Video hidden message (72,190) by Ryan Kane from KY
Anyone else notice that at the end of the "I don't" video when she is in the red dress that she flips off the camera? Not only does she flip the camera off, but she has the engagement ring on that finger at that point. You can tell it was intentional. Makes me laugh. I like it. I'm just surprised that no articles have mentioned it, especially the one that was talking about Mariah giving James the middle finger with the video and song when she literally does.

Showbiz 411 (72,189) by B from USA
The Showbiz 411 article is harsh. Roger is obviously a Cindy loyalist. However, I think he makes a few good points. Stella's blushstastic reign of bra out terror needs to come to an end before Mariah's career is ruined beyond repair.

Weirdest video ever (72,188) by Martyn from England, UK
Somebody on my Facebook just posted this video. So weird, but absolutely hilarious.

#17 (72,187) by Myles from CT, USA
The song is quickly descending and I am shocked it stayed in the top ten as long as it did. A top ten on Billboard would be nice but where's the promo? Her team sucks. But she allows it. They both suck quite frankly.

No rap edit (72,186) by RibbonB from USA
This edit is pretty laid back. YG still in BG, but no full rap.

Wow, I just heard it on a rnb/hip hop station.

I also love the #Beautiful remix with Jazzy. They do make magic together.

Is "I Don't" "Up Out My Face" 2.0? (72,183) by RibbonB from USA
I actually liked Up Out My Face song and video. They were both fun and vibrant. "Up Out" even had one of the first mainstream moments for Nicki Minaj. The video was cool, went viral early and had a good run on BET's video show 106 and Park. But it never really made it to radio and fairly quickly dropped off. I just see some parallels with YG, minus the cute video. I do think this project is geared for that young, Kardashian type fan base and pubescent boys as someone noted. The conflict Mariah creates for herself is appealing to one fan base at the expense of the other part that cringes. I guess she is tired of middle ground and is going for extremes. I just wish she could be inspired to write some really inspired lyrics. She has gone from super wordy Memoirs era songs to sparsely worded trap songs. I hope she soon hits that perfect balance of well distilled lyrics and good music.

Re: Live performance? (72,177) (72,182) by RibbonB from USA
Although a reenactment on Kimmel or James Cordin's show might be of value. It might need to be an intended parody moment. A regular performance is too ripe for failing IMO.

General public (72,181) by lil star from untied states
It's so strange that outside of this message board (and most of the main stream media) that the new song and even video are getting allot of love. My Facebook stream (mostly gays) is flooded with positive reviews and remarks from "slay mamma", "slaying the looks", "speaking my feelings", "love this song my new jam". Most from people that have never said they were even fans of MC and some that even hate her. I'm guessing there's a disconnect between the hard core fans and the public. Also most of those people are the same people obsessed with Kim K and family lol. Not saying I'm fully on board but I also don't hate everything. The song is good, not great, not bad. The video isn't horrible besides a few outfits and awkward movements. I'm hoping this is a small step in a better direction. But we all need to give up on Mariah going classy anytime soon. If she does make an album this is her last chance to act young and maybe she knows it too.

Re: Live performance? (72,177) (72,180) by RibbonB from USA
Please no, I don't think a live performance of this song is a good thing. Too ripe for more "sabotage". First she would have to perform it to a track, which is thin and sketchy to begin with. One sound problem and it is NYE debacle on steroids. It is an OK trap beat for radio or streaming, but what would she do with it on stage, pose and flail around? That one Beautiful remix performance on BET was disastrous IMO. Leaving this as a one off single with video might be all it needs.

I don't song and video (72,179) by Giovanni from USA
I have to say I'm disappointed. I can't decide which is worst. The song or the video. Why does Mariah feel the need to collaborate with lame rappers, act sexy and look so desperate? She's so much better than that. She certainly can make better music. This song isn't going anywhere. At this point I've lost all hope for a comeback. I will always love her but I can't with these low quality songs.

Some come here (72,178) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Let me be the first to say I don't always agree with everything that Mariah does and I have come to this message board to express my thoughts. But any chance I get I come here to read others comments on various topics regarding MC, and I have to say some people just come here to spread negative vibes and energy on a daily basis. If you feel like Mariah does not interest you any longer why bother coming to a Mariah Carey message board to say the same thing over and over we get it you don't care for her or her music anymore which is fine but I feel you should go to a message board of an artist or artists that you actually like than coming here to express the same nonsense that no one cares to read about any longer. In the words of MC herself; be nice or leave.

Re: Live performance? (72,174) (72,177) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I really hope she has some performance appearances lined up. They are sending the song to many stations, but they need to go all out with promo if they want a hit. So far it's doing really well and the video is still trending #1 on YouTube, thanks mostly to (1) lambs (2) prepubescent thirsty boys (3) people clicking to see her burn her wedding dress. Haha kidding, but it's always nice to see Mariah doing well. No matter how much I disagree with some of her recent actions, I get really happy when I see Mariah doing well.

Re: What advice would you give Mariah? (72,170) (72,176) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
1) Learn to love yourself and rely on yourself instead of surrounding yourself with only people on your payroll who will never tell you the real truth if it's harsh. Coming from a broken home and darn near poverty, you have turned yourself into a multimillionaire, and one of the most successful artists in the world, in a profession that you have always dreamed of succeeding in. You have proven that with talent and hard work, anything is possible. You have come a long way on your own so trust yourself and appreciate yourself. Behind the over the top diva, I believe there is a very insecure person who constantly needs validation. Don't let people take advantage of that anymore.
2) Give Stella the heave ho and lure Benny Medina back into her squad.
3) Wear clothes that are classier, no one is asking her to cover up but going out for a stroll on bodysuits and fishnets or with her undergarments worn as the main ensemble does nothing to flatter her. She's a beautiful woman and she can dress sexy but with class. (I'll assist B here and plug in "hire Rachel Zoe".)
4) Let other people write songs for you, you have proven time and again that you can write songs from any genre and come up with the most brilliant lyrics, you have nothing left to prove. Let others write a few songs for you, just to see how it goes and since you have already given up shame with the publicity stunts, might as well use some current young artists to get some help on the charts. Again, I think she can very well in Top 40 by herself but hopping on to a song with a current artist will open her up to newer audience.

Re: Why are you here: George Golden from UK (72,169) (72,175) by Anonymous from
Well it's nice to see your humble with your response George, some people on here get really defensive and start curising or even worse become vulgar because you don't agree with there opinion. Your response was refreshing. I do like the song but I respect your opinion, sometimes the passion in us ignites some anger. You've let it out and should never not be honest, at least you have reflected and explained your side wisely, I respect that. I think most of us have flown off the handle in regards to Mariah's antics from time to time, were only human. Just don't become consumed with bitterness or hate like some people have expressed about Mariah. I see no point of following her if you reach such depths of anger on a daily basis that you resort to sexual prfofanitys such as dildos, that's just well extra and way over the top.

Another #1 (72,160) (72,173) by Edward from USA
I think Mariah can still get another #1 hit if two things happen: First, the song have to be great and radio friendly. Second, she would have to collaborate with a very relevant artist who would demand things to be done right, and not half-cooked or rushed.

What advice would you give Mariah? (72,170) by Danny from Uk
Knowing we all love Mariah and we have so many strong opinions and thoughts about her and on Stella, her career and personal life, what advice would you give Mariah? Just thinking about keeping it simple and honest.

Re: Why are you here: George Golden from UK (72,159) (72,169) by George Golden from UK
I am here because I have been invested in MC since 92 when a friend of mine gave me her first cassette and I never returned it. Lol. She was so amazing and untouchable back then that I just can't get my head around why everything is crazy now. I didn't mean to vent like that, I am just upset.

Current era in music (72,168) by darrian liu from taiwan
Somehow, you don't need talent to be played on radio these days, but I think an increasing number of young people (including me) are starting to appreciate and prefer talent over buzz and sex. Adele is one example. Another example is one of my favorite acts of all time, Twenty One Pilots, which has a huge fanbase (most of them are my age group, 17-25) and they're insanely talented, vocally, lyrically, and melodically. I think more young people are fed up with the plastic trash on the radio (out of 10 songs on the radio, usually I would only enjoy 1 or 2). This means classy and talented acts will dominate soon, which means Mariah would have a chance at recapturing her crown (that is, if she puts her talent over her tittays instead of otherwise).

Video is not bad but not stellar (72,167) by Randy from USA
And just like I don't hate the song, I don't hate the video. I just don't understand why she feels the need to try so hard to be sexy. What is she going through internally? I mean you can't deny she looks great in the red dress and the black dominatrix ensemble but in that back seat she looks like, someone said it already, soft porn. Why is she rubbing herself? Does she know she's a almost 47 year old mother of twins? I hate to echo everyone here but if you wouldve told me in 1995 she would be doing this at damn near 50, I would've laughed you out of the country. But I would have never believed Trump would be president either. Maybe we're living in an alternate universe. Somewhere there was a stoppage of time and nearing the edge, oblivious we all fell right over.

Re: Random songs (72,153) (72,166) by THE TRUTH from USA
Is that a serious question? It's called payola. They stay on charts as long as the label or artist is willing to pay for that chart position.
