Re: Cut Mimi some slack (73,011) (73,025)

So with you Alex. It's like some people here spend too much time scrutinizing others lives and jumping to conclusions. Some here are just bad spirited and to me, I don't even know who they are referring to anymore. Is it still Mariah or the impression of her they get through their dark glasses? I mean you have to be pretty dark to believe that Mariah is a bad person when all she's been giving us for all those years is positivity, rainbows and butterflies. Maybe she has a right to stop being so nice to everybody within the industry when this very same industry clearly takes advantage of her and don't respect who she is and what she's done. What if in the end all Mariah's doing is trying to protect herself and her legacy for herself, her children, her lambs? I love you Mariah Carey.

She needs to call the real Olivia Pope and cut ties with Stella, Tonka, Mishka and all associated parties. It is time for her to move on and save herself and her children. Give herself a break.

Exactly Gigi. I did a lot of not so kiddy stuff growing up, but nobody knew but my parents and my sisters. They certainly didn't advertise stuff that they knew I should not have been doing as a child. As you said alot of this stuff does not need to be put out so publicly. Doesn't matter whether or not she was even serving drinks (I don't believe she was). If the girl was 17 or 18 I wouldn't even care, but because she's so young it makes them look bad.

It's a bad thing, sorry. We've read and heard enough stories from child actors, etc. who have grown up in the spotlight to know that this type of exposure normally leads to a troubled adulthood. As a parent, you should want to protect your children's innocence as much as possible, right? I get that you may have made a drink for your father, but I'm guessing he didn't take pictures of you doing it and hand them out to your family and friends to cherish forever. This is where the problem lies with Stella and Mariah. If stuff like this goes on, why does the general public need to know about it? Why does Stella want to create controversy for Mariah? What was the purpose of those pictures? What good has come from them? Is she trying to convey that Mariah has no other friends besides herself, Bryan and a 13-year-old? Is this what we're supposed to be "hating" on, Stella? I don't get it. Mariah may later say that she had no idea they were going to post those photos on Instagram, but she knows they do post controversial photos behind her back (as proven on MW) - so why take the risk? Anyway, I am looking forward to her live performance.

Article: Why NYE performance was a "chaotic mess" (73,018)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
Well at least she is taking some responsibility for her NYE debacle and she still blames her dancers and her whole team, but it really seems like she blames DCP. Of her paid escort she says it's more private, but she put it on a reality show. She doesn't want to talk about it, but says it's nothing new we all saw the show that was scripted. Bless her heart and where are her friends?

by Malcolm from Asia

If she's not really upset why bother giving a commentary like that? Just get over with it already, she's just adding fuel to the fire. I can't believe that she stoop down to this level, she's an artist and a musician for goodness sake. I guess it's really hard to do a damage control when your team are the one who damages your reputation in the first place. Wake up Mariah.

Mariah does look like her 2008 self recently and those pictures of her in Dubai, she looks like a model. The woman has great skin and that's why she looks way younger than her years. It's crazy how sometimes she looks like she is in her late 20s. If only she'd get a great stylist, there would be no stopping her fashion wise. As for Stella, she's a thirsty wannabe gangster with zero talent who leeched on to a successful artist. What is keeping her afloat is her A+ ability to kiss ass. She talks big about empowering women yet she votes for Trump and where was she during the Women's March? Her idea about empowering women is sitting with her middle fingers up, posting pictures of her kids doing stuff kids shouldn't do, posing in another person's jet and mansions pretending it's her lifestyle and all those phony things.

No, not at all. I think Mishka is just being goofy, cheeky whatever you wanna call it. They're on a trip of a lifetime time and living in the moment. Yes, I'm sure she is exposed to more than the average adolescent but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Side note: I used to make my dad his gin and tonic when I was younger. He only had one as a night cap and it made me feel good to do it.

So you don't see anything wrong with a child being pictured like she's serving alcohol to an adult? Ok. I guess that's normal in some people's minds. *shrugs*

Cut Mimi some slack (73,011)
by Alex from United States

I don't understand what the big deal is over Stella's IG pic. Seriously, a lot of people on this board are super critical and uptight. Mimi is only having a splash of what looks like a Baileys Irish Cream on what was a 16 hour flight. Miska is just being a kid and playing for the camera. Trust me, Mariah has given me cringe worthy moments throughout her career. I'm also inbetween on Stella. I don't know all that goes on behind the scenes and I also believe MC is aware of her perception to lambs and the gp. I think she said it best when she asked the recent interviewer "Why do I have to make 5 million comebacks?" The gp and the lambs are so fickle and so easy to overlook all that Mariah has accomplished and created. If she "bowed out gracefully" she'd be forgotten except for the occasional "throwback moment". Let's not kid ourselves, all the greats disappear over time. 50 years from now she'll be remembered as the over the top sexy diva with an incredible voice and genius song writing skills.

I know I'm a bit late with this, but how stunning does Mariah look here? She's so gorgeous that she doesn't always have to be showing off skin in tight hugging dresses. Look I'm all for wearing whatever you want, but there's a fine line between confidence and desperation. I would absolutely love if she went with this kind of look more. It's beautiful.

She looks lovely. I bet she will go with the elegant gowns now for this festival. Anyone knows what exactly she will sing by the way? Wished she did vocal rest, laid the alcohol and sang something out of the blue just to surprise us like The Wind. Don't think that will ever happen.

She looks amazing. She's got her body back and she looks like she did in 2008. Her recent performance on Kimmel was a step in the right direction but Stella and Company have to go. Why would Stella allow her daughter to post a picture that not only makes her client look bad but makes her look like a bad mother? She'll just say go [censored] yourself loose my number Mariah's on fire empower your girls.

The thing is that CPS can't really do anything because the children look healthy, happy, dress appropriately, don't look beaten, etc. and no one has done a formal complaint in order to start an investigation. Can't really point fingers and say ah when there's only a pic of a 13 years old holding a bottle (which doesn't imply she is drinking), going to a weed store where it is legal (and again can't imply she is doing drugs just because adults purchase), there is only one video with her having a drink in the hand and playing the fool falling over (playing and pretending isn't the same as actually being drunk, cam it be proved?). I'm not defending or arguing against it, just saying the reasons why nothing is happening and the father doesn't seem concerned, which brings the other point, what if the father is not a good father/person and it is why he is never in the picture. I have friends whose ex partners are better completely away from the kids because they are toxic men. The CPS won't do anything unless someone calls them, once (not long ago) in the US a child who was playing in his home front yard was taken by the CPS and the mother was arrested in plain view of everyone, the crime, the child was playing alone, in the yard and the person who called CPS thought he was unsupervised but the mother was looking from the kitchen, the child was like 10 years old. The child was removed from the mother for almost 48 hours and the mother was kept arrested. I found it so crazy. So, any of you who complain so much, who is going to call the CPS and separate two kids who look happy and healthy from their "psycho" mother? Really I dare you. I'm not a Stella fan and I have doubts about many things but who is up for breaking a family that's already broken to start with as the father is nowhere to be seen, unless Stella decided to have them for herself as an arragement with the dad, we don't know the story.

That would be so nice and a welcome change. I'm always Team Gown as long as the dress is well made, actually her size, and the plunge is tasteful/decent. Mariah can look amazing when she wants to.
