If we don't like her antics, it's because we've seen the humble Mariah who we could relate to. If we could only praise Mariah here, the messageboard would be very dull. It's just entertainment (72,241) by Geronimo from USA Mariah Carey is one of the most successful female musicians in the history of American pop music. 27 years into her career she is doing what she wants to do and remains in the spotlight according to her wishes and wealthy according to her labor. It's hilarious to listen to people write with passionate trepidation and self righteous judgment concerning what she should do and what she shouldn't do and how she should manage her own legacy – as if she hasn't already accomplished more than almost any other artist of her caliber, style, demographic, generation and skill set. For whatever reason, she likes to play up the sexy cougar act. She is an entertainer so it is not necessary to be unhappy about her clothes, her body or her most recent song. The new song is catchy, becoming successful and that should be the only thing that matters because Mariah Carey is just an entertainer. I hope people who only have anxiety and negativity to share post after post will soon get better therapy, meet some friends, find a grown-up's hobby or find another artist to write about online. She said she'll release more albums in the future and that she hopes to perform I Don't on a television program but doesn't know which. I don't understand how this hasn't already been organised by her management if they really want the single to do well. I see potential in the song to possibly reach the top 20 in the US charts but it needs to be promoted. It was doing surprisingly well and some promo would really help give it the boost it needs. I Don't video (72,228) by Mike from FL, USA I just have to say how damn hot MC looks at the end of the video in that red dress. The shot of her walking behind the fire with her eyes locked on the camera - so hot. I personally love the song. I can say that I have not hit replay this many times on any one song of hers since Don't Forget About Us. Alas, I don't think it will go very far; of course I'm hoping for the best, but I dunno. I for one am just so happy that she is still making music and making me feel something, anything haha. Idk if the disconnect between the hard core fans speaks more to how high we have the bar for her or how low the general public has for her at this point. I think if this was just an album cut we would all be fine with the song for sure. But I am glad that non fans are receiving it well. I even heard it play at a club here last night. A first for new Mariah music (I'm used to hearing Honey or Heartbreaker in a little throwback club moment). Still hoping for her to change it up and surprise us again. Ironically, the lyrics match a situation that I'm going through at the moment, so once again, Mariah has written a song that accurately talks about what I'm feeling right now. Good job. As someone who lost an entire year of high school because of bullying I can definitely say it's great people don't just stand on the lines watching anymore and that includes the internet. Mariah could do with some good press and comments, really hard to shake off her last mess and the blaming game. At least she is owning it with new material and the Lego voice acting. The dark and light tones in Mariah's hair brings out and enhances those beautiful bambi brown eyes. These pics have a Butterfly/TEOM vibe. Love it. On another note, the party was for different radio DJ's, internet personalities, music producers, writers/bloggers from different music websites, etc. What a great idea. You know I'm really feeling the promotion. Love the way Mariah is making herself accessible and reaching out. Hopefully she does the samething in New York and even possibly the ATL. Number one video (72,220) by RibbonB from USA Well M. has the number one video on iTunes even though the song has dropped to number 25. She is making money off of this, but its impact on radio is still to be determined. Great to see New Edition still getting a big bounce from their recent biopic. They still have three old videos in the top 25 and about 5 of their old videos in the top 100. That is pretty cool. A biopic can really help if done right. I hope Mariah doesn't do hers for another 5 years or more even though Crustella is indicating that one is in the works. She should definitely have a full album ready when and if she does do a biopic.
