Re: New memoirs (81,835) (81,840)

I just want to see if she would honestly speak about the decline of her voice and what really happened in her divorce from Nick. When she divorced TM she never hesitated to speak about what happened. With Nick she's been really quiet and don't think she's being quiet just due to her kids. I mostly want that voice discussion though. I know legally she probably can't talk about what happened with Brenda K. Starr, her sister, her brother, Walter Alka-Seltzer, or Stella Whositwhatit and her traveling freakshow.

Damizza spills tea (81,838)

Damizza's revelation is what should be in the forthcoming memoir book. On YouTube. Suicide allegations, an alleged ride to the hospital, alleged physical abuse. Wendy should be sipping this on Monday.

I watched it. The where was a restaurant. The rest of your questions I can sum up in these words: This is the consequence of successful women letting unsuccessful men with questionable characters into their lives. This man is stuck in 2001 because Mariah foolishly annexed him into her life and paid his way with no regard to the outcome. You can't just pull the rug out after that and assume that a person with no identity or success of their own is just going to gladly fade into obscurity. Ultimately, he doesn't really care if Mariah is using her Bipolar Disorder to gain sympathy, true or not. He just wants to once again have his name in connection to hers. No other reason seems plausible. Nothing he has to say about Mariah ever leads me to believe that he should still have something to say about her or has unfinished business with her over 10 years later. So if she is using it for sympathy why care? Her business not his. He just wants to relive the connection anyway possible. Still, he's great insight into Mariah's current dumbass's future.

The memoirs will likely not be an expose. There will be huge legal ramifications if she did a tell all. She has said in many interviews she cannot go into the details around what went on due to confidentiality agreements etc. I have always been interested in her rise to the top and her early years. What “Mirage” was doing every evening, how she was working with Gavin and Ben and Brenda before the record deal, the wood shop, the song writing, the demos. We know enough from what followed afterwards.

I think the lambs are responsible themselves for creating this world around Mariah in which really dark things happen, where she is bullied and tormented etc. She won't write a tell-all book at any point because she will need evidence for any allegations she makes of face libel charges and hefty pay-outs. And given her recent revelations of bi-polar II disease, her accounts may need to be held up to even more scrutiny, so a book going hand-in-hand with the revelation is the worst decision.

Why is R rated the only story of value? Authenticity is always appreciated whatever it is. The issue is she just started therapy if she has actually started. This hairball idea seems too much too soon after the initial announcement. Not to mention she has teased about memoirs many times. Years ago she was trying to sell the idea for no less than 5 million, but didn't get that offer. She seems to want to glorify her life with reality shows, self produced biopics and now a new memoir. A good authentic record could be a good start.

Trey is on Mariah's payroll. He takes care of keeping his checks coming in by being one of those who just shuts his mouth and go with the flow, I wouldn't necessarily call that a true friend. He's more like an acquaintance. You see Trey on Mariah's shows, you very rarely see them hanging out together. He's been loyal to her in a way, like he would be there if need be, but a friend that would call her out on stupid shit she does, he isn't. He and Mary Ann get paid whether they're working with her on the road or just sitting at their homes. To a certain extend, I don't blame them for not risking their income. They've seen the train-wreck she's been on but you just see them happy in the background. And these are not speculations, these things I know for a fact. Anthony has been the closest to a friend I have seen around Mariah in the past three years, and look where he ended up. At the end of the day, only Mariah can get on her own healing path. Like they say, you can't change what you don't acknowledge. Now that she's finally acknowledged publicly she's bipolar and her struggle with it, I think she's on the right path.

The only way the memoirs will be of true value is if Mariah goes into that rated R dark place she's eluded too in the past. A true honest account. However as long as she wants a career in the pop world she probably can't write that kind of book. That's why I would hope she just starts the writing of the book but doesn't actually release it until she's well into her sixties and has no more industry ties or pressures to appear a certain way. For now just give us honest and open music that can act as a therapeutic outlet in the same way.

In terms of promotion I believe it'd be a good move to publish a book and release an album at the same time. I don't know if that's ever been done but it would be cool. it would also emphasize on Mariah, the writer, singer-songwriter. Whatchuguysthink ?

I'm all for the writing of a book, but only if it will give us new information. Real, honest, deep dirt. I mean for fans like us, we know basically everything there is to know. I have a feeling this will be for the masses, and just a regurgitation of what she's already censored and talked about in her more serious and personal interviews, ie Barbara Walters, Oprah, Charlie Rose, etc.

I will have to respectfully disagree with you. Tommy Mattola whole agenda was to create an image and someone who he could control and that became stifling personally as well as professionally. If you had someone dictating your every move day in and day out at some point you would need to get away and find a piece of mind. Both Mariah and Tommy benefited from each other during their time together I will say that but he just became overbearing. As far people in her life Trey has stayed around longest but Maryanne has been there since Butterfly, Brat has been around since Daydream, she's still friends with Josefine, her nephew Shawn is still very much in her corner and I know even though we do not see her in plain sight all the time Mama Pat is very much apart of her daughters life. Also Ms Patti said she speaks with MC at least twice a month. On another note every high profile entertainer has horror stories about people coming in and out of their lives not just MC.

Well in the latest pictures she's still wearing the "engagement ring". I'm not sure anything will really change. I hope I'm wrong because if she still acts the same way she has in the last few years (illness or no illness) people are going to give up on her once and for all. She has to basically go back to her Musicbox, Daydream personality, which was heavily contrived and controlled but it was very acceptable in the public eye. Hopefully the truth she's bared will give her the comfort to just be humble and nice again. On the other hand if she's not sticking with her treatment in the future she may accidentally slip back into her erratic behavior. It explains Daydream's Grammy fight night and the wild bursts with Tommy. I'm sure Tommy's control and stressful behavior didn't help and probably set off her condition but if she wasn't prone to Bipolar in the first place there may be a chance the two of them would still be married to this day. She fled to save her sanity. But was it her sanity that was getting in the way in the first place? She hasn't been able to have long lasting relationships at all. Be it family or friends. I remember when it was said she kicked her long serving manager out of a moving car. The longest relationship I can gather is her and Trey Lorenz. I would love to hear what he has to say and how he has maintained himself on Mariah's good side.

You're not paying attention to the actual lyrics. She flat out ignores this silly man. But Obsessed is more his song lyric. He's delusional and confused. "She's a press conference, he's a conversation."

Very shocking indeed. She talks about every useless tabloid article about her and does not discuss this major news that came straight from Mariah herself. If she wanted to she could easily have put her negative Wendy spin on it like some other people did.

The only problem I have with getting a memoir from Mariah is that it may turn into a fairytale. I don't expect her to get too gritty, but I don't want it to be a watered down story either. Tell us something that you haven't shared with us a million times before. Even with her now being able to speak about her illness publicly, I don't think she's fully at a point where she'll talk about certain things.

Special K. I would love to see you kicking Morgan. Haha. Honestly Mariah's siblings are so terrible. Mariah should stay away from them, they sold her out for money. That's heartless, pathetic and inexcusable. It's true Mariah never said anything bad about them. She kept her pain private. She helped more than she had to. With siblings like them, I'm happy that I've grown up as an only child. If Mariah can ban all fake people and "energy vampires" she will feel fantastic. I believe good times are to come. And if she's really working with her heart and soul on new music it will be a new masterpiece.

Most divas, including Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, Donna Summer and others published a memoirs around their thirtieth anniversary in the business. Toni Braxton has already released one a couple of years ago. This is something that back in the Charmbracelet era Mariah mentioned as well when she was responding to fan questions, but said it was not time yet. This is a fine moment for a memoirs and carving a new phase in her career.
