You're right, in this position the pic looks even weirder. I'm sure Hugh Hefner loves the promo. The retro pic from the tour was even better. I mean she was dressed on that record.

Will Mariah add a new song to Vegas? (65,553)

I wonder what song. Infinity is so over, it would be awesome if each night she did a b-side fan fave.

New rumor (65,551)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
The new ridiculous rumor is Mariah threw out a laptop outside the window after James tried to play Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" during their love making session. She apparently went screaming out the door. Now, first of all, that song is ruined. Secondly, I don't believe a word being said here, because this is ridiculous and where is Mariah's publicist/manager/BFF now? Or will she only clap back at rumors attacking her and her daughter?

Wow. That looks hella weird. Makes me wonder if Mariah is ever involved or consulted when it comes to the the visual aspect of promoting her brand. I mean if she is then this is just self-sabotage. Though I recall her commenting on the creepily photoshopped YTKWTD single art that she has no power over that. Like how is that so? I mean she is the artist after all, so how can she not have any say on these things? Just how dis-involved can she get, or how involved is she allowed to be?

I don't think L.A. would have the guts to write that about Mariah haha. Maybe someone is claiming to be signed on to Epic but L.A. is clarifying that it isn't true? Not sure though.

I don't have anything against Lazaro, nor do I care for his recent comments. I think his story is inspiring, but honestly, seeing it from a talented performer standpoint, him even making it to the top 10 was a huge mistake. The fact that he ended up as the last guy standing was a travesty. None of the guys were great that season, but he just got by with his boyish good looks and great backstory. Was the voice there? Maybe, as he had this diamond-in-the-rough appeal. However, he just wasn't ready for the bigtime. You could almost hear the amount of hard work that went into coaching him to put out a passable performance at best. But then again by that time AI has already long lost its credibility as a singing competition, so I guess that didn't really matter.

The airbrushing on Mariah's body on that is horribly obvious, especially the part around her tummy (check navel). Now I am not new to the internet, much less the reality that everyone benefits from photoshopping these days, but if we're being realistic, this is partly why she can't seem to catch a break. They should have stuck with the cropped, more PG version. This whole body shot just somehow distracts from what is supposedly the real spectacle of the show - her voice.

That is actually a great idea. I'm totally here for a collaboration with Beyonce. Beyonce has been experimenting a lot nowadays and I like that. I don't necessarily love the entire albums she has released, but there are definitely some good songs. Plus if Mariah is going to collaborate with another big name female star, I'd rather it be someone current and relevant and Beyonce is as relevant as it gets now.

What's worse is it is being used in the vertical position inside Caesar's Palace and some other places and that looks weirder.

I beg to differ. I think Mariah's vocals have been the best part of 2016. I haven't gotten nervous at all anytime she has grabbed a mic this year, which is not something I could say two years ago. It may not sound straight out of 1992 but she could still knock it out of the park.

I don't understand why she needs to be naked? Most of the time I don't mind the shoots Mariah does or the songs she brings out but I wonder if she actually think this one looks good. Lets put it this way, you wouldn't see Celine doing an image like that to promote her shows. Even an image of Mariah's face with her holding her ear like she was hitting a high note would have been better. Shame.

Giovanni, what exactly wouldn't work? A duet with B, or the concept I had? I agree with both John Legend and Sam Smith, I love both of their music. I was saying if she worked with another female artist.

Mariah won't ever go back the carpool karaoke. She's too insecure for that. She would have to really sing without back up, distractions, dubbing, and she won't run that risk.

Mariah needs to be booked back on this segment, as its original guest and this time she needs to go an not play. The evidence is right here to support this. Something in the vein of the surprise Art Of Letting Go by the piano would be amazing, except with the current vocals with some good rest prior.

Duet (65,523) (65,530)
by Haiji Toro from USA

Lol Andrew, you may have a good point there. I'm always down for a good party jam from Mariah. Even one as a duet with Beyonce. I just picture them together singing a song of some type of empowerment, yet still danceable and club/radio friendly (ala Independent Women). I think it can be done. I always wish to hear additional versions when it comes to duets. The main version with both, and another 2 with each solo versions. Beyonce can put her hip hop spin to hers and Mariah would have a ballad version. That way it appeals to more than one demographic.

Didn't I already agree that Mariah shouldn't expect Nick or anybody else to not talk about her because she's guilty of doing the same thing through her music? Maybe I'm having another slow moment because I don't know how much more I can agree or what else to say. Lol.

Timeline - MIAM (65,528)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
So two months ago today, I wrote this about MIAM and Mariah being the first to take shots so to speak. "Except Mariah wrote a whole CD about the break up and Infinity about moving on. People blame Nick but the funny thing is she released the CD and the breakdown of their marriage really sped up. It's funny how people ignore and faded to 'The art of letting go' and act like she hasn't said anything. Mariah seems to be running this stunt anyway. Just as another perspective he may be doing her bidding, like he says in his song he will play the bad guy and not tell the real story." So looking at the old news from this time last year and the year before: Mariah releases MIAM in May, the same time Nick leaves the house although we are told about it later in August. Nick never promoted MIAM on his twitter like he did with Memoirs. The only reference to MIAM he made was that Thirsty was his favorite song. He jokes even on himself as we know. Then the record flops and Mariah allegedly blames Nick because of the dissolution of her marriage, which is strange because she wrote it off long before he did. Mariah should show some class and end this marriage in a classy way, stay cool with the ex and stop acting so damn thirsty herself. Or she may just need to get back with him if she loves him so much. Lol.
