Re: "Rainbow" era (81,527) (81,530) by Bill from the UK
It was my most disliked Mariah track until Boy came along and rocketed to the top of the charts. Then it’s been helped by recent gems like Why You Mad and Crapfinity and Infamous. So it’s still in the top ten somewhere lol. For me it upset the more serious/reflective mood of the second half of the album and probably would have been better received by me had it been on the A side (showing my age with that comment lol).

No you're not. I love it too. It's really an untypical Mariah song. The chorus is a little crazy and so on, but it's great with the lyrics and the vibe.

Yes, let the ring go. I wish for the best for all concerned actually, but real self reflection is required for healing, not just superficial patch and replace and rent a date. And definitely no more petty dress burnings, lol.

You're not the only one. Rainbow is my favorite album, and "Did I Do That" is the best song on that album. I can't understand why so many fans hate that song.

I must be the only lamb who love "Did I do That". One of my favorite tracks on the album, behind Heartbreaker remix.

Re: "Rainbow" era (81,521) (81,525) by Bill from the UK
Great post. Rainbow is underrated I think mainly for being the second verse to Butterfly. Tough act to follow really. It's an album I don't usually turn to but when I'm there, I'm loving it. Every track on that album is a winner (except Did I Do That of course), and as you've said, the remixes were fantastic. I was at first nervous after hearing that she stepped away from David Morales for Heartbreaker's club mixes, but Junior Vasquez did a great job. The accompanying tour was also great. I was there in London's Wembly Arena. Not as great as the London stop of the Daydream tour but then, what was?

Packer breakdown (81,523) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
This story actually surfaced last week. Packer has been going through something's for a while now not just personally but also professionally as well as financially. I think everything has become overwhelming and he needs to take sometime recharge, and refocus. Honestly mental health issues are nothing to play around with, hopefully Packer can get the much needed resources that he needs.

Mimi's shoes were too dang clunky though.

"Rainbow" era (81,521) by Billy from Greece
Just a reminder that the "Rainbow" era boasts some of Mariah's hottest remixes. While many feel that "Rainbow" is not her strongest work, she was really creative with the songs and samples she used, ultimately creating a fully enjoyable body of work. I'm living for a deluxe anniversary edition of "Rainbow" that will have the "Love Hangover" and "If You Should Ever Be Lonely" versions of "Heartbreaker", the "Make It Last Remix" of "TGIFY" and the "Triumphant Revival Mix" of "CTTA" all in one place. Mind you that all of these remixes have new vocals, so if you take them as a whole, the studio album plus these remixes, you have a truly satisfying album to cherish for days.

Re: Take a breath everybody (81,517) (81,520) by virgo.miss from australia
Yes perhaps we Antipodeans take things a little less seriously, but I've always seen Andrew as venting his frustrations over someone he knows could be doing so well, but constantly makes poor choices. If M doesn't get her act together, she won't have the opportunity to make more music, and the music is what we all want.

"Mimi acts like she is just skating along after three years of self imposed mess." So true. I also hope her "help" won't be seen and heard no more. Oh, I guess Mr. Packer is like many rich persons a lonely one. If he has a real depression, that's bad. More and more people, famous and normal ones get that illness. Mimi please let that ring in your house or anyway. Mariah shines without diamonds.

Packer breakdown (81,518) by RibbonB from USA
Wow big news and rather sad. Packer resigned the helm of his businesses for health reasons. Supposedly at some clinic for depression. Supposedly he had been begging his ex wife and children's mother to reconcile. Hopefully that's why Mimi wasn't wearing that silly ring while at KCA with Nick and the kids. Perhaps a sign of compassion. Mimi acts like she is just skating along after three years of self imposed mess. I hope she doesn't get a rude awakening from the past or present "help" Stella and team and the creative dancer.

Take a breath everybody (81,517) by Todd from Sydney, Australia
How about we all just calm the eff down, take a breath, hold hands and sing Kumbaya? Or given where we are, "There's Got To Be A Way". Y'all are getting worked up over Andrew, but the reality is that 99% of the time, he's just saying what Mr and Mrs Joe Public are saying/thinking. It's very clear that he doesn't "hate" Mariah, he's just a bit disappointed with her of late (correct me if I'm wrong, Emmerdale). It's all just banter, so everybody zip it, pour a wine and watch Wisegirls.

I fell out seeing Nick in that orange fat suit. They had the right person for that job because he's so dang goofy. Lol. It would have been super hilarious if Mariah had worn the same outfit as Nick and Roc. Wearing that is outside of the box for her. It would have been a nice funny surprise. I did enjoy their big Sandy and little Sandy from Grease ensembles though.

Re: Kid's Choice Awards (81,514) (81,515) by RibbonB from USA
Lol, no those fits are cute on Roc and Nick, but there is a big orange bubble suit they had Nick in as a presenter for the show. He looked like he would topple over. Roe slayed them all. Imagine if Mimi wore Roe's flat boots.

The fact that Nick and Roc were in "5-day Vomit" costumes doesn't give you the right to say they looked ridiculous, they just looked horrible, lol. I love the fact they're doing the best to be there for their kids, and they're letting them be kids. I must say that Mariah is looking radiant and Roe is following in her mother footsteps, but I hope she actually learn how to walk in high heels when the time comes, lol.

The album stakes are much higher this around (81,511) by Bobby A from United States
I wonder why during the recording of this new album Mariah has only posted two pictures of her in the studio with no one else in the studio. During the recording of Me I Am Mariah, she posted pictures [of] who she was in the studio with every week. Does she realize the album stakes are much higher this time around? Does she know that this is truly her last shot to be back on top? Did she realize that Me I Am Mariah was unsuccessful because too much was posted about who she was working [with] and constant changing of the expected album completion date. She hasn't officially said 2018 or 2019. Or did Jay Z have a heart to heart talk about keeping the recording process posts of this RocNation release at a mininum? Let's hope she is putting her everything into this new album just like she did [with] Daydream and Butterfly. I want [an] album that is fresh and innovated yet Mariah. I want her to step outside of the box and give the buying public and radio songs that will put her back on top of the charts. She deserves to have a number 1 album and song again. Call Babyface up please. I find it promising that even JD doesn't know nothing about who she is working with. He was asked last week in a tweet and he replied nothing. She should take the Beyonce approach and when the album is ready just drop it without any official release date.

This year was even cuter than last year. I don't know how that's possible. Everyone looked great and happy. The matching outfits were even cuter. M looked even better this year. Really radiant and happy. I always love the family moments.

The outfits were super cute. Roc and Roe looked like they were enjoying themselves. As always I give much respect to both Nick and Mariah for trying to make as many positive memories for their children as they can.
