Article: Mariah courts attention with provocative kissing picture (73,262) by Edward from USA
How desperate can she be to post a picture like that on her Instagram? Lord, have Mercy. The Mariah, as we knew her, seems to be completely gone.

My friend just sent me this t-shirt. Definitely going to be purchasing one, thought I'd share. I love that pic of Mariah

Vanity Fair (73,259) by Mara from United States
Well I really don't know what to make of this whole situation any longer. I can't seem to find it to link it here and I'm not sure if any of you have seen the little interview Mariah barely did walking into Vanity Fair where the woman said Mariah was "like her Jesus" and that she has seen every Christmas concert and you can see Stella with her phone looking like she is ready to move Mariah along and then the woman proceeds to mention Mariah's World and how she is obsessed with Stella to and how "these are the stars of Mariah's World" and Stella then turns her back and walks in the woman's view pulling Mariah away and to the point where the woman says no I'm serious and Mariah looks uncomfortable and says "How can you not be obsessed with her" and then it's cut short. Like seriously what is wrong with Stella? Why be so rude? Was it because "Mariah's World is such a sore subject" that she thought they were being mocked or she really is trying to not allow Mariah to speak? What are we witnessing here? I don't like how she kept pushing Mariah away from microphones. I have lived through that once before as a fan and we all know what happened since. What I am thouroughly confused about is this:
1. Is Mariah really handing over that much control to Stella to the point where she seems to have literally checked out and goes with the flow?
2. Is she just making Stella look like the bad guy and this is all what she wants in the first place. Even the crazy instgram pics. Does she really want them posted but acted like it's all Mishka's doing? Is she really that blase' at this stage in her career or does she just never want to take the blame?
I honestly don't know what to think anymore. If that is how Stella is working now, it seems like she is getting much more brazen in ordering MC around. Someone mentioned somewhere that she reminds them of Whitneys manager Pat Houston. She does. It's just all so bizarre but I feel like it's not for me to decide what it is. I just hope Mariah is careful and that she has someone in her life that is real and has a real past with that can at least reach her or look out for her. It's like Mariah is like a real life Cinderella who got ready for the ball and the evil stepmother had to watch over her the whole time (and she according to an article and the fact that there are not many pictures of her) didn't even stay for the party. It's like Stella walked her through for her photo ops and didn't want her talking, she rushed through posed with a few people and boom, grabbed a steak with Tanaka, Stella, the other assistant and went home. Then they asked her if it's real or it's all for cameras and her reply was "that's an awful lot of work for cameras" or something like that. Then we get that awkward pic of MC and Tanaka. I don't even know what you want to call it. Touching lips? And a strange quote captioned. Her life is really a circus right now and I'm going to take a break from it all I think until things seem more put together. I'm sorry but I miss the "old Mariah" and I'm not ashamed. I do t know who we are looking at anymore. I miss the songwriter who always had a song that connected with me about some sort of topic in my life. And yeah, I can go to the back catalog, but something new and fresh was what always got me excited looking ahead to new music. I just wish we knew what she really was feeling right now, because right now, I am at a loss.
The MW DVD cover and back was released and the description on the back is really what I feel Mariah wanted or visioned it being and I think she got caught up in this mess and felt she had no choice for the show. I don't know. With all these stories and Stella every single place with her 12 year old daughter every single place, taking the place of Mariah's friends. It's all just too insane. If Stella was pulling microphones away from Mariah for reasons we don't know the I'll apologize to Stella. If she is around Mariah 24/7 literally every waking moment and every outing due to Mariah's request then again, I apologize to her. But she really comes off as crass and just not likeable. But according to her and her middle finger thrown up in the air all the time even with her 12 year old, this is the attitude she wants to portray in the public so I guess she is getter what she wants from us. She doesn't want to be like by us, she wants to come off as this powerful bi$@h boss and could care less about us peasants. I think I just need to forget about it for a while, God knows I have enough of my own life to worry about. Wish Mariah would surprise some of us. I hate seeing what I am seeing. Sorry for the rant. Rant over.

History repeats itself? (73,258) by RibbonB from USA
Like Eddie Morales said last year around this time, he hopes she-Stellar doesn't sink the ship before M. can relaunch her career. They seem to have already read the script and knew the cast. Now let us pray. But in Mariah's mind she created all that 800 hours of footage for her kids. My worst fear and one I have avoided saying is, I hope Roc and Roe don't end up treating her like her own siblings now treat her, with resentment. Kids are resilient, but they know, see and feel a lot.

Re: Mariah Carey may be dropped by Epic Records (73,231) (73,257) by Musti from UK
I agree, I would't be surprised either. Dropping a legend simply because they no longer sell millions says more about the label than the artist, but the end result is that Mariah will be without a label. At this point in her career I don't see her getting a deal from any of the majors. What worries me is that she might be forced to set up her own independent label. Seeing how Stella doesn't seem to be going anywhere, she will continue to distance Mariah from her important personal and business relationships and destroy whatever else is left. I get that Mariah feels like Stella understands her and that they have "connected" as friends (even though I don't think Stella is anywhere near her level). However there needs to be a line somewhere between friendship and business. Mariah should also try to get back into that professional space and take her career seriously. We all lose people from time to time, whether by breakups or death. But we recover. It is simply not ok in the music industry to delay an album for an entire year after releasing the lead single and then completely abandon the project because you're divorcing your husband. Let's not forget the series of incredibly messy TV appearances during that period. Whatever cloud she has been on for the past 3 years, she needs to come down fast.

Ugh those videos popped up on YouTube 2 days backs and it made me cringe harder. This was one of the videos from the Paris party for the Vodka launch. She was completely out of it and basically throwing herself at Tanaka who obviously stood there touching her and fixing her hair. All this while James supposedly just left minutes ago. I hope for Roc and Roe's sake that they never come across these videos.

The Billboard La Reid interview was just his thoughts. It was not like I demand she goes all AC or do a cover album. He said in one interview I'll just let her decide what she wants and when she wants to record an album. He's very open minded and fair towards Mariah. I'm sure La Reid would be totally open for another TEOM type of album. Mature, fresh and playful and focused on her talent.

Re: Actions speak louder than words (73,244) (73,254) by RibbonB from USA
The more people keep talking about it, good or bad, the more they will keep doing it. "We know she is happy, paparazzi snapping." Lol. I'm waiting for Stella to hire a stunt dummy so she can be in "love" and busy herself. They can double date, but that would be too hard for Stella to oversee her commodity. The kicker is neither will be a factor when this era ends. Tonka may get invited to Dancing With the Stars and Crustella will go back to reality show D listers. She was probably drooling over all the talent at the Mayweather party hoping they didn't notice those Mariah's World ratings.

I think it's the first, she's stuck in a publicity stunt that she doesn't know how to end. It's like even if it's not taped, we're still getting Mariah's World Season 2.

If I was a PR person I would say there's only one option to save your career and image. Leave Stella, Bryan and all of them in LA and go home to NY with your children. Delete everything on Twitter and Instagram and leave the entertainment business for a while. Sit down and talk to people like La Reid and Lee Daniels. Re-hire Michael Richardson. No concerts, no interviews, no gigs. Relax with your children, stop drinking and start working on an album. Meanwhile let Michael, La Reid form a team that is qualified. And stop being a diva and grow the hell up.

Mimi L you know that picture ticked me off. I hurried up and closed my IG. lol If she's really in love with that fool, I wish her the best and I always want her to be happy, but this situation and him irks my soul. I think if those videos of her flirting and stuff while she's about to get married never would have came out or been posted I'd be a little bit better with it.

"She don't" (73,249) by Edward from USA
While I think releasing a series of 3 or 4 singles before a project is OK, these singles should be intended as part of unit, cohesively that is, not just thrown in there for the sake of having them all as a unit for people to purchase. Mariah greatest songs are usually not singles, so having many half-cooked singles out leading up to a project when they are all flopping is not a good idea. If Mariah is not going to put the effort, I don't see the need of being part of a label. If she produced a series of singles leading up to an album like E=MC2, that would definitely be a different scenario. I hope that by shielding herself too much she's not detaching herself from reality. She should know by now that "I Don't" is not going happen.

Of course I want an album, but if all she's going to put out is singles, at least make sure it's quality singles. Make sure it's singles that she's put some effort into making. I've never cared about number ones. I just want great music.

Control (73,247) by G.G. from USA
Based on the showbiz411 article, people, other than us fans, see who and what Stella really is. My thing is, if Mariah is ok with being controlled, then why not let someone control your career who knows what the hell they're doing? Not some failed reality tv trash looking hooker like Stella? The longer all of this goes on, the more I "check out" from Mariah' s career.

New song in March (73,246) by T from USA
I really now believe that the song coming in March was the one Epic wanted to "rush out" in the new year. It must have something to do with the tour she was going to go on with Lionel. LA Reid's plan is to make Mariah a more legacy act (he even suggested a covers album at one point). Mariah doesn't want to go that route and hence sidelined him with releasing "I Don't". But now with the tour coming she was going to release the song the label wanted all along I do believe. It will be interesting to see if it ever does get to see the light of day because now Mariah can argue there is not more tour, at least not yet. PS. People think Pharrell is the mystery collaborator. But that article clearly states that they talked about their kids. And by the way they were talking about them it seemed like Mariah and Pharrell haven't spoken in quite some time.

Re: Actions speak louder than words (73,243) (73,245) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Wait until this ends and we get "leaks from sources" that Tanaka used Mariah and Mariah was head over heels in love. We'll probably also get a little diss moment during a live concert like Nick did and all the good stuff. Zero sympathies will be offered at least from me. She gets herself in these situations. How a grown woman can be so naive to let a circus basically isolate her from the rest of the world is weird. By the time Stella is gone (and she will be gone), Mariah's image would be ruined beyond repair.

Re: Actions speak louder than words (73,238) (73,244) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
This picture probably wouldn't annoy me as much had we not known how staged this shit is. Either Mariah is stuck in a publicity stunt that she started off but now can't figure out how to end it or the woman actually thinks this Tanaka person actually is in love with her and not just using her for exposure.

I would've preferred the other way around. Yes, the industry has become more single-driven, but singles tend to be dumbed down (especially in mainstream pop music) and only making singles would waste Mariah's talent. Albums allow Mariah to explore more of her music, experiment with new sounds, and make music she truly loves. Not saying that singles can't be a way to explore new sounds, but it's harder to do so with singles. At this point I don't have any hope left for another hit and I'm fine with it. All I want is for Mariah to regain respect from the public and make critically acclaimed music. If Beyonce can do it, Mariah can absolutely do it too.

Re: Mariah Carey may be dropped by Epic Records (73,234) (73,241) by T from USA
There are so many (fake) stories floating around that it's hard to know what's real and who to believe. So was that Stella who leaked the rumors that LA Reid wanted to rush a single out after NYE, but really it was Mariah/Stella who wanted it released? And did she just use LA's name to gain more credibility? Or is the song she's putting out in March the one he was championing? Or maybe he didn't want to rush a song out at all, and it's all lies.

I don't think we'll ever get another full album (73,240) by T from USA
Epic/Sony would be the only label to push her to make another album. But she knows the industry isn't album driven but single driven these days. Unfortunately it's bad timing for us the fans who would want an album because as time goes by and she becomes less and less in demand the chance of getting an album is going to be lower and lower. I have a feeling that MIAMTEC will be her last full studio album. But maybe it's a good thing to only release songs for the fans now as there is a lot less pressure (from the industry) and maybe just maybe one will become a decent hit. And if not she can always just release another one. She's earned the right to do whatever she wants now. She's not a 20 year old up and coming artist.

I doubt La Reid will drop her because that's what Stella wants. I don't think he'll let her release another song under Stella. He's probably waiting for Mariah to wake up and drop Stella.

She said: "I just don’t feel comfortable talking about my personal life." Take a look at her latest IG picture. Why can't she accept that she's not a private person and she is a fame whore. Just admit it and don't act like you're a classy, private person.
