Re: Special interview (71,491) (71,512)

This interview is amazing. It's probably the most honest I have ever heard from her. Ever. It shows that: 5. Mariah really is a songwriter. You can tell it from her choice of words. 4. Mariah does care about what people say about her. Or at least the '90s version of herself did. 3. The diva persona is really a running joke that has progressed into, as we know now, a larger-than-life caricature that has taken on a life of its own. 2. To say that Mariah respects her influences is an understatement. 1. Mariah really knows her stuff. Seriously. The link to this interview should be reposted here every once in a while to remind us of how Mariah really is, as opposed to the shallow, self-absorbed cheating gold digger image our dear friend Stella has worked so hard to cultivate for her.

I always state my love for Almost Home in my previous post. At first, I thought the song was more "Celine" than MC. For me, it's similar with I'm Alive or One Heart. Of course the "Celine" elements started to fade with her whistles register. Like The One, Almost Home is in my permanent playlist.

This clip is so cool. It's impossible not to love Mariah after watching this. Anybody else think "Almost home" was great and should have been a hit? First time I thought too much autotune, but now I really love that song.

This interview is wonderful. Yes it shows how clever she is and I love how she talks. For me this is the real Mariah, the Mariah I love. That's one reason I can't watch MW. It's boring and my eyes hurt if I have to watch Stella and the empower clan. Lol.

Sister Wives is taken, it was number 3 in the same ratings list. They could try "Diva and Mud Duck Dynasty". I meant the urban dictionary definition of Mud Duck, FYI. Mudduck, adjective to describe an ugly female. Mud is for the make-up caked on, and duck because she's no swan.

The Social (Canada's version of The View) (71,503)
by Matty from Vancouver Canada

I'm just saying. Mimi should visit the ladies of The Social, they're cool, chill. I think they very accurately represent general Canadian views. Plus Canada generally supports MC (not nearly as much "hateration" press as in most countries I see posted (U.S and Uk for example), we're more on the Australian level), but it would be a fun and chill chat. Anyways [...] on this day in history, America. Stand up. I've been listing too Heavenly (No Ways Tired/Can't Give Up Now) for all of us.

Edward stop playing, you knew what that meant. I was explaining for our Brazilian lamby. And with respect to Crustacean, she should do her own show and get far away from M. and Roc and Roe please.

Ribbon, those are impressive ratings. MW scored higher than "Hoarders" and "The Young Pope", but way lower than "The Real Housewives of Atlanta". I really think Contourella should come up with her own version of "Honey Boo Boo". A good title for a show with Contourella as the main character could be "Leechers" or maybe "I Love You Meme".

The Rainbow Interlude (71,493)

I think the Rainbow Interlude is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard although short it's always been one of my favourites. I think Mariah should do more interludes.

Sorry for asking the obvious (maybe), but I've tried to figure it out myself - failed. Many lambs here have been talking about Mariah Carey's "Charmbracelet" a lot, entitling their posts with the album name followed by an intriguing "on repeat". Why? Thanks in advance. Love, appreciate and enjoy y'all, my fellow lambies.

Special interview (71,491)
by lucas from England

|

Have you heard this interview? This interview shows how intelligent Mariah is. I love how real she is here. I've listened this so many times and I still find it fascinating how open she is (she talks about her voice and songwriting, I would like to see this Mariah's world) but when I see today's Mariah it's like totally different person. Do you guys think that she is still like that somewhere deep down in her heard? (Sorry my English is not perfect, I live in Slovakia.)

The One has long been my favourite from CB, from first listen in fact. I was mortified when Boy replaced it as the second single lol. I too have played CB after reading everybody's comments. It does have some great moments. TTR remix is a great closer to the album, ending on a truly uplifting note. Surprised to see Lullaby standing out as some fan's favourite track. By the 17th chorus I'm like, end already lol.

Inauguration 2017 (71,489)

Well, in honor of Charmbracelet and Inauguration day, I dedicate "Clown" to Donald because he is not The One. Boy, on boy. Mimi L. I don't believe Mariah would have accepted an invitation to sing for Trump, but at least she wasn't asked.

This is sweet. I remember a few years back she tweeted something along the lines of "if you don't like Thank God I Found You I don't think we can be friends". She clearly likes Mariah.

Charmbracelet (71,486)
by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)

What I appreciate about this album is that there was a story being through MC's ideas and more importantly her pen. The only problem here was the whispery vocals dominated the album had she given a variety of vocal moments like she did on the Charmbracelet tour I think the album would have been a little better received even though during that time Mariah was on the outside of the industry looking in and anyone associated with her was considered wack or unpopular. For me MC is at her best when she can put a body of work together that can feed a little bit everything the pop/R&B/AC with hip hop undertones. Simply because it satisfies her entire fan base and the masses alike.
