I don't know if you knew that, but Mariah had a 22-year career by then, she knew how to read and demand, she's not a dummy or a damsel-in-distress like so many here try to portray her. The only female judge got to her head, and she lost a great opportunity to focus on being the best judge to ever sat on that panel regardless of the declining ratings of the show. I don't think Mariah, Nicki or anybody else could've saved that show, but they could've done a better job. Some great stars came out of that show when they were basically the only talent show, but then a diarrhea of similar shows started coming up left and right. I expected more from Mariah as a judge. I was expecting her to talk about those technical things those judges don't know shit about. I guess that some people are great at learning and being something, some others are great at teaching. Some might focus only on Mariah's positive things and ignore the negative, I don't see anything wrong with that. But then you have those who like to pretend and close their eyes to facts like Mariah is surrounded by leeches and people who are not advancing her career the way a legend of her stature deserves. Just because Mariah goes along with it or says it, it doesn't mean it is the best for career or true. At this point, after seeing the lies on Mariah's World, I take anything they say in Mariah's camp with a grain of salt. For instance, how could you have written a song about a real break up that wasn't real when you wrote it? Mariah's World exposed many things about Mariah that instead of doing good, just lessen her credibility, and those are undeniable facts. (Wednesday 5 April 2017; 17:23)

Daydream era (74,174) by Terna from Nigeria I don't think Mariah is very fond of the "Daydream" album or era. Kinda like how she blotches "Glitter" the soundtrack out and doesn't sing songs from that album, with "Daydream" it's only "Always be my baby" she never seems to miss an opportunity to sing. Lol. Mariah on Idol (74,162) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines By the time Mariah signed up for Idol, she boarded a ship that has been sinking since 2007. She did this because it was a very attractive deal at the time - a hefty paycheck in exchange of helping to find the next big star. However, as much as American Idol has been instrumental to the discovery of legitimate talents, I almost wish she signed on for The Voice instead. At the time, The Voice was significantly more popular than American Idol, and lets face it, the show has never been about the talent - it's always been about the coaches and their egos, which is pretty much why it has produced zero artists above the D list. Still, Mariah's presence on that show would have made more sense, not to mention the heightened competitiveness and actual coaching/involvement that goes into it would probably have given Mariah a better opportunity to share her knowledge rather than just giving critiques on the main show alone. It would have been a more interesting and enjoyable viewing experience. It'd also have been a better vehicle to promote #Beautiful, and MIAM would probably have become a different album. You would think after New Years Eve the damage control would be putting out a live set where MC goes back to basics or at the least SSF performances.
