Re: Mariah Carey reaches split settlement with James (79,588) (79,589) by RibbonB from USA
Yup, a temporary business merger.

Mariah Carey reaches split settlement with James (79,588) by Licia from USA
They are treating this breakup like it was nothing but a business arrangement. I really don't want to believe this mess. I mean if(key word is if) any of this is true, it proves what I initially thought about this "relationship". This was just something to try to make Nick jealous and prove a point. Just by looking at them together I never thought she was in love with him. I saw more love from her hugging her dog than I saw with her and James. Lol.

Re: Mariah Carey's Merriest Christmas on Netflix (79,585) (79,587) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Hi Matty, a friend showed me this special on Netflix just two weeks ago. It was like an early gift for me. She looked unreal (like a beautiful angel) and she had fun performing for the audience. While watching, it almost felt like MC's in my living room. The band was also excellent, and Trey Lorenz was as always "rocking" the stage. Merriest Christmas should be released on a DVD. Tomorrow I'll get the "AIWFCIY" movie.

Article: Is Mariah Carey "sick" of Christmas? (79,586) by musshu1981 from spain
I think this article is pointless. A human being is sick and needs to recover. That's all. Should be better and article about the illness or how many times she'd been sick blah blah than Mariah is "sick" of Christmas hahaha come on man. You can do better.

Mariah Carey's Merriest Christmas on Netflix (79,585) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Mariah Carey's Merriest Christmas is on Netflix Canada this year. She sounds amazing, she's totally engaged, having an amazing time, and she looks unreal. Netflix just got more festive in dis betch.

Wow.

Yes, the performance at the church in NY is simply magical. At the end when she sings, can you feel it (just wow) what a voice. Definitely iconic. The version at Disneyland is also very enjoyable. Mariah behind the "Cinderella castle", she looks herself like a princess and sounded so good. Like Licia said, she showed everybody she's back.

Hi Licia. Yes, the one I posted is from the St. John Divine concert. The one you posted is also an excellent performance, and one I also love, especially the intro.

Re: Less is more - AIWFCIY (79,577) (79,581) by Andrew from UK
Is that not the problem, though? That the song is downloaded over such a long period of time? If everyone who bought it/streamed it/licked it last year had done so in the same week, would that have been enough to make it No.1 in that week? I think that would be interesting to discover. Because, if not, the goalposts are surely too far away and the lambs and fans are torturing themselves each year.

Dub to the World (79,580) by Andrew from UK
This is the latest Joy To The World and doesn't is just tell a story compared to St John the Divine and Disneyworld? Mariah won't ever be taken seriously or sell well again unless she gets on stage and gives a good solid vocal performance without lip sync, dubbing or autotune. But the voice is so irreparably damaged that sadly I'm not sure that's even possible now.

Re: "Joy to the World" live (79,578) (79,579) by Hilton from USA
Licia, honey, Mariah was serving us vocals with this performance, this performance is a solid representation of what she can deliver when she's well rested, happy, and in a good place. The pressure is always going to be on her to serve up superior vocals because she herself set the bar for herself pretty high. But I love this performance, there's lots of soul here and you can tell she was enjoying herself also. Thanks for the throwback, loved it.

I do enjoy the performance you posted, but this one is my personal favorite. Of course vocally yours is better, but I love this performance because this was a at time when people counted her out and she came back swinging. I was so proud of her. Is the video you posted from the St. John Divine church performance?

Less is more - AIWFCIY (79,577) by Tyler from USA
Looks like AIWFCY is doing extremely and we just finished Thanksgiving. Hitting the top 15 on both iTunes and Spotify this early on is amazing. Usually this time of the year MC is promoting like crazy and she's virtually everywhere you go. Last year was Andy Cohen, Kelly Rippa, the DJ Khalid skit to name a few. As of now there aren't any planned appearances and MC has virtually disappeared off the earth yet the song is doing better than ever. It goes to show you than maybe less promotion is better and that all promotion isn't good promotion. Laying low and letting your music speak could be the best option for the next album.

"Joy to the World" live (79,576) by Billy from Greece
I'm obsessed with this performance. Even Mr. Sony himself wrote in his memoir that "it still stands out to me as one of the greatest live vocal performances of all time" (274). On that I agree.

Re: An upper respiratory infection (79,566) (79,575) by Susana from USA
When she posted the picture on Instagram she did caption #tbt so then that article might've just borrowed the picture and not noticed that it was an old picture or doesn't care and just needed a Thanksgiving-ish picture to go with the article.

AIWFCIY potential to be the 19th #1 (79,574) by Leito from USA
There are currently 13 songs on iTunes top 100 being sold at a discounted price. This included the current iTunes #1 song, Camila Cabello - Havana. It's been a very long time since Mariah has sold a single at discount price. I believe AIWFCIY could've (or still can) hit #1 if it were sold at discounted rate. This would be a perfect time to discount all her back catalog. I would rather sell old music at discounted rate, than not selling any at all.

Mariah Carey's All I want for Christmas (79,573) by Chicago Lamb from USA
I watched last night and am very happy. It's a cute story that's well narrated by Mariah. What stood out the most is the biracial subtext of the story. A first when it comes to a Christmas special in my view. There are lots of clever tidbits about Mariah's life that long time fans will appreciate. This movie will be around for years to come and will forever feature the beauty of Mariah's voice ("Christmas time is in the Air" and "Miss you Most...") as well as her undeniable song writing capability.

Dear Mimi L, of course I miss you. Especially around Christmas time. It's like, those other seasons come and go and it's not so bad, but then this time of year it is. Wait, I think there's a song in there somewhere?

The Book of Moron (79,571) by Andrew from UK
Statements purporting to be fact and not conjecture, especially when quite extreme in nature, presented without any evidentiary basis, are probably not true (the sole defence becoming the moronic "I have insider knowledge the source of which which I can't tell you not prove"). So many people lie to support a false positive narrative and equally now a negative one. Whatever happened to genuinely looking for the actual truth and making decisions based not upon passion or prejudice but upon reason? Whether it be positive or negative, the *actual* truth, and not probable crap you label as "the truth", is surely always better. It's lost to quite a few morons on this board.

I don't either but my explore page updates with a lot of Mariah related posts that other fans have put on their accounts and that unfortunately involves seeing his palpably thirsty, wannabe face sometimes.

She has been sequestered as she usually is when she goes through one of her episodes. Once they get her blood serum levels back to normal she will re-emerge.

Re: An upper respiratory infection (79,562) (79,568) by Stacey from USA
I'm glad she's hiding. I know this is her time of year. But, its still November due to Thanksgiving being early this year. I think it smart to not over expose herself. She's got time to get better and make this a great Christmas season.

Hey MusicfanJ. Yes, that was me. I totally agree with everything you said. I've also just popped MCIIY in my boombox. Such wonderful orchestrations this album has.

After doing an reverse image search, I found out that the Thanksgiving photo was taken back in 2012. Here's an Idolator article containing a captioned image. What is going on with her? Is she really sick?

I don't follow anything Banaka Tanaka related so I'll never see that other picture. Lol I didn't realize the picture she posted was that old. I forgot she was in Hawaii last year for Thanksgiving. I agree she looked gorgeous in that picture.
