Sampling RnB (71,807) by Edouard from France
I believe it's a great idea to sample rnb songs. "Where I wanna be" is such a gem for rnb music lovers and from what I've heard she cleverly re-used it (as always). Can't wait to hear the full song.

Re: MW episode 8 : Mimi L review (71,796) (71,806) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
While that is true, it was pretty much confirmed that whatever happened was between James and M's employee, not Mariah herself. It's confirmed because it was sent to TMZ and TMZ gets "leaks" directly from Stella. Setting that aside, this isn't the only questionable thing though. They changed a lot of things, which they themselves have confirmed (some even on the show) before. For example in the beginning of the show it's shown that Stella asks Mariah to postpone the wedding and Mariah agrees, James was upset about that but he tells M to figure it out and agrees to wait. But this episode Stella says that James pushed back the first wedding date. Then it was pretty much confirmed that James left Mariah (various reasons came up, none of which were confirmed) but in the show, by the end, they show that Mariah has a change of heart and decides she can't be with James because he's not a good guy, so she called off the wedding. The song that she's promoting by saying it's about her break up from James, doesn't even sound like it's about James. Yet they are pushing it as a stunt. So there is a lot of shady business going on.

She can play victim and shift blame all she wants, but she's the problem. She wants to be worshiped 24/7 and be all loony tune but when shit hits the fan Mariah acts all innocent, sad and mopey and goes on a full attack. No independent person can tolerate all that craziness on a daily basis.

Re: MW finale plot twist? (71,800) (71,804) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It gets really hard to defend Mariah when she herself is sabotaging her image and career. Around the end of the show I think she says something about she hopes people will understand why she did what she had to do or that people won't understand. But then how can you expect people to understand when you, yourself, have been showing people how you have been in flirting and semi cheating on your fiance all throughout the show and partying with her crew but whenever James comes, she's suddenly too busy to give him any time. Even if we ignore whatever was shown on MW, let's just take into account all the snap chat videos we saw of Bryan and Tanaka getting cozy and him wearing her robe and all that crap, had the table been turned, how would she react to see James grabbing and groping at his female employees and making them sit on his lap and then putting up pictures of said female employee in his night robes? Even until the last part, in the gazebo when M and Tanaka were talking and she said she's upset but she thinks he has his "own set of issues" with her, I thought, maybe finally she'll turn it around and say that "look I know you probably like me in a way, but sorry, I don't like you like that, I like you as my friend". I was really hoping for that but then she goes and does those fake kissing scenes, which we now know was shot over a two day period, day 1 was the sunset scenes, where she has her hair and makeup done and those close up were shot and day 2 is when they took long distance photos and her makeup wasn't done and those pictures got leaked. Both of them were wearing the same outfit to make it look like it was the same day and yet we are supposed to believe this staged 2 day event is reality.

Re: MW episode 8 : Mimi L review (71,783) (71,803) by Edward from USA
In the next season of Mariah's World: Tanaka has another accident but his other leg is affected. Mariah realizes she ain't dating no limping man. Tanaka gets mad and reveals that Mariah only has two pieces of hair left on her head. Stella shows her Alpha power by slapping Takana for messing with her secret love. Mariah brings the rest of her body out of the closet (legs and arms). Stella and Mariah get married. Season 3, Stella and Mariah get pregnant in vitro and both end up with triplets. Since Mariah can't drink during this time, her voice improves and we get a new album called "She got me feeling emotions". Show gets cancelled when E. can't provide an independent camera for each of the six new babies.

Re: Tommy Mottola (71,798) (71,802) by RibbonB from USA
Well lot's of others have said he was obsessed and possessive of her, which might have stifled a young vibrant, talented singer in her prime. She definitely wasn't happy after sacrificing her youth and getting snubbed at the Grammy's. Mariah likes power, influence or seems to settle for a yes person who will fawn all over her until she or they gets bored. Marriage and divorce is a two ways street. This past year was a long script, a reenactment of edited moments IMO. Mishka got launched , MC and hired hand became "dumb ass" and "best dumb ass ever", their words and sealed it with a kiss and a lap dance and a hope to share more of their "journey" in a season two.

Re: Tommy Mottola (71,798) (71,801) by Candy from Hong kong
I've been believing this for about 10 years. I like Tommy Mottola actually, how he styled Mariah and kept what happened with Mariah during their relationship/divorce more private. Mariah been writing songs and singing about the "abuse" for many years in different albums, bad-mouthing Mottola. When I saw the Barbara Walters interview when dembabies were 6 months old, how she said she trust Nick "sometimes", she basically has no respect for her husbands. Not on TV neither in real life. MW confirms that she also has no respect for her fiancé. I hate those songs/interviews which she about the Mottola abuse very much. He helped her a lot with her career. Same as Packer, he gave her a 10 million dollar ring, and the way she took it off in the video is disgusting. He respected her enough to design and presented her the ring, she was emotionally cheating on him on TV for the whole world to watch.

Re: MW finale plot twist? (71,799) (71,800) by RibbonB from USA
Yeah she doesn't want to be in a equally yoked relationship as NC said. I remember on The View, she sang his praises, but mentioned that he disagrees with her and she doesn't like that. This was on The View, not to mention her 20/20 interview. She should take note of the excellent NE song by Jam and Lewis: "Can You Stand the Rain" or she will always be looking for new, which wears off. The same can be said for anyone, sure. And Licia, Mimi L. did you guys catch that JD IG post from the summer when Mariah was photographed in studio with JD and she had the ring off and JD called out Nick in a funny way like " You see that N-word, you see that?" M. had a different kind of look on her face. I was expecting some kind of diss song or something from that little leak. I couldn't find the post last week to post it here, but I definitely saw it. Lo and behold this lilttle JD ditty referencing a painful breakup, not a painful "I sabotaged my rebound engagement all spring and summer and got dumped because he was sick of my circus", but you know me and my observations Mollie L.

I was kind of hoping that would be the plot twist. I don't think either of them want to be together especially if he stands up her and her crew now. Lol. No man in a relationship would put up with Stella and the crew. That's too much.

Tommy Mottola (71,798) by T from USA
With Mariah now turning this all on James (even though we know she was one that was dumped) by saying how much hell he put her through. Now I'm starting to wonder if Tommy Mottola was really as bad as Mariah said he was. Or does she just have a pattern of playing the victim?

Re: MW episode 8 : Mimi L review (71,790) (71,797) by Musti from UK
I feel the same about the lyrics. They feel like a reference to Nick rather than James. "Somewhere in another life", "leaving you was my worst fear". Even the "no more tears" lyric. She had sung a snippet of Barbra and Donna's "No More Tears" during The Elusive Chanteuse Show after the breakup with Nick. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it. The lyrics overall are way beneath her, with her grammar reaching new lows. The song itself sounds alright, better than some of the other non-album tracks she's released like Triumphant and Infamous. I still think she should stop releasing JD-produced singles though. Perhaps the fact that they know each other so well is the very reason why they're back in Mariah's musical comfort zone. They no longer push each other. ABMB, How Much, The One, half of TEOM were all amazing but they've practically stopped creating new sounds since TEOM. I don't think it's a terrible song. I was just expecting more. Maybe she's no longer as innovative as she once was. Or maybe she just doesn't care. I'll buy the song when it's released and hope for something better in the near future.

Let's not forget that a huge section of the Mariah and James story is missing i.e. the fight on the yacht that occured between SA and Hawaii. Whatever happened on that boat, could be what Mariah refused to talk about on the show etc. and what she may or may not be talking about in the song snippet.

Re: MW episode 8 : Mimi L review (71,790) (71,795) by Licia from USA
So now that the mess fest show is over maybe they can focus on the song and properly promote it. It's probably not a good idea to stay on a social media hiatus with new music coming out. With the exception of fans I don't really think anyone else knows. All the fans on Twitter are talking about a nineteenth number one, but without great promotion and the general public's help this song may not turn into the hit number 1 chasers want. Ill just be happy if it turns into a halfway decent song. Lol.

Re: MW finale plot twist? (71,789) (71,794) by RibbonB from USA
Lol no it was just my opinion of "good" or at least better than the alternatives, but when she played "Camouflage" and I also heard that she played "Cry" in the final episode, I thought that she might want time alone to think things over or even consider going back with Nick. Did anyone notice that MW official twitter posted that he is the only one who can stand up to the queen? But I think it is true that he does not want to go back, certainly not to her plus her entourage of kiss asses. No man in a serious relationship would want their life televised like that, which is why I never believed James and definitely don't believe the hired help. But people do lots of stuff for a check and fame and Mariah may very well be that narcissist that I keep hearing about. She really is morphing into a "Careydashian".

I really loved Madonna's first cd with Holiday and all those great songs and Janet's Control is a classic. I really want to hear the demos Mariah is talking about, where are they? The demo alone is probably so pretty.

Yes, there so much to say about the song, the lyrics, the intention but it's pretty decent so I'll just pass on it. Now, all it needs is a killer video and not a generic Mariah body touching moment, like give us something new this time please.

Re: Mariah's World: Finale aka Dear Lord no S2 (71,771) (71,791) by RibbonB from USA
Lol it's funny and sad all the people who really thought she wasn't going exactly where she projected she was going with this show and story line. People were like, oh Tanaka is gay, he is bi, these are skits, these are jokes. The joke is on her fans. Many are cool with it though. She comes off as totally inauthentic and not very likeable IMO, but she definitely has committed to her part. If she proceeds with number two, I hope she doesn't do a Sherrie Shepard and agree to a surrogate baby with the help. Sherrie is paying child support for 18 years for a baby that is not even hers. She totally played herself too. Women do wacky stuff sometimes. Oh well.

Re: MW episode 8 : Mimi L review (71,773) (71,790) by RibbonB from USA
Well obviously I didn't get my one good outcome. I am still hoping for no season two of Mariah's World. They really got out their revisionist pens for this one it seems. Glad the family part with Nick and his mom was good and cute at least. They do seem the only realistic thing. I heard the longer snippet and clips of it on Twitter and it sounds OK, but as I thought, Mariah makes herself out to be the victim. Very Trump like again with the "alternative facts". The lyrics seem to be very much about Nick though, especially since she hardly had time with James, nor did she seem to develop and closeness with him and we all know he said I don't. They all made it clear that she got dumped and was still waiting for her fee so I still don't get why she is still wearing the ring and why they were just filming scenes last week etc. Oh well, time to let this puzzle go and listen out for any good new music. If she wants to sell fake melodramatic music, it might be good not to show all the mess behind the curtain while filming and recording. As always, I hope the kids are doing OK in all of this mess.

Re: MW episode 8 : Mimi L review (71,781) (71,788) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
For sure there will be more of those awkward dance steps that they do everytime they see each other, whether it's at the bar, in the house, at the gazebo or on the beach. Stella will be lurking in the shadows like she does everytime M and Tanaka are alone and eventually come out when things turn a little too much, because she needs to ensure her position isn't taken by anyone.

Re: MW episode 8 : Mimi L review (71,783) (71,787) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha absolutely. Ain't no way Stella will allow anyone to have Mariah but herself. In season 2 we'll see how Tanaka was only using Mariah and Stella is the only one who loved Mariah unconditionally and with all her heart.

Re: Nevermind, it's a bop (71,782) (71,786) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The longer version does make the song sound more promising. I just wish the lyrics were a bit better though. I have always been a fan of Mariah's lyrics because they are always so unique and poetic. Anyways I might change my mind when I hear the full song. However I don't think that at some point in the song she'll say it's partly her fault, especially after the latest episode where she basically talked about how "he's put her through hell" and how horrible the relationship was. They are trying to turn it around by saying M was the one who got hurt because James was bad and so M dumped him. Throughout the season there wasn't even 1 scene where James and Mariah were alone talking, it was always her arriving at a public place/party with her entourage and then basically "socializing" with James for a few hours and going back home. Whereas there are so many scenes of her alone with Tanaka and flirting. How can a relationship survive like that? We don't get this feeling just from MW though, remember we were all talking about how M is never alone on dates with Packer because her entourage is always there in paparazzi shots? So weird. In the scene where they were trying to figure out (or Stella basically rejecting) the wedding date, Mariah was like "oh well what about the 16th?" And Stella is like "no you're not available". I'm like what? She can't take a date off for her wedding? Even regular people get days off. Funny to say "oh we can't be together, our schedules don't match".

MW #8 is the best episode: Nick and Mariah (71,785) by Sheila from United States
The song does remind me of Infinity. But a little more radio friendly, at least she gave us a slight piano moment, a VOL vocal run moment and she gave fierce fashion and glamour in this episode. Finally. The highlight for me was not the song, but Nick and Mariah. It was the rare authentic moment, and that's the "real" Mariah. Loved it so much.
