If they were just going to have a symbolic ceremony, then Nick's supposed holding up of the divorce process wouldn't have mattered. It seems Mariah played a game and winded up playing herself. James was not going to promise to take care of a puppy together with her, without her signing this alleged prenup and it was only going to be a symbolic ceremony, anyway. So what was the problem? I still can't get over the fact that she moved to LA, full-time, for this man but she and Nick were married for 5, going on 6, years and she was very resistant to spending a great deal of time there, let alone moving indefinitely. I looked up to her almost my whole life, but does any of you know what went wrong? I hate the fact that she is now compared to Kardashians and to all the fake people in show business. I hear Mary Blidge in my mind saying: You're Mariah Carey remember? I wish she would remember and stop this weird circus. The image is ruining her talent and legendary music she made since 1990. Sorry lambs I don't want to be that negative and I have hope for a "happy end" or better era but at the moment the press and all the stuff around her makes me sad. They are trying to build something up with all these crazy stunts. Surely right? Right? *super confused look* I mean why else would they do all these? And why would her team let her do these? I mean she does pay them to keep her image in check right? So if she goes crazy and pulls crazy antics, her team is paid to stop her right? I read someone's comments on TMZ, that "she is only half way through a ten story package", so they must have them lined up from now until the show airs. First of all I'm not understanding how either of them are entitled to anything from one another when they never married and she never signed the prenup (if any of this is even true). Secondly why does she need his house or his 50 million? She's not hard up for money and she doesn't like living in LA. As another poster said she ought to want to be rid of JP if he has all these problems and issues. Let him keep his house, money, and move on. If this is all a ploy to get people to watch that show, it's not working. It's giving the general public more of a reason to dislike her. It's supposed to release next month yet we didn't get any announcement about it's existence from MAC or Mariah. All other collections releasing in December (or any other month for that matter) get promoted months in advance. Even Taraji's collaboration for next year has been announced. Moral of the story (67,884) by RibbonB from USA Is that marriage and relationships take effort and compromise on both sides. M. is a diva, but she can't expect that men are going to do her bidding and be around her all the time, even when she has allegedly had bf's on the payroll she never got what she really wanted. I wish she would take time to work on herself and allow some transition periods for both herself and her children. And I have no doubt that entourages should not be a part of your family times. Mariah and Nick did seem to have some good family moments and they selectively shared pieces of their family time. Now, we are getting fed all manner of mess, that is probably not even real, but that makes her look in a bad light. She hates bad lighting, but seems to be basking in bad florescent reality show lighting for the past 12 months or so. (Thursday 3 November 2016; 5:33)

Re: Clear up rumors (67,882) (67,883) by RibbonB from USA Supposedly TMZ got the prenup Mariah was to sign with James. She did not sign, but is supposedly guaranteed her 50 million if they broke up. They were to have married in March 2016, even if it was just a fake/symbolic ceremony. Mariah did not sign this prenup, even though she kept complaining that Nick wouldn't sign their divorce papers. The irony is if she had signed the prenup, she would be entitled to that 50 million dollars. James has a history of supplying properties to his ex wives and ex girlfriends/fiances. In 1998 he left his then fiance a property and he left both ex wives with properties. The gag on Mariah is she sold the property that she and Nick bought together in Bel Air sometime in 2015 because she didn't like living in LA. She loved Nick and had his children, but she seems to like things to go her way and her not being in LA caused extended separations for her family. She agreed to live in LA this time so that James could be closer to his children, probably because he was paying her bills. Well now, she should probably just go back to NYC. She may have a cause to get some money from JP though, but she should have kept her business private, if the TMZ prenup is real. (Thursday 3 November 2016; 5:26)

Clear up rumors (67,882) by Mara from United States So the 50 million story, is that true or not or do we not know? The reason I'm asking is because it is out there on every news source and she is literally being dragged for it. People are calling her a gold digger and that is a nice word compared to some. I really feel if it is untrue that her "people" or person need to address this and right away. Enough with the getting people talking mind frame. This is not good for Mariah as people are unhappy with her diva like over the top behavior to begin with. A simple official statement from even Mariah herself or her spokesperson to finally address it and it will go forth to the other outlets. She needs to dispell this story if it is false, unless it's true. If it's true, then that is that. I just hate that this is overshadowing so much right now. Tomorrow she will be in Toronto and supposedly performing too so I'm excited about that. I just wish someone would clean up all this dirty laundry that has been coming out on a daily basis.
