Re: Mariah and Nick at Kid's Choice Awards (73,553) (73,557) by Shezz from Pk
So so adorable. I wonder if the Bulochnikovs sat with Nick and how he is with them since he clearly sees through this all. Oh Nick, come back please because you belong together.

Kids' Choice awards show (73,556) by Tameka walker from United states
I just want to say that I think it's magnificent that they remain on good terms for the kids' sake. Because of that their children are having the best childhood memories ever. They're seeing mom and dad get along and putting them first. There aren't too many divorced parents who do this. I just want to say kudos for them doing that. If I am ever in their situation I hope I can do what they do. Which is get along for the children's sake.

Re: Can I say something? (73,484) (73,555) by May from Denmark
The fault is not of the kids but the parents. Teens would walk on anyone if not set limits. And Mariah kids are 5 years old, the age that needs free play but also structure and routines, which these little ones have none. The dancer talked about the kids because that's what she saw but I feel no surprise she didn't mention anything about Stella or Mariah, none of them got up to stop the kids or to tell the teen she was doing wrong. Yes, some kids love to run at restaurants or get up 1000 times from the chair but you would also see their parents trying to do the effort of sit them down, talk to them and set them limits, there are a plethora of things you can do to keep a child sat down and in the end, every parent knows, if the kids don't behave, you just leave and go back home. Might seem a punishment for all, adults included, but at the end of the day the kids get it, unless they learn manners they can't be taken to places and trust me they learn quick. Mariah's kids are almost 6 which means they will understand consequences by then. Maybe Mariah is too lax because Stella is that way. I don't think people are being too judgemental here (some are, yes) but most have just pointed and observed an ongoing pattern in all the kids that are in this circus. Maybe the drinks are blurring the lines for these women. And wow, I've been gone for too long, so nice reading the board again, gave me great laughs some of the posts. I conclude this with a vision, a vision of trainwreck.

I thought the same with the Sweetheart video. So beautiful. This looks like Mariah Carey. The kids are adorable too.

Re: Mariah signing to Parkwood Ent. (73,538) (73,551) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Friend or not I liked the fact that Anthony was very professional and he stood his ground and would argue with Mariah if he thought that his idea would make her show better. He wasn't disrespectful towards her but he stood his ground and eventually Mariah also saw he was right so she would give in. He was also the only one who actually dared to go and tell Mariah to handle her own social media or check what goes on in there because a 12 year old unschooled and unruly child is posting soft porn stuff there and that might affect her relationship with Packer. I didn't see any other person on her team have the guts to do that. This is what she needs, people who qualify for their job descriptions and people who are not ass kissers. Anyways, if Anthony comes back I want him to recreate this AHS scene haha.

Mariah and Nick at Kid's Choice Awards (73,550) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I can't get over how adorable they all looked on the red carpet. They make such a beautiful family. This photo is beyond adorable and look at Mimi and Roe's matching shoes. Here's another one of them goofing around. This is them sitting at the event. This is a photo with Nick. Look at how gorgeous she looks in this photo. I'm glad they threw away the winged out lashes and the heavy smokey eyes and let her natural eye shape shine through. She looks straight out of the "Sweetheart" video or this photo from 2003. Absolutely gorgeous and flawless. How many years has it been that Mariah actually sat at an awards show? Haha, she hardly ever stays back, in some cases she just walks the carpet and goes home or performs and goes home. She's almost never photographed sitting at the shows anymore so this is a refreshing change.

How cool to see Roc and Roe and their parents together at the Kid's Choice Awards. Dem babies are so big now, so it is the perfect time for them to attend. Last year was cute too with Roc on the one's and two's with Nick.

Over it (73,547) by Tyler from USA
Freedom of speech is always welcome but please get over yourself judging this women over her parental skills. Kids will be kids and her kids interrupting a belly dancing show isn't that deep. So judge mental on this board. Please get off your hire horse. Were any of you there? No. We can talk about performances, outfits and instagram all day but these other attacks are just wack. I don't understand why some just don't move on if she annoys you this much.

Re: Shining through the rain vocals (73,541) (73,546) by Edward from USA
B, did you know that once Rainbow was completed, Mariah got complete creative control of her music. Charmbracelet was the way it was because Mariah wanted it so, not because any label told her anything. Charmbracelet was a very personal album to her, so she emulated her Butterfly sound and even made the connection, but different from Butterfly, she whispered the whole album through. Mariah, just like Beyoncé, get her music together and then presents it to the label, they might reject a certain song, not want to go with a certain single or make suggestions, but they do not interfere by imposing producers, way of singing, or other lyricist to her. What the label and her manager did was work in the background to gradually develop a likable image of her again, something that paid off by the time TEOM was released, and lasted up until Merry Christmas II You. After that, people started disliking her again because of her diva antics and her tired dahlings, thank God she seems to have forgotten about them. Had she not followed LA Reid guidence the two songs that basically carry TEOM wouldn't have happened, but it was combination of great music, great direction and great management. When Mariah leaves her ego behind and listens to those people who know, she usually end up with a great product.

Re: Mariah signing to Parkwood Ent. (73,480) (73,545) by Mercury from United States
Mariah's previous creative director, Anthony Burrel, lead the charge in the Parkwood collaboration. Anthony has a professional history with Beyonce/Parkwood and convinced Mariah of the benefits of employing a creative services agency. Communications began late last year and the negotiations were nearly completed in December. Beyonce was extremely excited about signing Mariah as a client, she even endorsed Mariah's Christmas show to "seal the deal". But negotiations halted after the NYE performance and Anthony's dismissal. After Beyonce's Grammy performance, Parkwood received new treatment requests for several of Mariah's upcoming projects including a rebranding campaign and fashion mood-boards.

Re: Once upon a time (73,539) (73,544) by Edward from USA
I echo your sentiment. Most of the fans who experienced her glamour, status, and class in the 90's feel exactly the same way. I don't know one of her fans from back then who didn't feel excitement when her music was about to come out. A single from Mariah Carey wasn't just a rushed half-cooked song, it was a production. There was something for everybody on her CD singles. The Heartbreaker single was amazing, we got "regular" and "no-rap" versions, then we got three excellent dance tracks, it was fire. Everything was so well calculated, promotion was on point, she could do no wrong. But those were the days when she had real professionals helping her build her brand and making her protect that which would make her the star that she was, her voice. Now, she has a bunch of sycophants in her team and many yasss-queen fans destroying what's left of her brand. And who's the common denominator in all this? Well, Mariah is. She's a musical genius, but she's also her worse enemy. Mishka says "but you have a nice ass", and her ego gets the best of her clouding her judgment. Her first f-up was not taking care of what once was considered national treasure, her voice. I will always resent her for that. I expected her to have gone through changes like any other human being would, but not like this. It infuriates me when she yells a note nowadays and she thinks she's slaying or producing a pleasant sound. But oh well, those were the days. All these past few songs "Infinity", "Infamous", and "I Don't" seem such a let down compared to what we know the woman is capable of. I wish she had retired after her Merry Christmas II You album. End of rant.

Not surprised. Mimi is a wreck now. She had a permissive mother so she's a permissive mother. She not not a good one either. It shows. She may love them no doubt of course but they need to be in a stable environment. In school. Not "home schooled". With kids their own age. She needs to quit the traveling and take a break for five years. She's a mess. I don't like this incarnation of Mariah Carey. I'll stick to classic vintage Mariah Carey. She needed and needs a Tommy Mottola to guide her, protect her and yes put her in check. She never would have become [...] even with all her talent if it wasn't for him. Period. She doesn't have the self control. Like a lot of artists. You know how many great talents are out there, some better than her and any of the greats we know of who will never be know [...] they didn't have the guidance and self control. [...] She is lucky and blessed to have been given the life and career she has. Otherwise she'd still be a struggling middle aged singer trying to make it singing in clubs. It's being ruined by this no good scheming "manager".

I think her vocal delivery on the Charmbracelet album was mandated by the label to make her as appealing as possible. She even dressed and acted more ladylike with poise and class.

You're right, she probably wouldn't reference a song about drug dealers and thots. Possibly.

Once upon a time (73,539) by Tijl from Belgium
I have been on the nostalgia train all week, watching old performances and videos of Mariah on YouTube. "New" old stuff keeps poping up on a daily basis and I have to say. Once upon a time she was beyond this world. Especially during the Rainbow era, Mariah was a music mogul's wet dream. She embodied the concept of a super popstar as a powerhouse vocalist and songwriter with an amazing repertoire and hundreds of awards to match that reputation. On top of that her voice was still amazing despite the vocal chords. In my opinion it just added extra colouration to her songs. She looked like a supermodel (check out her rendition of Mariah's Theme on the Blockbuster awards show) and she oozed unpretentious glamour. I will always love her as I am a loyal fan for twenty years now and I don't want to play the role of pity party, but I do miss that artist. And then again - I often wonder - maybe so does she. Imagine being a global superstar with A levels in every aspect of that position. There will always come a time when the crown has to be handed over to a new generation. Unfortunately that new generation hasn't got by far what she presented abundantly in her heyday but the world changes. Thank you Mariah for those wonderful years of joy, drama, glamour and for being the soundtrack to my equally tumultuous last twenty years. Can I just please ask you to end it on a high note - pun intended. I enjoy you, appreciate you, love you always. A butterfly from Belgium.

MImi L. here is a blind likely regarding when Anthony got fired/left. He was the last remaining friend associate from her past. Boynaka is a current Stella approved employee. Back to my "Get Out" theory. Poor M. Interestingly enough, Anthony does a lot of work for Bey obviously through Parkwood. Will her be back in the mix for the shortened Lionel tour and Vegas?

The pictures are gorgeous. If they would have cropped out Banaka Tanaka I would be much happier. Lol I don't think Mariah would put Bad and Boujee as a hash tag. Most 12 year olds like that song so that was definitely the child posting for Mariah. Lol.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey not marrying Bryan Tanaka (73,531) (73,535) by Edward from USA
Andrew, Mariah and Tanaka look great together visually, but the supposed relationship is what looks to me like mother and son or nephew and aunt, or maybe employer and employee. I'm 100% supportive or women and cougar love. I don't see anything wrong with it, but Mariah and Tanaka's relationship is as real as Molly was Mariah's assistant.
