Mariah could definitely do the song justice, her lower registers are criminally overlooked by both fans and critics. However, I would prefer Mariah and Babyface write a proper duet for her and Toni. Do I think this post was Mariah confirming the rumors or just trolling? Personallly, I could see this working Mariah sings the song in her lower registers and it's a well written song. I'd add The Roof, Whenever You Call, You're So Cold, Forever, and Petal to the list as well. I would go back to Vegas just to see her perform Slipping Away, lol. Or any of these songs, honestly. She could have Toni record it again with her. That song fits in Mariah range, it's full of soul and emotions, it has that 90s sound to it, but with some updated sound it can easily sound perfect for a ballad in 2018. What do you all think? So, I am just wondering has MC considered collaborating with Kirk Franklin, Greg Curtis, or Warryn Campbell for the new album. I am tweeted her about working with Kirk Franklin. She has been really quiet since the JD, Johnta Austin, and Bobby Avila Instagram post. Lambs, the album is coming this year. This Fall's music releases is going to be huge. It's a beautiful song that has Mariah written all over it even Faith's delivery I'm guessing is very close to the original. Hoping Mariah's version is unearthed someday soon.
