What if she had gone the other way? (71,892) by T from USA We know know how Mariah's career has turned out in the last ten years but it's interesting to wonder what would things be like if she didn't take the E=MC2/Obsessed/I Don't route, but instead after she reached the highs of TEOM she went away and crafted a beautiful gospal album or a classic jazz record. Something where she wasn't pressured by chart success or needing to appear current and sexy for the videos or album covers. I know we wouldn't got that eighteenth number one. But what we would have is a Mariah that wouldn't have gone down the Madonna route in terms of sex appeal, and we would have a Mariah that is much more respected in general. OK scratch that - I like the eighteen number ones so maybe she could've started the mature act after 2008. BTW, who else thinks if "Obsessed" was on E=MC2 (instead of say Love Story) it would've been the most biting album of the year with almost every song hitting so hard? The cover is already getting dragged and I just don't understand why she so desperately has to look sexy and I hate to say it but Fredericks of Hollywood sexy instead of sexy without trying so hard. I take it back on the red dress shot, I'll take that over the official one. The mouth open pose, I can't. It literally looks like a porno movie cover. Sorry MC, not feeling it. Ok, I think I jumped on here to quick. I don't hate the cover after looking closer. I can honestly say this is the past professional we have seen in a long time and her face looks beautiful. I think what is throwing me off is the mouth being open. It might have looked better with a seductive stare or sly smile. Lol, I don't know but it does look like they got some stuff together on this. Oh dear (71,888) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So the clothes are progressively becoming lesser and lesser with each teaser haha, here is the latest one, and well, I can't even know what to say. I don't know if I should be happy that this actually looks like they spent some money on the video because we got 3 different looks already, or should I be scared that the next promo will be in the nude dahlin'. Mariah's World criticism (71,887) by babydoll97 from USA I personally feel like a lot of you are going too far with this "Mariah's World is the worst show to ever be on TV" b*llsh*t. Like, I'll admit the show is a mess half the time, but it's also filled with great moments. Mariah with Roc and Roe are some of the best, most genuine moments on the show. Her talking to Kristopher about her first photoshoot was great as well. Also, her talking to Shawn on the yacht was a very touching part because she talked about her terrible childhood. I do not like Stella, Tanaka, and Molly though. Tanaka is a fool for trying to push this whole "we are meant to be, she is he love of my life" s*it. (Wednesday 1 February 2017; 2:40)

He did not let her leave their home when she wanted to, did not let her dress how she wanted to, also did not let her show her true personality to the public as well. His marketing of Mariah was nothing amazing, all he did was create an image where Mariah was just this little demure wife who was very one dimensional. Boring. Mariah was abused by Tommy and she had every right to expose him for the gross person he was. I hope he does not treat Thalia like this. I'm excited to be honest (71,882) by Marissa from USA I'm seriously excited for her to drop this song you all. I haven't been excited about any music she's put out in years now. Every time I hear the extended song preview I like it more and more. I'm not going to start screaming 19th #1, but the fact that the beat is hot (listen to the preview again with headphones) and YG, one of the most popular rappers on the West Coast, will be on it really does give it a fighting chance to at least be a top 10 hit if it's promoted well. This may not be her best work in her entire career but you have to admit that it's definitely a big upgrade from Infinity. Even a non-lamb could bob their heads to it. Hopefully MW and Instagram isn't the only promotion that she'll do for it. The song's not perfect but to me it's a step in the right direction. (Wednesday 1 February 2017; 1:39)

I wish her mouth was closed though haha, it's a little awkward. But I can live with it. YG looks hot tamale. She's wearing wedding night lingerie though so I gotta prepare myself for some awkward drama but I really hope they have a good storyline and not just a mess montage of her touching herself and giving bedroom eyes to the camera. I do wonder at what point Mariah will get back to more authentic song writing and promotion. This plastic reality show promotion is a real turn off IMO. Just be good to me - now that's a single (71,872) by Anonymous from Don't get me wrong, I will listen to Mariah's new single but so far from what I've heard, I know I won't love it. When you hear a song and it strikes a cord with you, you just know. The concept of "I Don't" is immature and simply stupid, painting James to be the bad guy. I know if a man treated me so badly, I wouldn't want to have anything to do with them, including keeping the ring. So for me, I know I'm not going to connect to the song. If Mariah wants to go old school with her music (hence Donnell Jones) then it needs to have a kick to it and "Just be good to me" is simply that, it's perfection. When Mariah sings that song she's truly feeling it and I totally want to get down with the tune. For those that like or already enjoy "I don't" good for you, it could turn out to be a cut above the most recent releases, but for me it's just a "no". Can't help what I feel. The main point here is that the premise of the song is an offence before it's even been played. It is based on yet another lie. How insulting for Mariah to peddle this nonsense. This isn't new though, she has been saying this in almost all interviews that she has worked with some people that fans have been asking her to collaborate with but won't reveal it because she doesn't want the concept stolen. We'll know tonight if for the second day countdown she uses a different picture. This might now be the final cover. As for the ring, the woman really needs to take it off and turn it into another piece of jewellery, like a pendant or something.
