Re: Message to everyone (67,106) (67,145) by 123 from USA
Hello Travon. I apologize as well. I did go in on you and I shouldn't have done that. I'm glad you are back and hope that you stay. We had a Lamb get together in the City recently and we had a blast. I would like to extend an invitation to you for our next gathering, we are for sure getting together for Mariah's World. God bless you.

Infamous (67,143) by B from USA
Infamous isn't a Mariah Carey song, it's a song Mariah Carey wrote for Empire. Stop comparing it to Mariah Carey songs.

Re: Empire (67,107) (67,142) by B from USA
In this article Sanaa Hamri talks about Mariah's appearance and Infamous. Mariah's appearance wasn't to help Jamal it was to showcase how bad his PTSD is and his growing dependence on pain pills.

Just because we're lambs doesn't mean we're not critical. There is a difference between constructive criticism and hating.

Re: New "Greatest Hits" CD? (67,136) (67,139) by B from USA
Probably not since Epic just released an updated version of #1's and we would have heard about it. I hope they reissue Mariah Carey with the demos and a box set of all of her Columbia/Sony albums. I'd also love for Sony to reissues all of her 90's singles. I had every CD single she's released until 2005 but my house burnt down and I lost all of them.

Re: [censored] Andrew (67,131) (67,137) by Michael from Edwards
If you say that the song is terrible then that is only your opinion. I love the song although it is not her best, it is much better than some of the rubbish that is out there now. Nobody is intimidated by your use of the English language as you claim. In fact, you are pathetic at it because you keep starting each sentence with "and". If your English teacher taught you well, then you will know that you cannot start a sentence with "and". That is why I said that your posts make you look pathetic because now you claim that people are intimidated by the way you write when in fact, your writing cannot follow the simple rules of English.

New "Greatest Hits" CD? (67,136) by Billy from Greece
I found a new "Greatest Hits" double album on Amazon and Ebay, with an updated tracklist, and the Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour photo as a cover. Is this legit?

Bruno Mars (67,134) by Giselle UrbanPoshBeauty from US of A
That's who I really want Mariah to work with. Him and Mark Ronson. I feel like they can give her something funky and new.

Trump / acting / Empire (67,133) by Giselle UrbanPoshBeauty from US of A
B lol. Hopefully he'll lose after the latest video. I agree with B, that Mariah has come a long way in her acting and has proven herself. Her cameo did what it was suppose to do. Keep her name out there and keep her relevant in between gigs. He media attention she's getting from it is more then others have gotten being on there with bigger parts. Empire is big with Millienials and from what I'm hearing they showed her mad love. Plus, Mariah was given body on Empire lol those breast were sitting lol, she looked fab and non alien to me. Only thing I didn't like was her leotard sick of that look from her and her attempt at trying to show thigh gap lol. I'm ready for new music from her and I hope she brings it, I feel like this is the era we are all waiting for.

Re: Bruno Mars - 24K Magic (67,123) (67,132) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I like Bruno Mars a lot, have the debut and second album. But this new song is nothing special. The video is so boring and I don't like the style. "Uptown funk" was so cool. Maybe the next songs are better. But as always some like the new stuff some not.

Re: [censored] Andrew (67,117) (67,131) by Andrew from UK
Um, yeah I really will say she cannot act. And so would most other people. Precious was "alright". But I'm not sure sitting down looking bored and pissed off and being aloof is that stretching for anybody. Anybody who isn't a delusional lamb hell bent on being "positive" for positivity's sake can see that Mariah is to acting what Angela Merkel is to modelling. However, Merkel has the good sense and humility to stick to politics. Mariah is a completely awful actress. And the lip-sync was cringe. And the song is terrible. [censored] So let the lambs bleat all they like about my posts. The hypocrisy and irony contained therein is lamentable. And, yes, big words with a good mastery of the English language? A lot of us here are capable of it and it comes naturally and I won't be dumbing down for people who are clearly intimidated by it. And by intelligence. And the truth. See, my delivery is now the new contrived issue, yet, this is, again, wrapping a strange narrative around the truth. People in the real world (the smart and interesting ones, at least) don't dress their opinions up or down to not offend the sensibilities of precious people. It's not my fault if you're precious and it's not my problem, either. But the irony and hypocrisy really is lamentable. I'm so mean and nasty, etc., about Mariah and "all" my posts negative. Well, they are not. I went back and looked. I'm a "racist". Well, I checked that, too. Most times I mention race I'm suggesting that Mariah and/or somebody she knows (like Lee Daniels) is. If I make fun of other races, I have not treated you less favourably. I'll make fun of anyone who can listen. It's a sense of humour, which is severely lacking from some people here in favour of a precious call to offence. But lo, so wrong is it that my nationality is brought to the fore, alongside my country and the colour of my skin (not really sure what "white privilege" is and, again, I couldn't care less about your personal hang-ups if you do). I "attack" and am "rude"? Well, I have been called everything under the Sun here, derogatory comments made about what somebody thinks my employment is (which was incorrect), my social life hacked to pieces with no basis but simply to try to hurt my feelings, my choosing not to use social media referenced as my having no friends, labelled a bigot alongside the majority of my fellow citizens (for democratically choosing to remove our country from a supra-national body due to socio-economic reasons), my sexuality guessed at and used against me, my natural way of speaking labelled as attention-seeking, my haircut mocked, my pictures accused of photo-shop, people trying to get me involved in "I called you out and shot you down and you don't like it" retarded argument methods as if I'm twelve, my postings labelled the contrivances of an attention seeker (there's tautology there somewhere), labelled a "hater" as if that means anything to people with a brain or the over-12's (seriously, lambs, "hate" is just "intense dislike" and a necessary human emotion), the list goes on and on and on and on. And you know what? I really don't give a [censored] lol. To whatever God you believe in, I swear it. I swear it before Him. I give it out (sometimes tongue-in-cheek, sometimes not) but Lordy me do you make sure I get it back three-fold. And, I may say "fine" and move on. However, look at the outrageous and quite stupendous ironies and hypocrisies, here. To all those with their aggression and arrogance, a quick glance at your reflection in the pool of positivity wouldn't go amiss lol. You couldn't make this shit up. All those who don't fit into your narrative are struck down with abject viciousness and cynicism (the vitriol towards Stella being the most recent prime example of this). Would the owners of the high-horses please, kindly, move them? They're blocking the way for impassioned debate. Seriously, though, I will not be silenced by others, nor your plainly, painfully and laughably obvious repeated attempts to subversively sway the guy who runs this site to block me. So, essentially, if you don't like what someone is saying or the way in which they say it, you don't want them to be able to say it? That's the basis of many failed and nasty political ideologies. You can never be right or righteous if the other person doesn't at least get to make an argument, be they right or wrong, despite how much you dislike it. And if Eric does block me at some point, so be it. The world will still spin on its axis (and GG will still not be capable of simple thought processes and understanding, such as "whilst" being as commonly used as "while" in British English where it is not archaic as it is in American English). And I will not move on from Mariah - I listen to her music constantly every day. My best friend's football team has been shite for years. He slags them off, no end. But he still loves them. So, if you actually detest what I say (and, crikey, some of you may need some SSRI's), don't read it, sweeties. How many more times? I think, though, deep down, in that place you don't talk about at parties, you *want* me on that wall, you *need" me on that... wait, I'm stealing quotes now. And I bet you Googled "SSRI's" lol.

Yes, but sometimes great music breaks through. I believe Mary can do it and Mariah too if she really hits the right note, song, production and delivery. The world is ready for some grown folks music again I hope, and pray. Lol. I agree with you too Gee, Mary hit it out of the park and Jazmine Sullivan is a great talent. Either she or Ledisi could help Mariah write some good grown girl grooves. Yaasssss.

I also want Mariah to work with Bruno. I love When I Was Your Man and Locked Out Of Heaven. I think they could write an amazing ballad together.

That is what I admire about Madonna, she is smart, independent and feisty individual, it transcends to her empire as well. She owns it.

MJB Thick of it (67,126) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
The new MJB song thick of it is something hardcore Mary fans have been wanting from her for a while now and it came at the right time with everything she is going through. Jazmine Sullivan is a very special talent with an amazing gift. This song is classic MJB but still sounds fresh and current. Now if our girl can give us something musically that is classic MC but still sounds current and all her ducks are in a row she will definitely see the results she is looking for.

Thick Of It is lovely. It's so fierce yet classy at the same time. Timeless. Again, MJB never fails with delivering songs that pack a genuine relatable emotional punch - that's just her expertise, and I'm humble enough to admit that she bests Mariah in that area most of the time. As much as I would like it to be a hit, it's simply too sophisticated and grown-up for today's musical landscape. Still glad she's back, though.

Bruno Mars - 24K Magic (67,123) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Bruno's back (all caps). He's one of those artists I have been wishing for Mariah would collaborate with. His new song 24K Magic picks up right where Uptown Funk left, and in fact sounds like an updated version of it with even sillier lyrics and a more unapologetic party energy. It sounds great. It's synths drop heavy and reminds me slightly of the underrated Didn't Mean To Turn You On. Welcome back, man.

MJB - Thick Of It (67,120) by RibbonB from USA
Wow, Mary J. Blige just released her first post break up music and it is fire. Written by Jazmine Sullivan and it might just become a hit. Nice to see the over 40 singers still doing their thing, making new inroads the best way they can. I just watched a great video of Madonna talking to Matt Lauer about relevancy. She made some great points, that really what is relevancy, it has no impact on the meaning and relevancy of greats like Aretha or Sinatra. She said it is about doing the music that you love and of course making money does influence trying to appeal to the younger crowd, but ultimately it is about an artist growing creatively and doing what they like. I paraphrased her of course.

With a forum like this different opinions on different topics will come up. But to have someone come here every chance they get just to share disrespect and hateful views towards Mariah should not be allowed to post here period.
