Yeah I'm not sure how I feel about Mariah parading the kids around on stage like she does. It's cute and everything, and Monroe seems to be more into it than Morrocan, but they didn't really ask for that life. I'm sure it's fine and she wouldn't force it upon them if they didn't want to do it, but still. Not sure I'd make that decision if I were in her stilettos.

Atlanta show (77,900)

Don't know if she's worn that gold and black dress at other shows, but I love it (minus those fishnet stockings). She was working it. She had the twins and the legs all right in this dress. Wasn't too in your face like usual. She posted the picture on her IG if anyone wants to see. I'm too lazy to post the link.

One question (77,899)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)

To be honest all artists are touring as much as they can because the state of the industry nowadays music is not selling is it once did so the touring life is where the money is and to be able to tour off of her back catalogue and rake in some coins. On another note hopefully after Christmas in Vegas she really takes some time for herself and her children to enjoy and fingers crossed Stalla and company is gone by then.

I salute Mariah's bravery for letting her kids to join her on stage in ABMB, I'm always gagging whenever I see a clip of her lipping those high notes around them like what she will do if they'll bug her in that moment haha.

My thought is because unfortunately her music doesn't sell anymore. Legendary artists make most of their money touring. The music business kinda sucks nowadays. Missing the bread and butter of her studio magic as well because from what I've been lately she needs the rest. Stat.

That's the thing people really aren't grasping. I haven't seen Mariah truly happy from the inside out probably since 2010-2012 ish. She doesn't talk about it, but the end of her marriage to Nick was a huge blow, and she's still carrying around a lot of pain from that. It's not shocking though, especially when you consider that her kids were the same age Mariah was when her parents separated. Stuff like that is a huge loss like a death and if you avoid dealing with the stuff that comes up, it gets bigger until you have no choice but to look at what you need to look at, take responsibility for your role in it, and move on. You don't attract managers that operate from shock value and gimmicks when you are in a solid place emotionally and you know your own worth. Whether her fans agree with the way she dresses or the choices she has made isn't really the point. Her level of trust in herself and in other people has been pretty battered, and rather than pretend everything is OK, she will only feel better when she stops trying to cover up her pain and hide behind her persona. She'll feel better when she's finally ready to be venerable and real again.

One question (77,893)
by Randy from USA
| |
|
|
Why is MC touring so much? She has never been a touring artist and to be quite frank, she's a studio singer. A perfectionist whereas she can sing something over and over again until it is at her standard. So why Vegas? SSFT? Lionel Ritchie? Why is she not in the studio recording or chilling raising her kids living off her money? She really doesn't need to be on stage.

Worried fans (77,892)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)

I have to say since the inception of Stella and company things in Mimi land have been out of the ordinary and more times than not out of order. But thus far on the ATHT with Lionel Richie things have been positive for the most part other than that incident where the fan/reporter got dragged by M's security guard. The audience has embraced M with so much respect and love and honestly this is just what she needs. Because this will help her regain her confidence going into recording and preparing for the new era ahead. For now I am going to focus more on the positive things and look past the stunts of the crew.

There's got to be a way (77,891)
by MusicfanJ from Germany

I'm still listening and enjoying her debut. Imagine Mariah would write a song with lyrics like "There's got to be a way" again. At a time where most of the so-called singers just shout out how sexy they are, party non-stop and don't give a f. about anything. The music world would be shocked to hear it from "the diva". Lol I mean the charts are so boring. I need some new music from the one and only Miss Mariah Carey.

I'd prefer she just didn't dance and instead sang. If Adele can do it then she can. I wasn't too impressed by his comments either, to me it just screamed unprofessionalism. People are going to think twice about hiring him now through fear of him being a bigger diva than Mariah and trash talking them to the tabloids.

I hate to say it, but I'm sill worried too. I miss the Mariah who had fun while doing a show. Mariah should try to forget the circus for a while. Just relax, have a good time, money and fame means nothing if you're broken inside or burned out. Why not going to NY to meet real friends, or Italy or just any place where she can refill her "batteries"? I miss her inner "sparkle". I mean even if you're not famous and touring it's so easy to get or feel "lost" sometimes. It's ok, but if you surround yourself with the "wrong" people it will only make everything worse. They won't help you at all. Everytime she's with her kids, she looks like herself again. The Mariah I love. I think someone on this board noticed it too.

I don't think Mariah would [buy] followers for any social media platforms. That's why her count is relatively low on IG. I do however suspect JLo and many others of buying followers. There was a time when JLo and Mimi had a similar amount but overnight JLo gained a huge amount. I was following both of them and it was very noticeable. Btw you can also purchase "likes" too. However, I do think if Mariah was more personal and engaged with IG she would see more of a following. I believe M doesn't engage because at the end of the day it doesn't really translate to sales and hit record.

Pink is at #1 on iTunes, WT is now at #2 and "Despacito" has dropped to #3 (these are all from the iTunes chart). "Despacito" was consistently at #1 for a very long time. If "Despacito" stops at 14 weeks at #1, then I'll definitely believe that the music industry is collectively securing Mariah's record haha, they even stopped Bruno Mars when he was very close to breaking the record. I'm joking of course.

Oh yes, so we have 3 possible artists who could save the record, Rihanna, Cardi B or Pink. Taylor Swift may drop something soon but that's just a rumor as of yet.

You won't believe article (77,878)

Another pointless article about things that the world has heard already, talk about slow news day. I am convinced that some publications just have nothing better to do with their time than to write and print useless nonsense just to try to sell or make a celebrity look like the trash they just wasted their time coming up with.
