She looks like trash and at the moment I can't just look the other way while she is ruining her career, without expressing my concerns. But she was also hyping up the people and the food as she always speaks highly of a place when she is about to for there. No doubt she had a good time with a cute man although he had a reputation for cheating. Her life was complicated and in transition then as it is now. Hopefully won't have a similar outcome. It's only our society that says the appearance of boobs is wrong. Plenty of men have boobs when they're a little heavier, some bigger than women's yet nobody slanders them. Mariah seemed really in love with him, she had this special smile when she talked of him in an interview (which was not often at this time). She used to be very private. Sometimes I wonder if she ever got over him. And I'm 100% sure she had a fantastic time maybe the best with him. James Packer seems like a fan not like a serious partner or even a husband. What if they intentionally doing this because they have something in their sleeves when she starts promoting her next album? Well even though I don't like what they are doing right now, I will just choose to hope that all of this are stunts and might have an explanation in the future rather than a random move that are just plainly annoying and cheap. It's intriguing that she announces new music is coming soon together with that photo, and here it is, a buzzfeed article about "the elusive chanteuse announced new music is 'coming soon' in true Mariah Carey fashion". Marylin Monroe never pushed sexy, she exuded sexiness. She was glamorous, never trashy. Mariah came out of the cocoon and turned into a sexy and beautiful Bufferfly, never trashy. Even in the video for Breakdown she looks damn sexy. During the Rainbow era she was still a young woman, I don't remember any picture of her flashing her boobs as if she wanted to feed anybody. But now Mariah is borderline trashy. If there were a list of the top ten glamorous ladies in the music business, I don't think Mariah would be on that list. She was smitten by Luis, there is no doubt in that. If I'm not mistaken, their break up along with several other problems in her life led to the 2001 breakdown. But honestly, just look at Lady Gaga. That is innovation and artistry, her videos are so cool. She is a different type of entertainer from Mariah but still. Gasping - lack of air mix (66,043) by Edward from USA I first noticed Mariah gasping for air when she started promoting "Butterfly". It was a shock to me since she'd always had lungs of steel. I'm not expert to say that it has to do with her implants, but it has always boggled my mind as to what the cause could be. That's when her unmatched effortless fluidity went down the drain too. Sometimes when I listen to some of the songs I like from Ariana Grande, I feel nostalgic of those times when Mariah could still sing a line without the worry look in her face. Ariana doesn't have Mariah's range or enunciation but she has that buttery tone Mariah used to have. I was listening to Celine Dion's new song "Recovering" written by P!nk, and and even though her voice definitely has changed, I wish Mariah had retained as much control of her voice as Celine has. Yes it might help people tune in to the reality show, key word here is "might". Because it might putt off people more because they already think she is an over the top self obsessed diva. Now to have her be naked in a tub wearing diamond jewellery will only support that image. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Mariah say through this she wants people to see the "real her" and said she thinks people don't know anything about her. I don't see how this is any different from what people think. If Mariah has such short term goals "get trashy to sell the reality show", what will happen after the airing of the 8 episodes? She should have long term image repair goals so that it ensures her future music would sell better. After all that's the first thing that should come to people's mind when they hear her name right? Mariah is music? Andrew don't even bother insulting me about this messy rambling post man, I know I probably am writing crap by now, I am just too frustrated with where this is going. Yes, like people have pointed out this isn't new behavior (the naked bath tub moment) but I've said before, Mariah always had some trashy moments but nowadays it's always like this. Previously it was balanced. Now it's always bodysuits, bra and those blouses which have strings near the boobs. The timing just makes it seem off. It wasn't a good time for Marilyn as she got older. I also think it is weird that she talks about letting her daughter watch old Marilyn movies even though she doesn't know what they are about. A couple years ago, M. tweeted Monroe holding the movie The Goddess, which is a really weird tragic, melodramatic Marilyn like story from the 50's or 60's. IDK, but I wish them all well. There is a part around the beginning where they ask her about Luis Miguel and at one point she talks about how she used to spend a lot of time there and started saying what seemed like "it was one of the best times of her life" but instead went for "it was a really good time of my life". But to analyse, it can only be one of two things, as I see it. Has Mariah finally lost the last marble or is there an endgame? By the latter I mean maybe (and, honestly, even I want to find the good in this) she's playing out Stella's business plan? I know squat about PR (Martyn and others may actually know) but there must have been a proposal, a business plan, that Mariah signed off on, with the reality show the final play. Packer, plastic surgery, diva diamonds, everything points towards what the TV show may be about. Perhaps this is all part of that proposal. Suggest Stella be retained for the things for which she is qualified and other professionals brought in alongside her to counteract bad decisions and guide the machine. Powerful people have several advisors. Think Mariah needs the same. And, yes, some class. When your fans don't even recognise your face, something is seriously rotten. I recall the first time I saw Mariah in 1993 and couldn't believe that voice came out of that face. How could anyone be so beautiful and sound so ethereal? In addition, Mariah has breathing problems when singing. Now, a vocal expert would know more, but let me armchair this: is vocal chord deterioration linked to breathlessness and vice-versa? I shouldnt think so. Mariah had a set of lungs unrivalled save for Whitney and Celine. Since 1998 she gasps for air before she's finished the phrase she's on. Happened that this was around the start of the breast augmentation. Surely having two pounds of sugar strapped to your chest would cause this? Again, I'm not the expert here. As for Stella, that woman, I can't. Seriously who goes around telling random strangers "I've had a new boob job"? And yes they are strangers whether they are lambs or not. And I don't think we can compare it with the "Shake it off" video or the MTV Cribs-moment. In the past it was just sexy and playful but this looks only cheap. What is going on with her? Even if it's a midlife-crisis, I wonder how can she allow this too? Where are her friends or is really just "the management" left? I'm almost scared what's coming up next.
