Little by little (80,338) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Judging by all the great things that have been happening since the witch was fired, I guess those are enough to confirm that Stella was holding Mariah back (which also unfortunately means Mariah is very impressionable, so she really needs to be surrounded by top-notch professionals). People didn't praise Mariah for doing well at NYE because that's what they expect of her - to deliver a respectable performance. And right now, it's just mostly fans that are raving about Mariah's new glow and aura. If she keeps this up, then more and more people will and this will only add another chapter to her redemption story. She looked stunning in the Golden Globes - her look was like a mix of her previous looks in different eras of her career. She's bubbly and approachable again, significantly more lucid, which leads us to conclusion number two - Stella is a human sedative. Law Roach (of ANTM, who styles Celine Dion, Zendaya, etc.) styled her that night. This is progress, guys. Open off that Bacardi (but none of that for Mariah, please).

From what I've gathered, Stella quite possibly was the mastermind behind the "relationship" but there came a point where Tanaka and Stella didn't see eye to eye. That's probably when the "break up" happened between Mariah and Bryan and we got all those stories about how Bryan is demanding more money and how Mariah left Bryan because she realized how he was using her for money and fame. Then Bryan came back into the picture and eventually phased Stella out. They say Bryan played a key role in Stella's dismissal but ofcourse these are all unconfirmed.

Mariah looks gorgeous at GG. The new team is absolutely doing a very good job. But I noticed on thing they seem to have missed is that since Stella was fired, Mariah's official website also stopped updating. The latest news was posted on November 24, which was more than one month ago. Though maybe very few people are still visiting the site, it's still an important official platform of hers. Somebody tell Mariah's new team to do something about this.

I agree with what has been said about Mariah and her new team. Watching the clips from the Golden Globes was really refreshing. It was like it was 2005 again. She looked incredible and her with Sharon Stone was really nice to see. I am also interested in the "ball of wax" (lol) that Mariah said is waiting to be uncovered in the music industry following the Hollywood scandal. Absolutely she should be the consultant as she said, she was right there at one of the biggest record labels at the time, married to the boss. Lord knows what she saw and experienced. Not just her own struggles but those of other artists too. Watch this space indeed.

I agree so so much. Now is such a good time to be a lamb with all the positive press surrounding Mariah. She looks absolutely stunning in the Golden Globes, very classic Mariah. I'm also so happy she has started to use her platform for things that truly matter like she used to, this Time's Up campaign is amazing.

Agree. Exciting times indeed. I hope that along with the new packaging comes some high end, well-directed music videos with actual concepts/storylines and not just Mariah doing "look at me be sexy" poses nonstop. If the new team can convince Mariah to do this, then I would be one happy lamb.

You both made some great points. I also hear her articulating better during interviews and once again speaking more eloquently. This also makes a difference in how someone looks. This is how I remember Mariah, speaking well. I can say from experience I've noticed a difference in my speaking as I've grown less interested in my work and look forward to doing something different soon to bring it back to good like Mariah has again.

Oops, I meant presenting at the Golden Globes, but it would be great to see her at the Oscars too.

Time is up indeed, but Mimi would be leading the charge up a very slippery slope for herself. And Kesha opened that ball of wax a couple of years ago and that was a mixed bag of tricks for her career. We saw how that last "he said she said" went for Mimi. It lasted for about a decade with a sick clown. Her reality show antics also did nothing good for getting so serious now. But if she has anything to say, I hope she is ready with a machine behind her.

It's like we've woken up from a tacky dream. I love all the moves Mariah is making. I love that she's being vocal about #TimesUp/#Metoo as well (when she usually stays apolitical, I think/hope she's positioning herself to blow the roof off abuse in the music industry). I also have to say, I'm surprised Tanaka is still in the picture with all these directional changes happening in Mimi's world. I thought Stella was the mastermind behind their relationship and that he was a part of the problem. Looks like I read it wrong.

Re: New Mariah (80,326) (80,327) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Her re-doing NYE and claiming back her spotlight would never have happened under Stella's immature reign. We would still be getting pointless mud throwing instead of damage control. Her social media now looks much more sophisticated and personal. I love that we are getting 2009 Mariah twitter moments with her joking around, making up silly words, sharing little seat stealing moments with Meryl Streep. I love how she is now being more vocal about women's rights and standing up for causes. I love that now each day she's out she looks like Hollywood royalty and not some trashy reality star looking for cheap attention. If I hadn't known any better I would argue till death that the Mariah we saw for the last 2-3 years and the Mariah we have now are not the same person. This new turn around just gives me so much hope. And to be quite honest, even if she decides not to release albums or whatever (which I'm sure she'll release because she loves music), I'm just glad that at least her image has been repaired perfectly. I was scared that she has ruined the last bits of what was left of her image and flushed all her hard work and integrity down the drain. But she has risen like a Phoenix again. The people are on her side again. 2018 could be the year of Mariah if she wants it to be.

Re: New Mariah (80,325) (80,326) by Marissa from USA
You made some excellent points. I also love how active the new team is at spreading positivity. So far the main things I've heard about her are the Golden Globe nomination, presenting at the Oscars, creating a new word ("linner"), having the courage to do NYE again, dressing well, etc. All of these positive changes to me really highlight how much the nightmare era team were way out of their league with working with someone like Mariah. All of these positive changes are actually just the bare minimum that a legend needs. It's amazing to me how no one thought to do any of these things for the past 2 years when half of the changes the new team has made have been simple common sense. A great stylist, hairdresser, PR person, manager, etc. are basics. As long as this team keeps up the good work, I hope they are around for a long (caps) time to come. It's so wonderful to no longer deal with daily non-stories from Gossip Cop, hourly Nobu sightings, and Celine bags that were big enough to hide spellbooks, a cauldron as well as a family of 5 in. Every day is so exciting to see what's coming up next for her. I'm feeling refreshed and happy to be a lamb.

New Mariah (80,325) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I just wanted to write a post dedicated to how amazing Mariah's new image and team is looking. This is how a legendary superstar should be represented. Not only is her team doing an amazing job churning out one positive news about her after another (this shows that you don't need trashy moves to stay in the news), but Mariah herself seem to have returned to her usual collected, classy and elegant self. The Mariah in the past 3 years was someone I just couldn't recognize. The constant trashy moves, the booty shots, the back up dancer grinding, the TMZ leaks, the relationship stunts, the ridiculous "walking around freezing NYC in a body suit" or "showing up at a club in underwear" and the immature and unprofessional behavior while dealing with the media both personally and through her previous team. I was seeing my childhood idol self destruct and it was painful to watch. I almost thought there is going to be no turning back from this but Lord am I happy she managed to turn it around. Everything has been on point lately. I can't complain about anything. Her mingling with Hollywood elite is how it should have been instead of hanging out with trashy reality show people. I hope it stays this way and I hope Mariah uses this new found interest in her to kick start her next era. I am loving the fact that I got my old Mariah back. Pow moment dahlin's, it's a pow moment.

Mariah looked absolutely glamorous. I'm with you about Oprah. No one should stop talking when it comes to sexual harassment or abuse towards anyone. Man, woman, or child. If Oprah didn't say anything people would have ripped her apart.

It was a great night for Mariah. Agree to completely disagree about Oprah and her statement though. Her comments were in the interest of equality and love.

So beautiful at GG Award (80,321) by Nonna from Ukraine
Just wow, I don't know who think what but for me it was the best look since forever. Just stunning, I literally fell in love with that look. I just can't believe that same woman could appear without a skirt last year and looked rediculous and this one at GG Award. Mariah has changed in a very good way lately and it's noticable.I wonder how Stella feels now seeing Mariahs success and her new team.

It sounds like Mariah has something to say to say about how women are treated in the music industry. Mariah will have a lot to say about that. Time's Up indeed.

BFF calls me about Mariah (80,317) by Anonymous from
My BFF called me solely to discuss Mariah, she was actually excited for me that Mariah seems to be turning a corner. I know it's cheesy and a bit extra but it felt refreshing knowing that public opinion could been slowly changing for some. Since Stella and co have gone Mariah now seems more herself again. She oozes confidence, charisma, charma and beauty. Yes Stella wasn't completely to blame for the last few years but this new management team are on point. Well done Mariah.

Great speaking to you other day. I can vouch that his bark isn't at bad as his bite. We agreed and disagreed on many subjects and before I knew it, we had been chatting for over an hour. Well worth it.

I love that she is looking more like herself instead of the Zombieriah of the previous years. Her glow isn't just the result of Kristopher's capable hands. She wore a good dress - not great though - and looked very much at ease.

Agreed on all fronts about Mariah. It was a good night. And yes, I think she should write more songs for movies. And Oprah? Just stop talking.
