Yes it is not right that we turn a blind eye towards others suffering in the east but honouring Martyn does not disrespect the others in any way at all. It is only natural that you feel the absence of someone knew as opposed to someone you didn't. I'm sure if you'd like to honour the countless others who die daily because they were bombed in their own homes sleeping in their beds and not at a concert the board would support you. Everybody is saddened by what happen to all the victims, but Martyn wasn't just an unknown victim to us, he was Martyn the one who posted and interacted with us on the messageboard. Martyn the one who was just planning a vacation to America and was asking for opinions. Would you tell the friends, family and acquaintances of the other victims not to focus individually on them with a memorial, a website, or a Facebook page for them? Well Nick-André we here at MCA have expressed our grief and sadness over this senseless act of violence that has taken so many lives away. I have no idea who "you" are and I'm sure none of us here have, but Martyn? Martyn, we do know. Martyn was our family here and when you come to a place daily, whether it be online or a café, whatever, you begin to form familiarity and friendships with people. Martyn was "our" family here. He has been posting for over 4 years. Some of us have formed real friendships with him. So before you randomly come to a Mariah Carey message board and think we are all some Mariah fans that are showing him respect and loss "just because he was a lamb" or that we saw his name in the news and decided it was he who we were going to mourn, you couldn't be more wrong. Martyn was someone that you could just tell, lit up a room. He was the infectious energy that made you smile from being around him. That was evident by his videos, posts, things written about him by his family along with his friend. So Nick-André, I hope I have answered your question on "who this Martyn person was". You have come to Martyn's domain here and asked this question to his family. We all loved him here. We all feel the loss of the rest of the victims as well as the other senseless acts that have taken place in this new world we seem to be living in, but please don't disrespect Martyn here ever again in his "home". Mariah lost a fan literally (75,700) by T from USA It's weird we just had this whole long debate about how Mariah is loosing tons of fans as of late, figuratively. Then 24 hours later we hear that she has lost a fan literally (through a senseless act). I think we can all learn from this that whatever Mariah is up to, doing or not doing, it's not that deep. She's not hurting anyone and it's all just entertainment. There are way more important things in life then if Mariah is doing another season of the reality show. Or if we get an album this year or next. It doesn't really matter. We should just be grateful that she is still putting her energy to entertain us. (Thursday 25 May 2017; 13:24)

Martyn who? He is not the only victim (75,698) by Nick-André from Belgium I do not know who this Martyn person is, frankly I don't even care. Because every victim of those terror attacks, anywhere on the globe is one too many. Please don't fix your attention just to one of the victims, it's not respectful to all the other victims. Why even all the fuzz when it happens in France, Belgium, Germany or the United Kingdom? No "hashtags" for Irak, no "nous sommes" for Syria, no "pray for" Jakarta. The last one's station was yesterday attacked by suicide bombings. I still don't know Martyn, I can only learn about him through what I can read here and on other online services. But there are so many more stories. Of people who have to live in life threatening circumstances, who even were born into it. With no hope for a better future. Let us all focus more on them too, because they even need it more than we do. In tribute of all the victims of senceless violence, don't forget about them. Make it trending lambs. Still, the news of his passing has shaken me in ways I didn't expect. I've openly wept for him, for the grief his loved ones must be going through, and the utter senselessness of this whole ordeal.
