Re: The business of divorce (79,049) (79,056)

Perhaps she was looking and feeling her best and in love. Those are good reasons to marry and to have kids. The thing is now, she seems to have dropped all that she used to say she cared about, making many question her authenticity, motives, etc. Flaunting a ring from a failed rebound only adds to that.

Eight new endeavors MC needs right now (79,054)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I have been thinking about new endeavors MC is missing right now. Here is what I came up with: 1. A new manager and publist. 2. A makeover including a 2008 E=MC2 weight loss. 3. A duet with an unexpected male artist. Ex. Sam Hunt, Ed Sherran, or Stokley. 4. A new CD with no more than 12 great songs. No rappers, no fluff, and no leftover tracks. 5. An intimate small venue concert tour in the summer 2018 to reconnect with the public: MC Unplugged 2018. 6. Reunite with Walter Afansieff and Babyface. She made beautiful music with these two producers. 7. Please a Bruno Mars and Daley collaboration. 8. A Kelly Clarkson and Sia collaboration. I miss the Mariah from 1990-1997. Always will be her best years.

George Michael back at #1 (79,053)

Congratulations to "The Singing Greek" on Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 returning to #1 after 27 years. Despite the strong competition, the classic never lost its shine. Although not my favorite album from him, I cannot deny the excellent craftsmanship behind it. Considered as his rebellious album, it's a shame the issue with Sony at the time killed all chances of releasing its volume 2. Still, this triumph is a proof of his brilliance and the quality of his output. I love Heal The Pain, Freedom '90, Praying For Time and Soul Free. R.I.P. George.

I don't understand how My All has 100M views and Honey 35M. Honey is a superior video. By far. My All is Mariah lying in a boat. Every guy in school talked about Honey. Everyone talked about it. It was brilliant. And Mariah has never looked so stunning as standing in that beach in white with the white sheets blowing. Nothing makes sense anymore. Stop the planet. Getting off.

As long as Mariah has that ring around her finger she will remain devoid of any class and unworthy of respect. That she has not already removed says much about her newly developed personality. I, for one, find people flashing extreme wealth in public quite vulgar. When you earned it by spreading your legs, as in the ring, the vulgarity knows no bounds.

Mariah's Starz series (79,050)
by B from USA
| |
|
|
I hope Mariah Starz series is written and produced by a talented showrunner. I hope Mariah's involvement is limited to telling the writer stories. I also hope the casting agent doesn't do a poor job casting a young Mariah. If the casting is wrong the series won't work. Mariah needs a writer and director like Danny Strong or Ryan Murphy. It has everything. An underdog, a prostitute, an absentee father, and a neurotic mother, and Mariah's adorable twins.

Why Mariah married Nick in 2008 after only knowing him for a few days/weeks is anyone's guess. She was back on top, she reclaimed her throne. she followed it up with an amazing album E=MC2 looking better than ever (her body in the best shape it's ever been in). Then out of nowhere she marries Nick in a top secret ceremony. It wasn't beneficial to Mariah's career. Unless there is a piece to the puzzle missing. Maybe one day Mariah will write her autobiography.

The business of divorce (79,048)
by RibbonB from USA
| |

It seems that marriages in Hollywood seem to have a five year timeline, or thereabouts. Marriages seem to be big money makers, but Stella seems to market divorces for all they are worth as well. Taking a page out of the Kardashian school of selling ones "selfie" for reality show fame is the name of the game it seems. Mimi sadly jumped boobs first into those shark infested waters, closely followed by her buddy Tiny and now Muppet head Tamar. It is all sad to see with supposedly close industry pals all with young children in the mix, all publicly playing out family drama for pay.

I agree, Mariah us just so obsessed with publicity since, Brett, Stella and even Packer rode the wave until he got his faculties back. Brianca is just keeping his job. People are really only interested in Mimi, not "and company". They used to be tolerated more, now they ate more a nuisance, IMO.

Yes MusicfanJ. Bringin On The Heartbreak was the highlight. I remember most of Charmbracelet sounded so much better live as she sang in full voice as opposed to the whisper fest on the album. Her running on stage and full voice on Subtle Invitation was also a highlight.

It's great to read all the experiences here. CB tour was my first time seeing her live too. Mara you described the entry exactly like I have it in my memory. I was so moved and it almost felt unreal. Mariah's look, her voice, the songs, she really gave her all for the audience at that night. Everyone was just happy around me, smiling and seemed to be enchanted. When "Bringin' on the heartbreak" started, it was the best. She owned the stage like I've never seen it before. With "Vision of love" and "Hero" she showed again there's only one Mariah. The introducing of the band were also a highlight. And of course the duet with Trey Lorenz. She also did that little Honey dance (love this) and the clowns and dancers were very enjoyable too. I was so happy, was smiling two hours after the concert and couldn't stop it. Haha. The same with my friend.

I do remember very well the Charmbracelet Tour in Paris, it was a colourful show. I loved it, she was a bit late as well but I can not remember how late she was. Her voice was just amazing, and I loved so many songs from this event as the band intro (fantastic first time I heard an interomptu, Bringin'on the Heartbreak (the end with guitar solo and the chorus just made it more powerful and soul), subtle invitation, vision of Love, Hero, My Saving Grace, Heartbreaker In The Crown. The show was really well down and the song Clown was one of my fav. At this time Internet was not that big in France (it was but we didn't have a lot of media on the web spreading the news) and we didn't have a lot of information about how the show will be, so everything was a big surprise. A DVD or an official download of this concert would be wow and pow because it was fantastic and she was very energitic. Thank you for sharing this moment again. Love you.

Licia, Charmbracelet was the first time I saw her too. I saw her in Atlantic City Trump Taj Mahal and it was a night I will never forget. That entrance she made walking through the audience to Heartbreaker in that two piece silver ensemble, spotlight following her through the crowd and then that iconic pose when she got on the stage where she tilts her head around and poses. She was breathtakingly beautiful and she still is, but she was radiant and her vocals were unreal. I loved that tour too. I'll never forget my husband at a blackjack table before the doors opened to the theatre and hearing MC being played at the casino knowing I was actually going to see her in the flesh. What a night, top it off with seeing a commotion near the escalators only to hear "Donald" being chanted and Trump with a long wool coat pulling Melanie along and all you see is his hair in a sea of people. He hardly looked at the roudy guys chanting his name as he made his way to where MC was. Pretty sure he had a thing for her back then. Who wouldn't? She was seriously a vision.

Mariah was over an hour late the one time I saw her. Her tardiness at concerts has always bugged me a little. When you pay good $$ to see her, she could at least start on time.

Mine too. I missed out her first time swinging through LA. Then she added some dates right before Christmas. I saw her final performance from the CB world tour, dead center 15 rows back. It was awesome. CTTA was voted by the fans as the extra track to be sung that night. The song took on a whole new meaning with some personal stuff I was going through.

How late was she? When I seen her at Foxwoods in 2010 I think she was either 2 hours late or a little over lol.

Thought the same about her just going out of Mariah's spotlight for a long while. I believe she only made an appearance after all the rumors about her being fired.

The CB tour was my first time seeing her live. It will always hold a special place in my heart. Everything about that tour was awesome. Outfits and vocals were on point. She looked like she was enjoying herself and having fun. The only bad thing was she was late, but I didn't really care. I was too excited.

I watched the "Charmbracelet Tour" and the "SSFT" a lot lately and still can't get enough. I went to the concerts and to see her live is really so unforgettable and unique. I wish there was a official DVD of both tours. I would freak out. Also found this on YouTube, great. Is it from the webmaster? it. [Webmaster: That is not my channel.]
