Usually some members there are the first to throw shade at MCA but this time around they are showing us some love after the Liron comment. They have been saying the "crap" Liron is talking about is "the truth" and that Liron is a bum kisser and would continue doing so as long as she gets something out of it and some other stuff.

Few more requests for the upcoming album (74,414)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|

1) Since Mariah sometimes does covers, I'd love her to cover Michael's "You are not alone" or "Butterflies" or "Speechless". I know I've said this before but still putting it out there again. 2) For the roll out, please go on multiple high profile shows not just one. With "I Don't" I thought they'd push it more than they did since she was hosting multiple parties with radio and media personalities and there were rumors of remixes coming up and all but that didn't happen and there was only the Kimmel performance. She should book several shows and not like 6 months before the actual release because people lose interest but closer to the release, go on Fallon, Corden, Ellen and every show there is, and book interviews and live performances. Combine that with a high profile magazine cover like maybe get Vogue or Harper's Bazaar or any other high profile magazine and aim for the cover story. Also see if she can get some big name celebs with big instagram followings to do a countdown for her. 3) Get a radio deal.

This show of course, had to throw a little shade on the recent breakup topic. They were pretty tame about it, but one host said that M. needs to now go after Janet Jackson's "billionaire" ex. Brat had the nerve to say that M. doesn't go after "sloppy seconds". Both she and JP had no ink, let alone wet ink on their divorce decrees lol. So I thought that was a rather wack comeback, but at least she seemed to confirm this particular stunt is over.

Shrug. I say let the material and the music speak for itself. If Mariah focuses on her artistry, lyrics, production quality, and integrity it doesn't matter what the sub label is called.

This board is a mess, but I like it too. I wonder that now, hopefully, that Mariah is getting back to normalcy, if MDJ will reappear. They were gone just long enough to miss all the Stellar/Packer/Boytoy stunts of the past year and a half. Funny how that happened.

She looked thoroughly terrified and uncomfortable during the Kimmel performance, I definitely don't think that's a good look for a performance, especially a concert. However Mariah is more comfortable in front of her fans than she is on TV so I'm sure had it been not been on TV she would move more, but Anthony wasn't just a choreographer/dancer, he was the creative director, which includes more than dancing, plus he was the one who coined the now iconic chaise lounge lift and other lifts as well as easy steps for the show which is required especially when it comes to the more up beat songs. Not saying she should get Anthony back, but she definitely needs to move more than her Kimmel performance for an hour length concert which is a mix of ballads and up beat songs.

Yes I know that too. Lol and about those Kid's Choice Awards show family twin outfits, they were atrocious, but I am so happy for that day for them. Too bad "Buttinsky In chief" Stella and her butt/bat family also had to attend.

I think its good if Anthony does not come back. I did not like his choreography for Mariah. I do not give a rats ass if there are dancers on stage when it comes to her performances. I would be very much satisfied if there would not be any more stage movement than there was during the "I Don't" performance on Kimmel. Which means basically none.

Article: Mariah Carey launches Butterfly MC Records (74,401)
by Adam from US
| |
|
|
As much love and respect as I have for Mariah, Butterfly MC Records is a horrible name for a record company. If I was wanting a label to sign me, I'd skip over it simply because of the name. How can anyone take Butterfly MC Records seriously? This whole era is a mess still. "Me. I Am Mariah" was such a masterpiece that didn't get 5% of the credit it deserved. "Mariah's World" was enjoyable for me as a fan, but as a lamb, it did nothing for me. If Stella is truly behind this mess, lose her. If she did dump Bryan to focus more on family music, she needs to continue dumping people and get people who are really there for Mariah and not themselves. Mariah is a living legend and it is sad to see the mockery she is becoming - possibly because of Stella. I hope she gets it together.

Totally here for something along the lines of E=MC2. It was a great album and I don't skip any tracks on it. Even though it's a happy party album, it had something for everybody including heartbreak ballads side by side with club bangers. Every song from that album was single material and had hit potential.

She did mention that she wants to do something special for the anniversary of "Butterfly" and she should, since that album not only symbolizes her creative/professional freedom but also her personal freedom.

Lol yeah I saw that interview last night and he was clearly just joking about the jealous part, and quickly said he was just joking and quickly kept it about his kids and family. Even though Nick quit AGT, it is kind of cool that he should be spending even more time with his kids this Spring and Summer. They are turning 6 and are probably such active little kids.

A new day has come (74,395)
by Edward from USA

I'm happy Mariah's announced a new album. I'm not really worried about her not being able to have enough material in such a short period of time, since she's been recording for a couple of years now. I just hope for songs with substance, and for an album more like E=MC2 in terms of mood. I hope for a party record, with of course some epic ballads, but the mood is going to play a decisive part in its success. If she comes with that tired old formulaic R&B she's been rehashing, I don't think it's going to go well. Even though E=MC2 is not necessarily one of my favorite albums, it is definitely great album I usually play from beginning to to end while working out. It never disappoints. And we're going to need for the first track to be titled "You're Out with the Rest of Them (Jo Contour not in fashion any mow remix)".

Proud of Nick (74,394)
by Licia from USA

Even though he made a crack about alot of men being jealous of him, he pretty much gave the right answer when he was asked about the breakup. He said he knows nothing about it. He gave his standard she's a good mother and they are only in it for the kids spiel and he said he's too busy worried about his current relationships to be thinking about an old relationship. When I read that they asked him about it, it scared the mess out of me because I just knew he was going to say the wrong thing. Lol.

I wonder what her position is on M's team (no pun intended). I remember her getting into a twitter argument with a fan over M's revealing ensembles - she said she'd like to see M dress more conservatively but it's not upto her and there's nothing she can do about it.
