Re: TMZ prenup article (68,020) (68,027) by B from USA
Why would Mariah allow Stella to release stories that paint her in such an unflattering way. Every story since the initial split broke has painted her as a greedy gold digger looking for a payday. I don't understand what the end goal of any of this was or is. Unless it's a storyline of Mariah's World. Mariah should have kept her private live private which was believed to be why her marriage with Nick failed.

Chris Rock comedy on prenups (68,026) by RibbonB from USA
Lol this is the cleanest version. I think it's funny, but comedians are coldblooded and brutal with their jokes. Well, some of the best ones are. The longer version is full of cussing and discusses the OJ case.

Scientology dude (68,025) by RibbonB from USA
So it turns out Scientology Tommy was at the same Ratpac party as Mimi when she had to leather boobs out outfit on. Here she is with the ambassador or whomever the guy in the middle is. Supposedly Scientology dude was there to spy on Brett and Mariah. I am sure Mariah was never going to marry a guy with Scientology ties and almost equally positive that JP had no real intention of marrying someone he could not control or bring into the fold. Ick, what a mess.

Re: TMZ prenup article (68,020) (68,024) by RibbonB from USA
But all prenups are contracts and spell things out in detail. There is nothing bad per se about there being one, or that it spells things out in detail, it just looks bad to know what those details are. Chris Rock's prenup allowed for like a million per year up to the tenth year, then all bets were off, if I remember correctly. They are just contracts. M. should have just kept her private for the court because she usually gets ripped up in the court of public opinion. But any person with a lot of money had better get one. The specifics of his were a little tacky, if she actually said that and if the prenup is really the one he had drafted. If she had actually gone through the fake marriage ceremony that would have been her only marital rights. I think dude got cold feet as the prospect became all too real after Nick signed those papers. Either that, or they were never going down the aisle to begin with. End of first act, onto the second act of the reality show.

Re: TMZ prenup article (68,020) (68,023) by Lila from United States
I agree. I don't get what people are seeing that Packer gains from any of these stories. He's the one looking like the bad guy. The prenup definitely makes it look like Packer wanted a paid partnership. Also, I'm not going to act like an expert on prenups, and I know people who have them love to be detailed and cover all bases but some of this stuff sounds downright petty. If these stories and emails are to be believed, I have to agree with a comment I saw on TMZ, and that's that Packer's lawyers saw Mariah as a gold digger. Did it really need to be specified that Mariah would buy the kids clothes? She and Nick have been going all out for Moroccan and Monroe since before they were even conceived. It sounds, to me, like some stuff you'd put in black and white when you're dealing with a person who you think will try to take advantage from day one. Overall, these stories seem to me to be Stella's stupid way of trying to make Mariah look like a victim. It isn't working though. Most people are sympathizing with Packer from what I can see or they think they're both twits. I really, really, really, really, really, really, really wish she'd take that ring off. I always thought it was an eyesore, anyway, and at this point, I think it's pretty clear that the relationship is over, not fake drama for the reality tv show, and it just makes her look like she really was just after his money. This isn't a good look.

Re: TMZ prenup article (68,015) (68,020) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It probably isn't Packer because it makes him look bad that he basically wanted a paid partnership and that he didn't love her. Remember Packer did threat his team (according to the rumors and leaked emails) that he will go ahead and marry Mariah without the pre-nup because his team was taking time. Secondly suppose he did do it, I said it few days back, how long will he keep quiet when Stella and Mariah are leaking stories saying he is mentally unstable and implying he is abusive? Those are some pretty big claims.

Re: TMZ prenup article (68,015) (68,019) by THE TRUTH from USA
Oh yeah, I'm sure. The same James Packer who used his own money to produce "Before The Flood"? He's a philanthropist in the truest sense of the word. If anything he did his best to stay out of the press and she and Stella know no bounds when it comes to chasing cheap, tacky, gold digging, look at me type publicity.

This is the real Mariah (68,018) by Natalia from Italy
If it's true that Tommy forced Mariah to present herself modestly for the good of her career, then once she broke away from him she began dressing in very revealing way. That's the real Mariah coming out. If she fired all of her previous staff because they were doing their best to hide her possibly damaging behaviours to the world. Then she hires an all new staff that encourages and makes an effort to promote her damaging behaviours to the world. This is the real Mariah we are looking at now. She is probably tired of having to be fake, she wants to be herself, and it's not a good thing for her career. The Mariah from the past was just playing a role. She faked us all out by acting like she's so shy and soft spoken, total act. Now she's losing fans that she's had for decades. Fans who have stood by her, and defended her, when others were criticizing her. Most people think she's a gold digging spoiled rich diva. Nobody can relate to her, all we have left as fans is the "real" "classic" music from the past that keeps us clinging onto an artist who is nothing like she was even 6 years ago. I seriously doubt that we will ever get anymore "real" quality heartfelt music ever again. It's over.

Re: TMZ prenup article (68,009) (68,015) by B from USA
I believe this insulting prenup is what caused the Greece event. She's Mariah [censored] Carey not Anna Nicole. Packer's team are most likely behind this and the conflicting insider stories that have been leaked, not Mariah and Stella.

Re: TMZ prenup article (68,009) (68,014) by RibbonB from USA
I read that. First, Mariah's people or whomever, should not have released that information. As it was not signed or filed, then it would not be a matter of public record. The prenup is actually not that bad, it is specific and all of them are contracts which spell out financial terms, etc. She is entitled to keep the ring, if he broke off the engagement. Most wealthy couples have them in some form, especially when their is an income disparity. But, the release of that information at this time is contributing to Mariah looking bad, but most of what's been coming out these past several months have seemed designed to make her look bad. I don't get the strategy at all and it's very sad. When she was asked about the reality show she said she is "very excited and in a quandary all at the same time", which is also very sad. Unless there is some big planned dramatic ending to this whole thing, then it's just a mess and I hope she and her career survive it all.

Looks to me like Morgan is doing fine, in fact he stayed out of the public eye for like 25 years. I think he just realized it was best to get he and his beautiful wife as far away from the madness as possible. They look pretty happy.

I don't know what happened with her mother, but she has been absent since M. started going through this divorce, I still say, she needs to go back and really embrace and focus on her faith as that is what has seemed to carry her through. But then she would need to stop reflect inward vs. this public display of wealth and unease. At least she is talking about music these past few days and in the Canada interviews she allegedly banned any personal questions, except about the kids. Smartest thing she has done lately.

I actually think this appearance is going to happen. Any other time I would have said wrong move Mariah, but in this year of ultra wrong moves, IMO this can be a very right move. Messy yes, but probably very celebratory.

TMZ prenup article (68,009) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Did you all read the prenup details TMZ got a hold of? Here is the link. Gosh this will be one of the nastiest break ups ever. People are calling Mariah the "P" word (in case you're wondering, it's Alison's profession) along with calling her a gold digger and questioning why she would even want to take his money and that she's only materialistic. I don't know why her team isn't doing anything to stop these. Mariah's image has never been this bad. People may have questioned her recent singing ability, they may have questioned her sanity, they may have questioned other things, but no one ever questioned the fact that Mariah is a self made independent multi-millionaire. Now we have these stories and she is out there trying to ruffle more feathers by taking Bryan everywhere and then wearing the ring like that knowing the cameras are going to capture it. If they did break up she should have stopped wearing it for a while if she didn't want to return it because now it makes her look bad.

I so don't agree (68,008) by Edouard from France
True it's not her best performance ever but think about it: no backup singers, no tralala, no décor, only her. She's singing all the difficult parts full voice with no warming up. She's singing outside in the cold. She's lipsyncing the breathy parts because this type of vocals require a more intimate approach vocally and this type of show don't provide this environnement. She's actually singing and clearly having fun. All the difficult parts are sung and she even harmonizes with the long note at the end of AIWFCIY. She did a good job considering how last minute, and clearly unrehearsed this performance was. Also I should ad that she's going for the belted notes with no warming up, no vocal builtup since she's lipsyncing the breathy parts.

Re: Mariah's arm injury (68,001) (68,007) by Lila from United States
Patricia is the reason why Mariah is the way she is. Mariah has never gone into great detail in one sitting but the details she's given, over the years, of her childhood and upbringing has painted a decent picture. So, does the fact that 3/3 children turned out disastrous, and yes I include Mariah in that because despite career success her emotional state is another story.

Re: Mariah's arm injury (68,001) (68,006) by Lara from Middle East
We had a discussion about her arm appearance because some thought it was cellulite. On this recent it is more evident. Yes I think it is probably from her arm injury and she has some muscle loss over there. Maybe that would explain also why her level of fitness got bad, probably she's not allowed to train as she should. And getting close to menopause (if not already there) could explain her bloating.

Re: Comment on Daily Mail (67,999) (68,002) by THE TRUTH from USA
You haven't figured out that Mariah is the way she is for the most part because of Patricia? Look at Mariah's behavior, Alison's situation and lifestyle, and the fact that Morgan and his wife chose to move to Italy. Apparently Patricia's conduct as a parent was pretty destructive, the proof is in the putting. Just because Patricia taught Mariah to sing hardly absolves of the abuse she inflicted upon her kids.

Mariah's arm injury (68,001) by BH from UK
Critique of the performance aside, does anyone else notice the dent in Mariah's upper right arm in this performance? It seems like the injury she suffered from the fall has long term consequences including that terrible scar on her elbow and her damaged hand.

Darren, my prayers will be with you and your loved ones, as well as your country. No one in this world, no matter their religion, skin color nor any other personal preference, should have to endure any of this nonsense and pain in their life. I wish there was more we can do for you aside from prayers. Unfortunately, this is something we all are gonna be facing in the next few months all around the world. In my job, we travel all around the world to help those in need in situations like the one you're in. I pray you stay safe and won't be one of the people I come across. Please stay away from anything and anyone that you do not know personally. Whatever your faith is, please pray and keep your strength up, believing that everything will be alright. God Bless.
