Re: Me I Am Mariah (65,236) (65,252) by B from USA
I like Money. It's silly fun like Get Your Number. I also like Supernatural. I never really cared for The Art Of Letting Go. It's too wordy and the verses are disjointed.

We need to stage an intervention for you. Your negativity isn't healthy. We're worried about you, darling.

I just watched that for the first time yesterday.

Re: Intervention (65,244) (65,249) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Actually it's her team that's needs to stop enabling her, because how much can the fans really stop her when she doesn't even know what we are talking about? She may have gotten rid of her previous team but she is still surrounded only by "yes men" who are there to benefit themselves by sucking up to Mariah. Not that Mariah isn't responsible for her actions but enabling her is encouraging her to do this more. Her team won't tell her to stop because they love partying and then posting drunk videos on social media thinking it's the best thing to do. Only thing it is doing is damaging Mariah and her reputation further because people already think she is all about splashes and boobs. So ya if she has no access to what the fans are saying, the fans are not responsible for this, it's her team and Mariah herself.

Re: Brat Ratner (65,240) (65,248) by RibbonB from USA
Well she is already in bed with them so to speak, almost, but allegedly not until she marries, if that ever happens, but it seems like a stunt. Lol. Brett just seems like an entitled fat boy, frat boy, rat boy, pick one. He stumbled on a benefactor/business partner and they are working it, or working each other. Best case scenario, they are all friends and business partners, worst case scenario, they are both using the Bra until she drops.

Probably the best documentary on MC (65,247) by Edouard from France
I think they did 2 versions of this documentary because I saw it a while back and I don't remember it going "so deep" into Mariah's psyche. It is very interesting. I totally relate to her on many levels (overcoming things and learning to just live your life, cause at the end of the day that's really all that you got). TV celebrity documentaries rarely focus on the mindset/emotional life of the people we admire. I feel this one is an honest portrayal of Mariah (to a certain degree of course). Although, when you think about it, only Mariah should present that side of herself. Check it out. Sidenote : Maybe that's the whole point of Mariah's World.

Re: Me I Am Mariah (65,236) (65,246) by Andrew from UK
The Art Of Letting Go is awesome, I just had to listen to it again. It could have been a masterpiece if it didn't have silly "kitchen window" lyrics and didn't finish about a minute too early. Why did she write that kitchen window lyric? It's completely insane. It doesn't fit in with the song; you're soaring with the strings and suddenly you're in a bloody kitchen having a domestic. I think she had a few "splashes" that day, haha. In fact, I'd bet the farm on it.

Intervention (65,244) by Andrew from UK
People really need to stop with these cutesy words and silly phrases for Mariah lol it's like painting a watercolour of a car crash. This isn't the "bra era". Mariah doesn't have "splashes". Mariah dresses shamefully and clearly has an alcohol problem (and it clearly is a problem when a vocalist with damaged vocal chords can't say no to alcohol). Anybody else would be severely questioned and interventions staged lol you lot excuse it. No wonder shes gone completely off the rails with you guys enabling her and trying to make everything cutesy. Hah. That's shameful in itself. Dahlings.

Does anyone know if there is any chance this song will go to #1 next week? It dropped to #5 last week but it got to #3 this week.

Funny you mention the Honey video. Back then I was "shocked" by Honey too. And later Loverboy. But you're right I think she only plays with that. More like a kid that dresses up. Didn't she even mention it on an interview in the past?

Mariah and jazz (65,241) by MusicfanJ from Germany
To start a subject which has nothing to do with outfits. I always thought Mariah and jazz are a very nice combination. Subtle Invitation and especially The Wind are such good songs. Would you like if Mariah releases a pure jazz album? Who would thought that Lady Gaga did one with Tony Bennett? And I must say I found it pretty cool that Lady Gaga has a liking for jazz.

Re: Don't know if you all noticed (65,235) (65,240) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yes I noticed that too. And I'm not so happy with the RatPac. Can't say why, there's just a feeling. I hope Mariah still feels comfortable to work with them. If it's a win-win-situation ok everything is fine. But I'm still disappointed with Brett Ratner.

Re: The emancipation of boobies (65,232) (65,239) by Mirage_Nunez from America
That's the whole point though. She's not really doing anything that she hasn't done before (fashion wise) imo. She's been showing clevage and having splashes since the 90s. Everyone has a different perspective on what deserves a pass or what should be called out. For me she hasn't done anything horrible enough to deserve the kind of ridicule she has received here. I feel that many of her antics have been over exaggerated and blown out of proportion. So yes sometimes worse things do need to be pointed out for the sake of putting everything into proper perspective.

Yes I did, but I will leave your jam alone. Wait, one more thing, does Art Of Letting Go even have a melody? Lol. But whoa, whoa beat go. Roe's ad libs are on par with her mama's already. Hahaha. And Rocky's two octave vocals are already stellar. The real stellar this time. Lol.

Re: 2013 (65,233) (65,237) by Giovanni from USA
To me Stella is Mariah's make up and fashion stylist. Everything you stated makes sense so I pretty much see why Mariah went from fabulous to disastrous. But what I don't understand is how Mariah would think she looks better now than how she did on "American Idol".

Re: Me I Am Mariah (65,225) (65,236) by Giovanni from USA
Oh no you did not just diss my song RibbonB, lol. Just kidding. I love "The art of letting go". The music, lyrics and Mariah's belting at the end is too good. I highly dislike "Supernatural" because I don't connect with the song. It's too much of a luluby song for me. And "Money" isn't really much of a song in my opinion. There are hardly any lyrics for Mariah. She mainly just repeats the same thing over and over it becomes a snoozefest. I feel this could have easily been replaced. All the songs Mariah recorded yet she goes with "Money"? Also Hozier's album hasn't came yet. But when it does I'll be sure to get back to you.

Re: Don't know if you all noticed (65,227) (65,235) by RibbonB from USA
I have had it figured that the RatPac is using Mariah for over a year now. Who knows, maybe longer. But she is all onboard, so that is all that matters, right?

Re: 2013 (65,222) (65,233) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
A stylist won't do much if Mariah is not ready to "collaborate". Mariah's rigidity about her fashion choices is the same as her being rigid about not venturing outside R n' B. Her fashion during AI was on point because she was obligated to dress a certain way by the producers and possibly sponsored by labels to wear their outfits every night. She was not happy about it because she said many times that she didn't like it. She was dressed by Wilfredo then, she was dressed by Wilfredo after that too. The moment AI ended, Mariah had full control over what she wears so she goes back to what she thinks is sexy and glamorous. She really needs to let go and just let someone dress her. The woman is beautiful, she has a great physique, she's so tall and statuesque, she can be a fashion queen. But for that she needs to let go of her rigidity and just give someone else the freedom.

Re: The emancipation of boobies (65,231) (65,232) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Lol I find it funny that people are suggesting that Mariah should be given a pass because she isn't doing the "absolute worst" thing possible. That means all the other crazy things she is doing should be excused solely because we have yet to see her be in the worst scenario. Well if she isn't advised on it early on, she'll be pushing the limits more and more dahlin'. While Mariah's boob display and tacky outfit choices (Lord bless her soul, she is the most talented musician alive, no doubt, but her fashion choices are horrible) for years, even decades now, but we didn't have this whole period where all we got to see was her forgetting to zip up or button up her top and hence exposing her lace bra to the world. It has always been balanced before. She'd wear extremely plunging necklines, the next day she'd be out in a normal t-shirt. Nowadays all I see is her lace bra and boobs. So it's no wonder everyone is suddenly talking about it. We keep going like this, Miss Carey will be joining the "free the nipple" campaign soon too. With a "Yas Queen" from Stella too.

Don't give her any ideas about dangling Roc and Roe. Lol. For that matter, her doing anything with dangle in it can't be good.

I enjoyed her look during that era too. She had a lot of good moments. I am not sure why Mariah's video game is so weak though. Lol. I could speculate, but it's Saturday. *shrug* Her worst look ever is this present day, "Pamela Anderson hoochie leather mama" look. She needs to run immediately to Andre Leon Talley or somebody for some proper guidance. Lol.

Mariah speech at event honouring U.N Secretary (65,229) by 123 from USA
Cute and funny speech lol. I think she looked the best she has ever looked in a long time lol. I guess I'm so used to her having them out now it doesn't bother me lol. Everyone is talking about how inappropriate it is to have them out at this event, but did you see the U.N Secretary make a b line towards her at the end of the speech lol. He was like move over Larry, it's my night and I want to be next to Mariah and take pictures lol. I'm sure he doesn't mind the bra era at all lol. He is paying his wife no mind in this picture with Mariah lol.

Maybe you're right about the "I want to Know what Love" is video. I think I've got a personal bias, because I love her look during this era, long tight brwon curls (like when she was on Oprah), I love those damn boots she's wearing in the video, the song itself slays me and I love that the video is filled with proper lambs. But the CGI is outta control. So maybe on second thought I'll switch IWKWLI video for the Get Your Number video. That giant phone. Lol.
