The album should have been (78,021)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)

|
|
Mariah should have kept the original title as the album told a story of getting over heartache and the pain of divorce and splitting up her family. 1. Cry 2. Faded 3. Camouflage. 4. #Beautiful. 5. Dedicated. 6. You don't know what to do. 7. Supernatural. 8. Meteorite. 9. Make it look good. 10. The Art of letting go.

Paper Magazine shoot (78,020)
by Lila from United States
| |
|
|
I like the shot of her behind the flamingo floats. I also like the one of her standing near the clothing racks. She looks good, it looks glam and the dresses are nice. I think her face and hair style look nice in all the pictures minus the car picture. The makeup looks too heavy and unflattering in that one for some reason. However, besides the two pictures I just mentioned, I didn't care for the rest. The topless and clamshell bra pictures are tacky and uninspired. The car shot: I liked the concept but I didn't like the dress. Yet another quinceanera reject dress that was the wrong move.

I understand what they were trying to do. Seems like they were going for Vegas showgirl. The sexiness doesn't bother me. I knew that was going to happen. Lol I just don't like the outfit. I've seen her in better showgirl attire and she was beautiful and quite sexy. That showgirl look in the I Stay In Love video is the perfect example.

That's fantastic if I recall correctly, "Angels cry" and "Hateu " were released as one of the first ever Vevo videos. Slowly but steadily all her videos are getting Vevo certified.

I love MIAMTEC. I still listen to the album a lot. Its tracks are on my top 25 of most listened songs on iTunes. I love how she tells a story through the album. You can tell she was going through stuff (with Nick, obviously). The only so so tracks are Thirsty and Money.

Because many of those commenting don't really care who she dates, it's all about a look to them, not reality.

The face shots are absolutely amazing and beautiful as for the attire for me I am not mad at all based on the publication amongst other things that I will keep to myself out of being a respectful man. On another note whoever was the photographer for this shoot should shoot the new album cover and packaging.

The album that should have been (78,010)
by Jenny from UK
| |
|
|
Despite the "messy' era, I created a playlist that when listened from start to finish is the album that should have been. It actually works as a coherent piece of work when the "singles" are put together in my opinion. 1. Triumphant (yes, original mix) 2. Almost Home 3. Beautiful 4. The Art of Letting Go 5. You're Mine 6. You don't know what to do 7. Faded 8. Thirsty 9. Infinity 10. Infamous 11. I Don't What do you guys think?

The photo of her on the car and the one where she is behind the flamingos are gorgeous. Don't know why team Mariah posted those other two pics on IG first when they had great photos like these. Oh well at least now everyone can see the better pics. Lol.

Angels Cry 100 million views (78,007)
by enwar00 from usa

Angels Cry just hit 100 million Vevo views. Seems somewhat random being the first video from Memoirs to hit that mark but it makes sense based on when it came out. I think it's a stand out track off that album but I definitely prefer her solo version which is attached to a specific sad memory for me but overall it's a nice video and I actually remember watching it on Vevo when it came out. It's interesting seeing which of her videos have the most views and are proving more popular online. Let's do a list, just for the nostalgia. 1. All I Want For Christmas Is You 293 million 2. We Belong Together 248 3. Hero 159 4. Touch My Body 152 5. Without You 151 6. AIWFCIY with Bieber 137 7. When You Believe 108 8. Angels Cry 100

This album definitively deserved more recognition. I still listen to Cry (an instant classic in my book), Faded, Dedicated, You're Mine (simply and sweet), Camoflauge, Meteorite, Money, and One Last Cry. I wouldn't call anything a filler personally, because I feel like she put her soul into everything, but these are the songs that I feel are classic gems that I will continue to listen to years from now.

I don't personally like MIAM much because it is mostly depressing and her voice sounds piercing at times with so much filtering and tweaking. I like many tracks in the album though, but it's her only album I completely obliterated many tracks to create something I could actually enjoy. This is how I have it on my playlist: 01. Cry 02. Faded 03. Dedicated 04. #Beautiful 05. Make It Look Good 06. You're Mine (Desperate Mermaid In PR) 07. You Don't Know What To Do 08. Meteorite 09. Camouflage 10. The Art of Letting Go We waited so long for her collaboration with Mary J Blige and R. Kelly, but both of them ended up being fillers. Her repetitive attempt at another "Fly Like a Bird" didn't do anything for me. "Supernatural" is cute but that's about it. She took a classic, "One More Try", and for the first time basically destroyed it, and not in a good way, so mad at that, since it had been a dream of mine to hear her take on it. To me Charmbracelet is a far superior album than MIAM.

This album is not high on my list of great albums, but I do appreciate a few of the songs. Faded (my fav), Supernatural, Heavenly, Beautiful are the only songs I listen to. I listen to You're Mine every now and then, but only the remix. Never got into Camouflage or Cry and I really wanted to love those two. That so so song for me is Thirsty. I could have done without it. The song was funny when I first heard it, but then after that first listen it was blah. She definitely could have kept those Memoirs tracks in the vault. I waited years for her to do songs with R. Kelly and Mary, but those weren't what I was looking for. I'm still confused about America the Beautiful being added. Lol.

Laughing at the Instagram comments (78,001)
by Licia from USA

I'm scrolling through the comments on Mariah's Boomerang pic of her and Kristopher Buckle on IG and I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life. These people are telling Mariah she needs to date him. First of all, I agree anybody is better than Banaka Tanaka at this point. Secondly, I don't think Mariah has anything Kris would be interested in (correct me if I'm wrong). Clearly these people are not fans because they'd know that.

In all honestly, I anxiously anticipated this album's release as it had been postponed endlessly. It did take several sessions before it struck me how fantastic this album actually is. Mariah is at her best when she is telling stories. #Beautiful, Faded, You Don't Know and You're Mine remain great songs. I did miss Triumphant and Almost Home on the album as I would have preferred them to the remixed versions from "Memoirs" and I could have lived without Supernatural. Never really cared for it despite the cuteness of Roc and Roe's babbling. I just don't think of it as a great song.

Hmmm. I like this album but it really isn't a wow album for me. Although I feel that Dedicated and #Beautiful are her freshest tracks in years. For me I would have to say besides those dreadful cut and paste duets on the deluxe addition it would have to be Money, or One Last Try. One Last Try could've been epic but the vocals and strange background choice of music ruins it from truly being spectacular.
