Re: Meteorite (67,003) (67,012) by B from USA
Meteorite should have been the second single from MIAM.

Re: Starting to feel the love (67,007) (67,011) by B from USA
If you compare Infamous to a Mariah Carey song it's underwhelming. However, this isn't a Mariah Carey song. It's a song written and produced by Mariah Carey for Empire. People please take this into consideration when listening to this song. I hated Triumphant and Memoirs but I didn't and don't disrespect those who like them.

Has anyone heard this song that Mariah supposedly recorded for 2012's movie Paper Boy?

She is just playing herself. Lol. She is gorgeous though. I wish she would make a comeback with a kick ass album.

If somebody is enjoying the song why mock them and basically tell them they're wrong for enjoying it and not finding any faults? I'm sure it's a lot better than quite a few songs out there right now.

Wow what a coincidence. I was just thinking the same thing last night watching the video to "Do Not Touch My Hair" I think it's called. Loved the sound and the visuals. A lamb can dream.

Exactly. I always think when I listen to it that it sounds like she time travelled to future Mariah and stole it from her lol. It sounds like nothing from this time.

Starting to feel the love (67,002) by Mirage_Nunez from America
My sister randomly text me yesterday and said "Mariah's going to be on Empire. I just saw a clip of her singing and she sounds so fresh and strong." And she's just a casual fan not lamb per say. I ended up listening to Infamous three times in a row yesterday on my (high quality beats by Dre) earphones in which I heard every vocal detail clearly and I must say Mariah's voice sounded delightful to my ears, she still has that magic in the way she phrases certain words. I was listening hard for "hoarseness", "dryness", or for her to "struggle" at some point during the verses and you know what? Couldn't find it. The only part I heard any sort of push in her voice was towards the end, which actually didn't bother me one bit. I actually wish she had went off Faded style, but at the same time I appreciate the restraint as well. Having said all that I'm starting to really like this song and its production now. I love dramatic the piano intro.

Re: Infamous would have made more sense (66,980) (67,001) by Edouard from France
Well maybe it just goes to show we should all trust Mariah a little more. She's always known what she's doing. She still does. The song makes sense within the context of Empire. Moreover I believe it's nice to have a song where Mariah sings like a human being (so that all viewers can sing along with her) instead of singing like the queen she is. She's saving those Mariah vocals for the album, for the lambily, for us. Just trust.

I thought I was the only one who noticed those tongue clicks. They're the only bit I don't like about the song.

Solange - A Seat At The Table (66,999) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
I just listened to Solange's latest release and boy is it glorious. I have always preferred her voice over her sister Beyonce's, mostly because it's less brash and showboat-y (i.e. easier on the ears). You just gotta check it out, guys, while the link's still up. Once the first track hits you, you're gonna be convinced that this should be the new direction Mariah should be trying. The production is very interesting, utilizing and mixing sounds that are intriguing and rarely used in mainstream releases. So while most people are still celebrating Lemonade's imminent Grammy success this early, I'll be here listening to Solange's new outing.

Empire outfits (66,998) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Although I still need to know why Mariah is wearing a bodysuit in the studio, I have to say the scene of her rehearsing in that fitted gown on stage, she looks fabulous. Beautiful woman, loved the hair and outfit. I laughed out when she needed 2 people to help her get down from the stage but she did look beautiful. I hope this shuts the fat shamers and photoshop rumors. Yes she does use photoshop but in most of her recent shoots (the Vegas shoot, the SSFT Europe promo poster, the Complex shoot and the Other one with the pink background) they might have airbrushed her skin but her body size was not shrunk down. That's exactly her real size.

Re: Infamous/Dangerous sneak peak (66,992) (66,997) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha I can't with Mariah plugging her own show in Empire. She knows Stella and the crew suck at promoting so she has taken it upon herself to get the word out there. Is Mariah taking Jussie to the Latin America leg though?

Re: Mariah's Empire outfit is outrageous (66,985) (66,996) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
It kinda reminds me of Rebecca Romijn/Jennifer Lawrence's bodysuit as Mystique on X-Men. She looks great, although most will describe her get-up as Vegas trophy wife chic with not so subtle hints of hooker. The clip looks better than I expected. Hope she brings it in all her parts in the entire episode.

Meteorite (66,995) by George Golden from UK
Meteorite would have made number one with a classy video. It was like nothing she had ever released and it was very now. She keeps doing those mid tempos that are too predictable.

Mariahs Brazil interview is amazing (66,994) by Ty from USA
Clocks in at 11 mins, she talks about her lambs, kids, empire, songs she's recording and she's not guarded. She's the carefree, funny Mariah. I found it on Facebook on Mariahnow's page.

Re: Infamous/Dangerous sneak peak (66,992) (66,993) by Mara from United States
Yes. Makes sense now, especially when they said Mariah may be brought back before the season finale. She invites him on tour and out of the three Hawaii dates will get a decent Mariah approved performance of the song with Jussie that they can put on the show. Makes me very excited for Wednesday's show. "Kitty" is basically Mariah without all the over the top diva talk. People are saying she should have just played Mariah, but I think that's what makes it more interesting, almost. Mariah without all the "Dahhlings" and Divaisms almost makes a good change in her persona. Just to see Mariah be "Mariah" just toned down.

I was loving Infamous (66,991) by Todd from Melbourne, Australia
I love me a slow jam, so I was loving Infamous. That is until I was playing it in my car and noticed "Drop it Like its Hot" style tongue clicks in the chorus. Now that's all I can hear.

Years & Years (66,990) by Luke from United Kingdom
So they've (or he if it's not a band lol) have just released a song called Meteorite. It might be a little influenced by Mariah but it's quite different so I can't tell but I just feel it's nothing compared to Mariah's Meteorite. Since that album came out I've consistantly played that song and it's never failed to please me. It makes me sad that they didn't release it and promote that song because I'm sure with a killer video she'd have another #1 at this point. Comparing the songs, this is Mariah's Meteorite and this is Years & Years' Meteorite.

Re: Infamous/Dangerous sneak peak (66,987) (66,988) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
No I don't think Jussie is in the stage part. From what I've seen in the clips Cookie and Jussie visits Mariah while Mariah is rehearsing with her band. There Mariah tells him how she has an idea about a song perfect for them to sing, you can check it out here. I'd love for them to have Mariah sing a snippet of her own song while she's "rehearsing" and then turn around to see Cookie and Jamaal.
