Re: What female should Mariah duet with? (67,495) (67,502) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Alicia Keys, two New York City girls could create magic. And Alicia could make a beautiful piano intro.

Must be Fantasy. But "One Sweet Day" and "My All" come very close to it.

I would love that too. By the way Nick Cannon clear the air for Mariah and Ariana today, he said: "It's interesting man, I could give you an exclusive on that because like what I've said, I've known Ariana for the longest and the thing that kinda launched her in the music space is when she did a Mariah cover and it went viral. And I was the one who actually showed it to Mariah, and she was like 'oh okay' like she didn't say it was not good or she didn't say it was good, she was like 'oh okay, I see her' like kinda you know given it a level-headed props, you know what I mean especially for Mariah 'cause she didn't dissed it. And I remember telling Ariana about it, I was like 'yow, she gave you the respect ' and she was like 'oh my gosh, she saw it? she saw it?' and this was before she was signed or anything. And then you know as Ariana started to get a little bigger, I think that's when she was like 'Mariah never likes anyone to be called the next Mariah' 'cause she was like 'why does it need to be a next, I'm right here' so I have to respect that, and then I think Ariana started to be like 'yow, I don't want to be the next anyone, I'm Ariana' so then there's started to be this thing. I think if they saw each other, they would be no beef you know, Mariah would step on Ariana haha, like Ariana is like the size of one of Mariah's diamonds haha." I know this "comparison" might started because of her management, like there's so many artists that did that I think, they would push in the comparisons to a big artist, so that specific artist will have a huge introduction to the industry and the public. But it gets bigger because of just the hype of the fans and treated as this non-existing "feud". So yeah I'm all for the Mariah-Ariana collab because I think this teens who idolizes Ariana are a big part of Mariah's bad reputation online, so like what Martyn said, it will lay the "feud" to rest once and for all and help introduce Mariah to a younger audience. It would be nice and lovely if Ariana will visit Mariah in Vegas.

2017 - shatter the status suo (67,499) by Jeff from USA
This is what I would love to see:
1. Ride the Christmas wave into the new year. The queen of Christmas will own the Beacon performances and AIWFCIY will go number one again.
2. Drop the shade. There is a beauty in humility that Mariah has deep inside. Let that shine through during interviews.
3. Sing the song. We will still love you if you need to drop to a lower key. If you can't hit the whistle note, don't. I would 100% rather hear the voice than to see the lip-synch.
4. Show love to the fans. Honey B. Fly, anyone?
5. Let's have a stone-groove smash hit. I would love a booming bass line and that mid-register. How about a ton of remixes?
6. Enjoy your time with Dem Babies. They are adorable.

Female duet (67,498) by Jeff from USA
I would love to see Mariah and Aretha together again. "Chain of Fools" from Divas Live is still my favorite of all the Divas' performances.

Most listened-to song (67,497) by Jeff from USA
Breakdown, of course. The voice, the lyrics, the harmonies. Such an amazing and ahead-of-her-time song. Makes me cry, brings me joy, everything.

Just kidding, but this clip is funny. Andy stays asking about Miss Mimi on WWHL. I wonder if Mariah's mother has even met the guy.

There's nothing I'd love more than for her to duet with Ariana. Lay the "feud" to rest and help introduce herself to a younger audience. Unfortunately there's more chance of Trump and Hilary duetting, but it's nice to dream.

Padma on Glitter (67,487) by Licia from USA
I'm glad she didn't really shade the movie. She was nicer than I would have been by giving it a 5 though lol. Now that soundtrack gets tens across the board. I don't care what anyone says. The Glitter soundtrack was the best album ever in 2001 (in my Kanye West voice).

Re: 2017 should be the reinvention of Mariah Carey (67,461) (67,486) by Marissa from USA
I love your list Robert-Anthony. Here are my suggestions to make 2017 the year of Mariah.
1. Keep it casual. You look your youngest and best when you keep things effortless.
2. Reclaim control of your social media and make the posts a little more (intentionally) infrequent to bring back the air of mystery that you once had.
3. Drop the thirst-bucket Instagram photos and take it back to the way it was from 2011-2013. Classy, yet sexy.
4. Do a female singing duet instead of all of these tired rap features, and don't play it safe by getting a woman who's vocals aren't even in the same ballpark as yours (i.e. MJB). I'd like some healthy competition, i.e. When You Believe with Whitney.
5. Drop the watered-down R&B songs. I love R&B but if she's not gonna bring it with an unforgettable beat, I'd rather her not do it. Reminds me of Dedicated and MILG which I found pleasant, yet forgettable.
6. Encourage Stella to stay in the background like she's been doing for the past few weeks. That is what a manager is supposed to do.
7. Please, I beg of you, work with producers besides JD and Rodney Jerkins. What about Pharell? Timbaland? DJ Quik? Just someone who can breathe some life into a lot of these regurgitated sounds. You've been in your comfort zone for way too long and it shows.

Does anyone else pour over album liner notes and dissect every lyric and adlib when Mariah releases a new album?

A few people shared an article someone else shared with a comment attached. This wasn't E or Mariah trying to use the illuminati to drum up publicity for Mariah's World.

Re: Mariah trending on Facebook (67,481) (67,483) by RibbonB from USA
I have long said that her roll outs are wacky, often tacky and usually poorly timed. This is especially true with Stellar and her children managing Mariah. They put a lot of hype in the ether this current year, but a lot of it is poorly placed. But then a lot of fans have expressed interest in this coming docu-thing. I believe she could have focused solely on touring and developed a true documentary to air without all the naked men as sofas and kooky Complex covers to promote a show that seems to have her going beyond the pale, even for her diva persona. She could have given us a true air of mystery by being more elusive and more private, but we get a hodge podge or planted press, stunts, etc, etc. I am glad she did her little thing on Empire, Vegas seems to have worked for her, but that was in the works way before Stellar. Mariah has some good instincts, she just needs to make sure her efforts focus on herself and not the menagerie she keeps around her trying to feed off of her fame.

1997 versus 2016 (67,482) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I see a lot of then and now comparisons of Mariah on social media and this recently caught my eyes and it's incredible how she looks basically the same 20 years later. Now that her fillers have come down to normal size and her face has become smaller, she basically looks like how she did back then with maybe a few years difference. But that too can be pinned down on the heavier eye makeup she is wearing in the 2016 picture. Without it, she can pass off as her old self.

Re: Mariah trending on Facebook (67,475) (67,481) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Why would E. try to bring in the Illuminati theory to get people interested? Genuine question. Are you thinking along the lines of how it creates an air of mystery and suspense around Beyonce and that makes people interested in her? If that's the case, I have to say E. (and Mariah's entire promotional team) is so darn stupid it pisses me off to no end. This, if true, has to be the most pathetic attempt at promo. If not, some stupid random person/bot clearly doesn't understand how people have fun with ghoulish/evil costumes during Halloween. If everyone who dresses up as Satan/evil is Illuminati related, then that covers just about everyone celebrating Halloween. All these aside, I honestly can't tolerate how lame Mariah's PR and marketing teams are. Seriously she is one of the richest celebs out there and her roll outs are just so random and always incomplete. Almost like it's an afterthought or like they thought of promoting it and then abandoned it mid way, letting it sink and then never acknowledging it again.

Just the fact that Taylor Swift is #1 and Selena Gomez and Katy Perry are higher than Mariah Carey is completely ridiculous and stupid. Michael Jackson and Madonna should have been on top.
