He said Mariah didn't have to prove herself since she is a legend and that certain actions don't seem her style and more like Stella's. Wendy agreed. It's really laughable how much she's acting like a 5 year old who doesn't want to take any responsibility for her own life. If Mariah's letting someone take this much control over her life then whatever happens, good or bad, is what she deserves. I understand not wanting to micromanage every detail of your life/career, but giving someone (especially an employee) total control is insane. Reminds me of how Oprah says that she personally signs every check over a certain amount of money to make sure she never loses control of her life. As much as Mariah has constantly shaded and criticized Tommy, Stella does the exact same shit that he did during their marriage. They are two sides of the same coin. Following her everywhere, having her child follow her everywhere, having her child run her social media, firing everyone in sight, being her unofficial PR person, living with her, etc. If I had to pick between the two of them, I'd take Tommy any day over her because at least he knew how to make a person successful. At least there was a payoff to the control. Stella is so everpresent that she might as well be breastfeeding Mariah and what do we have to show for that except MC being the laughing stock of the industry right now? Either Mariah is practically in love with Stella because she is the one on-call kiss-ass that she's been searching for her whole life, or she is scared of her. I think it's a combination of both. MC is good at throwing shade and holding grudges against people who came for her first, but I don't think she's as good at standing up to people who aren't being mean to her, but are nevertheless destroying her life in one way or another. She doesn't like being the bad guy and the dynamics of her relationship with Stella wouldn't make that any easier. Breaking free from Stella would be just like a divorce. They have a production company, business dealings, live together, kids love each other, Stella's whole extended family is involved. It won't be easy or pretty. The desperation of Mimi (71,096) by Edward from USA Tanaka is playing Mariah and Mosarella's game, let's not fool ourselves here with the notion that Mariah is Mary Poppins still holding her colorful umbrella helplessly while everybody takes advantage of her. She isn't, she knows what she got herself into when she got with Packer, and then not thinking the way it would make her look, she jumps into another evident fake relationship with Tanaka, it's all about the money she and Mosarella thought it would bring them. Tanaka is just playing his part just like Molly is playing hers. I never believed in any of those two relationships. Is Mariah in such need of money that she would agree with Mosarrella on a plan like that? Never thinking the way Mariah would come across jumping from one man to the other without even taking some time in between. The woman didn’t even grieve her failed marriage two seconds when she was dating Packer. Then she jumps to one of her backup dancers. Let's not put Tanaka down because he's a dancer, that doesn't make him less than Mariah. Any woman or man with kids is solely responsible when they bring men/women they bring into their kids' lives with whom they don't have a steady/serious relationship, it is not the other way around. So, let’s not look for somebody to blame when Mariah is responsible for her kids. I don't think Packer and Tanaka are necessarily bad people, one played his part, the other is playing his now. Mosarella has brought some money to Mariah, but along with the money she's also brought chaos. And no, I don't think Mariah is as a gullible to take anything Mosarella says, but she has the last word. On "Mariah's Gang", she brought back the woman who did her hair even when Mosarella didn't want her to. It's evident that at the end of the day Mariah truly manages Mariah. When Mosarella goes out there with her foul mouth on interviews is because Mariah is also Ok with it. Mariah has a cellphone, she's not blocked from the world, unless she decides not to. He has worked with Beyonce on several occasions and plays an important role in her tours too. In fact if I'm not mistaken, he left Mariah's group for 6 months in the middle to join Beyonce on the "Formation" tour, this is the time when Bryan was promoted to Creative Director but instantly banned from Caesar's by Packer (haha love that story). Anyways Anthony gets the work done, he doesn't kiss Stella's ass (everyone else does) and will fight her on behalf of his team. Like the bus incident, he did what he had to and voiced his concerns on behalf of his team, Tanaka on the other hand doesn't have a back bone and is an ass kisser. I won't lie, I find him quite cute looks wise, but he basically doesn't have a personality, whereas Anthony is handsome and has a strong personality and is goofy. Now 3 possible reasons for MC choosing Tanaka and not Burrell: 1) After being with a Mexican, an African American, white guys, and a part Italian, MC wanted to conquer the Asian market. (Diversity dahlin', diversity. Bias is bleak.) Haha. 2) Anthony has a kid and probably didn't want that foolishness. 3) Mariah needs a 24/7 kinda guy (just like Stella), who will follow her around the world like a puppy and stay with her all the time, and Anthony probably wouldn't do that because he stays booked through out, unlike Tanaka, who seems to have taken up the role of Mariah's dog Jack. He was chasing the kids while she was trying to look sexy as if he was checking her out. Women should never be impressed by how a guy is attentive of their children, in fact they should be more cautious and make sure they themselves really like the guy and that he will be around beyond a reality show season. At least JP seemed to keep a respectable distance and M. showed more precautions herself then. Nick has a song on SoundCloud where he talks about the different men coming in and out of Monroe's life, so he definitely has worries over it but I doubt he can do much. It's nothing new for women and men to have a revolving door of men and women around their kids but it seems that the other parent can only call foul if they can prove so and so person is a danger to their child. Tanaka is disgusting and his actions are that of a predator, and an obvious predator, who preys on women he sees as weak. But as you said I also wonder why she is doing the voicemail now. Is it only because of the "new year disaster"? Because of the very good advice from Tommy? (Hard to believe.) I did the original research months ago, but the promoters Mariah was talking about left an apology on their own page stating that they had a miscommunication over securing funds with their people. It was my understanding that Mariah couldn't do the tour because the people were never paid. No one's going to build her a stage if they're not paid. I don't know if the people suing are different promoters or how all that worked, but it is true one of the groups responsible did have an apology on their own website and admitted fault. If these folks are a different section than there's a chance after the original concert cancellations the ones left over wouldn't be profitable. There has to be so many concerts to make it worth the effort or she'd lose money. But, that's not how contracts work and Mariah's new touring team is very green. However, I thought she was supposed to reschedule for this year? Hopefully, something can be worked out. I'm hoping for a blessing in disguise. Mariah might finally take notice that despite her emotional relationship with Stella she's not qualified to do the job and these continual mishaps are just proof.
