But I do believe she has these next 2-3 years to be a bit more risky. I really hope if she's going this urban route she goes all the way for a new album. Do the rap album you've always wanted to do Mariah. Get YG, DJ Khalid, Travis Scott, Timbland, the Weeknd and please Lil Kim and go hard on the next album (and Beyonce if you can). Mariah hosted a party (72,213) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So seems like Mariah hosted a party for some sorts for "I Don't" where she invited people from the media and radio among other people. She looked absolutely stunning. Everything from her hair and makeup to her dress was great. Even though the dress exposed a lot of Mimi, it still doesn't look trashy or obnoxious. Here is another photo from the night. I don't know what exactly the party was for, but I'm guessing it's for promotions. Popular YouTuber Pactrick Starr was also there and teasing about a possible collaboration, which would be a good idea. She should get Bart Baker to parody her video, that always gets the streams up. And look at how amazing Mariah looks here. Exactly like she did during TEOM. Just in case you all were worried, Tanaka was there too. Here is a video with the boy toy. Or maybe those people are just some of JLo and Demi fans because when I watched some of the reaction videos for it, they all said that Mariah still looks good for her age and the song is good, even the casual people who just clicks the video because it's the #1 trending. Last year I heard it all the time, this year I only heard it on radio once. What surprised me even more is last year it went up so high on views, but this year was less than half compared to last. How tough the competition is changes from year to year. Mariah will need a lot of Vevo views, streaming from Spotify, radio play, and sales to have a hit. Quite frankly, all I think Mariah needs to do is get passionate about something. Her music does best when it comes from the heart rather than from hype. Less frosting and more cake. Mariah is singing at the Jazz Festival in Dubai toward the middle of this month. Dubai is getting really excited and Mariah called in to a local radio station last week for an interview. I don't always agree with some of the things George says, but I do understand where he's coming from at times. It's frustrating to witness this downward spiral. I'm not in love with I Don't, but I don't necessarily hate it. It's a leap above Crapfinity, but I still believe she could have done better. I don't think any of us hate her (even dildo man lol). Of course physical and digital sales contribute the most chart points but how will a song get mass exposure? Through radio. By having great airplay gains, more people will be exposed to the song and some who like the song will either stream it, buy it or both. Or, the second option is to have it viral through social media through some "challenges" (think Harlem Shake, Juju on that Beat, Bad and Boujee, Black Beatles). That means the song will be a hit through streaming, which seems to happen more and more frequently. So to have I Don't be a #1 or AIWFCIY be a #1, they need to gain airplay like crazy or be used in some sort of funny challenge. (Sunday 5 February 2017; 3:08)

The iTunes website hasn't updated yet, as it was showing "I Don't" at #44 last night. The "real-time" reports show the song is currently at #23 - which is still good but I'm wondering how far it'll drop after Lady Gaga's performance at the Super Bowl tomorrow. Outside this forum on IG or YT I always defend MC 100% and I'm very positive, quite enthusiastic with her projects, I do share a bit of criticism but I feel that to me, personally, this board is my way of vent things and also find other people's honest opinions which many times go along with my thoughts. This is a Mariah board afterall, IG, FB, YT, all those are public and truth is I don't want to put my idol down in front of the general public. You don't talk your private issues in public but in your home. This is like my home where I can express how I feel, sometimes good , sometimes bad. Surely I'm not alone in this. I love Mariah even in her wackiest moment and I don't want to bash her in public, I stay positive always nonetheless hoping she will find a fresh sound, for now I find comfort in her beautiful voice. I was glad to see the general public received the song that well, shame that the same can't be said about the video, it's like there was no effort. We will see how it does now, it's still in the US iTunes top 10. Maybe a push and will get to Billboard too. I have to say this out loud, there's a fair amount of garbage right now on Billboard charts, I honestly can expect anything for "I don't" which is not bad. I can't say the video will have that many more views, like darling this_is_qhm said, will anyone press the repeat button? I know I did but then I like seeing Mariah even if it's just her having a moment with herself haha but what about the general public? Mariah should keep friendship with Stella if that's what she wants, I'm nobody in her life to tell her who to hang with, no denial they have fun together, they could have side projects and such, but as manager Mariah needs someone new, we can all see that and I think as a fan and follower I can definitely suggest her that.
