: AMA confirmation (84,012) (84,019) by Andrew from UK
Please make me understand, what is Mariah nervous about, all of a sudden? She has performed a lot in her life. I have never in my life heard of an international superstar who, suddenly, got nervous and craps herself on stage. This seems to be nonsense. I'm at a loss.

Re: GTFO on the charts? (84,005) (84,018) by jaker20 from US
It's possible. Cher got the biggest hit and album of her career in her 50s. Mariah however came out with a bang and burned out creatively in her 40s. Cher's career was a real sprint and came out with spectacular shows in her 60s and just last year at 71 at the Grammys. So it's possible. She needs to leave behind that diva big vocals career, and focus on her songwriting and production-based performances. Preserve that in history and time to express her art in another way.

Re: AMA confirmation (84,012) (84,017) by jaker20 from US
It's only a good promo if she can actually deliver. Otherwise, she's better off dropping the album and I bet it will be a hit based on her name alone. It may not be a massive hit but at least not an embarrassment. It's the same as her video. If she can't put together a good video, she's better off not making one. Because it creates an opposite effect if you can't deliver.

AMA and lack of effort in performing (84,016) by jaker20 from US
It's only a good promo if she can really perform. Otherwise, it actually hurts whatever she is promoting. Why can't she do something similar to that It's Like That at VH1? It was not dependent on her vocals but people don't mind. Because they had fun. It was about putting on a show and a good production that seem like she actually prepared for it. Not just stand on a corner and lip notes we all know she can't reach.
